The new quest ui is terrible
so the new ui just came out for meta quest and its the most annoying overly complicated ui i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with anyone know any way to reverse it or suggest they change it back or at least give us the option to choose berween the old and new one its extremly annoying i know along of people feel the same way i have to slide thru like 9 tabs to locate an app i used to be able to see on one easy to slide screen and trying to open the call im on is like a 25 step process vs just clicking on one button on my quick menu please reverse this or give us the option to choose between the 2 or customize it656Views8likes14CommentsAnother problem with Quests and Rewards/ cant redeem meta points
Its starting to get silly now. Almost as if Meta doesnt want you getting free stuff. A few days ago, you couldnt open Mobile meta games (ones required to play to complete certain quests), a day later i couldnt even access the quests and rewards option, always getting an error, and now for 4 days in a row, when i complete the requirements for a quest, the quest disappears from the list but doesnt pay out the relevant amount of meta points. Feels almost intentional. As before, this issue is not resolved by clearing cache, deleting data, re-installing mobile app, using a different device, etc. Please fix this its very disheartening.911Views3likes40CommentsBUG: I can't dim my surroundings to pitch black and keep it black in Full Screen MR mode .
I can't I dim my environment to pitch black , and keep it black, when using Full Screen in Mixed Reality immersive mode... Well I can get it totally black, but then when you physically move slightly , the dimming automatically pops the setting back to make things dimly visible again. This seemed to have been fixed with release on version 2.3 - you could watch movies on Disney or Netflix, go into Full Screen immersion in MR mode and move about on the couch in a total black void without any visible distractions - which was great! Unfortunately as soon as the 2.4 release update rolled out, it reverted back to the broken behavior of snapping the dimming amount from total black to dimly visible every time you moved a little. I try and create a huge cinema size screen about 10ish virtual meters away from me, however when the dimming turns on I get the walls and objects in my tiny apartment messing with the illusion (and causing a stereo vision headache if not avoided). The unwanted auto behavior only seems to happen in Mixed Reality mode. If I go into the full VR home environment, then I can dim down to total black and it sticks and stays black no matter how much I move around. However it takes multiple clicks to get into and out of VR home mode from MR mode and back again that seem totally unnecessary, if the dimming worked as expected (as in v2.3)... If someone wanted the auto undimming behavior (hard to know who would choose that voluntarily, however...) - then please make it a selectable option! If you don't want it to do that behavior, then let it be turned off. There is plenty of space in the settings areas. Also , while thinking of it, can we please add the "lying down mode" switch (currently buried in the Experimental section) to the Quick settings page, where it belongs? Please? The Quest 3 is a really good Cinema simulator for media content, even in its 2K LCD version (roll on a higher res OLED version... which will make it even better ) . Please help maximize its media consumption abilities.18Views0likes0CommentsUnable to Close Apps, Icon Breaks
Open any app. Once opened, open your menu, go through the stupid new UI and open the camera app, then start recording video. Take off the headset so it auto shuts off, which also causes it to stop recording video. Put the headset back on. You will now be unable to close the app you are in as the ridiculous new "current app" icon in the bottom bar will bug out and you can't click on it anymore. It's 2026 what tf are we even doing...52Views0likes3CommentsMeta Horizon Link app says my specs dont meet requirements

I am writing to report a persistent software bug that has been affecting the Meta Quest 3 since the v74 system update, and which still exists in the latest Meta Horizon OS version as of May 2026. Bug Description When the Quest 3 is completely powered off and charged using the original Meta 18W PD charger, the headset's display backlight will flicker briefly at regular intervals. This issue does not occur when using any third-party USB-C PD charger. Detailed Observations - The flickering frequency decreases as the battery level increases: - At 20-40% battery: Flickers approximately every 30 seconds - At 60-70% battery: Flickers approximately every 60 seconds - Above 90% battery: The flickering almost completely stops - The charging indicator light on the side of the headset remains solid orange (charging) or green (fully charged) throughout, confirming that the charging process itself is functioning normally. - The issue does not occur when charging in sleep mode (short press the power button instead of fully shutting down). Preliminary Analysis Based on extensive testing and community research, this appears to be a system-level bug where the power management module incorrectly sends a brief wake signal to the display backlight controller during periodic PD protocol renegotiations with the original Meta charger. Third-party chargers do not support the exact 9V/2A PDO (Power Delivery Object) that the original Meta charger uses exclusively for the Quest 3. Therefore, the system falls back to a generic charging mode that bypasses the faulty protocol negotiation logic. Official Response Received I have contacted Meta customer support regarding this issue. Their only suggested workaround is to charge the headset in sleep mode instead of fully powering it off, which they explained works because "the system has more stable backlight control in sleep mode." This workaround has been confirmed to be effective. Outstanding Questions 1. Hardware Batch Variation Concern: After extensive searching across multiple forums and communities, I have noticed that relatively few users have reported this specific issue. Could this be related to hardware batch differences in either the headsets or the original chargers? 2. Official Recognition and Fix Timeline: While customer support acknowledged the issue, there has been no official public acknowledgment from Meta's engineering team, nor any indication of when a permanent fix might be released. Request I urge Meta to prioritize investigating and fixing this long-standing software bug. Although it does not affect the core functionality of the device or damage the hardware, it is an annoying and unnecessary issue that has persisted for over a year across multiple major system updates. Thank you for your attention to this matter.17Views0likes0CommentsQuestion: Does Meta actually ship the Quest 3 with "NANFU" batteries? Need support confirmation!
Hey everyone, and hopefully Meta Support, I just bought a Quest 3 from a third-party seller who claimed it was "brand new and factory-sealed." However, when I opened the box and checked the controllers, I found Chinese "NANFU" AA batteries inside (see attached picture). I contacted the seller, and they claimed: "Meta officially uses NANFU batteries in some Quest 3 batches." I highly doubt this. So, I have a quick question for Meta Support: Has Meta EVER shipped the Quest 3 with "NANFU" brand batteries straight from the factory? I would really appreciate a quick confirmation so I know how to handle this with the seller. Thanks!Solved157Views0likes5CommentsCelebrity Voices Disappeared.
Ever since my last update my celebrity voices are gone and only have 3 options for voice. I’m told this is location based in specific countries, I am in US and have lost this access. How do we get this back? I have uninstalled the meta app, I have set up my permissions to allow location… please help fix this.76Views0likes1CommentNew navigator Update Noticeable Issues
I've noticed After updating my oculus that I can no longer multitask using audio. I have a sneaky suspicion that this was purposely done As I've seen, other tech companies do similar things, as in taken away Once enabled abilities of your product Through updates. This is extremely frustrating to the point where I made a thread Hoping somebody Could answer my question on why they disabled this multitasking feature. For example, if I'm playing poker and want to listen to Youtube Once I open Youtube and slide it to the side and try to resume my game that no longer can control it It takes my controls away from the game. Also, if I'm using big screen Beta and I get a phone call, it pauses my video and will not let me play the video unless I mute the sound in the video or hang up my phone call. So obviously this update took away the ability to multitask with audio.. The most exciting part was to multitask with my oculus. Now that I can no longer do it. I'm considering on selling Because it seems like these guys are following the same trend as money makers, and they will make us pay for this option I expect in the future When we once had the ability to do it. Knowing that they did this And seeing how things are messing up after every update and getting worse and D evolving I figured I probably wouldn't hang around for the ride Because this is also extremely upsetting133Views1like6Comments
