App sharing across two devices?
Hi, I just bought two Meta Quest 3s to share between me, my wife and two kids. Both are registered to my account and I have added the other accounts to both devices. But when I try to enable app sharing on the second device, it tells me that I have to turn it off on the first device??? Are you honestly telling me that it is not possible to share two meta devices within our family without having to buy all software twice? Please tell me I made a mistake somewhere and this is possible! Everything else would be a joke - a bad one!Solved15KViews4likes11CommentsDisabling App Sharing?
I am a developer for a multiplayer game, we are currently facing a problem where users are abusing app sharing to get around meta account ID bans. Is there a way, for us, as developers to disable the ability to app share our game? If not, is there a way we can get the account ID of who originally owns the game?400Views1like0CommentsSharing apps between two quest 3 headsets
So I purchased my first quest 3 headset 512GB, and absolutely love it. I have also purchased several apps from the meta store and they reside on my headset. I just recently purchased another headset for my wife so that we can play the games that I purchased together. My question is, how do I copy those games over to the new headset that my wife is going to use? Right now I am the admin on my headset and I added her as a user on my headset so that we share until her's comes in. Do we setup the new headset under my account, or a new account under her name? Thank you in advance for your help. MarkSolved32KViews2likes12CommentsMeta Quest 3 initial setup and multiple family accounts
Hi, I know the answer may already be in the forum in some form based on what I've already read but there are so many permutations on this issue I want to be sure I get the right answer for my specific situation. My son setup his quest 3 with his meta account. I presume this makes him the "admin" for this device. Since then I have setup my own account and set it as a supervisor/parent account. It's not clear if my son remains the 'admin' for this headset or if it's me now that I'm supervising his account. 1st question: is it likely that my son is still admin on this headset? We've both been able to log in and use the headset with both our accounts. 2nd question: i want to buy a new app (bonelab) that my son wants. Should I purchase this through his (assuming he is still the admin) account or my account? I want to ensure we are both able to play the game on the headset. Some of my reading indicates I should use the admin account and enable app sharing to be able to do this? Is this correct? 3rd question: can I change my account to be the "admin" account, rather than my son's, so i can manage and share all future purchases? Thank you. I appreciate that this is a common issue with plenty of discussions on this topic but really don't want to accidently end up in some of the twisted account situations I've read about already.Solved23KViews0likes4CommentsTransfering Games to Other Meta Account Profile

Hey all, I am a developer currently making a small app for a customer. I have a quest with developer account and would like to send the app to the customer's quest 2 without them having a developer account. What would the best way to do this? I've seen sideloading and app lab as an option but I would like to keep the amount of steps the customer has to take to the smallest as possible and this app does not need any verification as it is private. Is there any other way or should I go for the app lab route? Kind regards, Chris605Views0likes0CommentsApp Sharing not working
Is anyone else having trouble with the app sharing? I created a second account on my second headset and enabled app sharing. All the apps show up under shared, but anything purchased will not install. Only the free apps actually ever install. I have looked at multiple boards and tried hard resets. Could it be a problem with the second account I set up?1KViews0likes2Comments
