Referrals in Unsupported Countries
Am i able to redeem my US friend's referral link if i live in an unsupported country? (Brazil) I have a friend that lives in the US that plays VRChat with me (i'm on PC), and he said that if i bought a headset and set it up with his referral link we both would get some credit on the Meta Horizons Store, i bought a headset, and it arrived today, but i couldn't follow him because i live in Brazil and his referral link doesn't work, i've been searching for this information for about an hour with no satisfying answer so i made this post, i already activated my headset without it because it wasn't worth the hassle, but if it can help someone else with the same question then i'll be satisfied.
Will Oculus Quest work in Brazil?
I am buying the quest in American and I intend to take it to Brazil. I am aware that warranty wont cover anything if it's not in America, I just would like to know if I would be able to buy games and play games offline and online in another country (in this case brazil). I opened a ticket and ask someone from the support if the oculus quest would work in Brazil and they didnt know how to answer me. I would like to know if someone can help me.
No Brazil for publishing?
I am about to release a game, and have been visiting https://dashboard.oculus.com to fill the required forms. When I reached the Payment information page, I found out that Brazil is not in the countries list... Why is that? Sorry to make such a comparison, but even Ethiopia, Somalia and Antarctica are in the countries list, should not Brazil be there as well? Thanks.
Why is Brazil out of the Payment Countries?
I was filling the payment information of my Company, as we are about to launch a new game for Gear VR, and I could not find Brazil as one of the countries list. It is really strange, since I just could not find North Korea apart from Brazil. Will I need to open a company offshore to be able to launch a game? What confuses me is that GearVR is officially launched here.
