Adding money to child account
Hello, I am wanting to add money to my son's wallet so he can buy shiny rocks in Gorilla Tag but I don't see how to do that. He has an under 13 account. If he goes to the ATM in Gorilla Tag it says the action is blocked do to age restrictions. I have tried to remove the restriction from his account so I can make the purchase for him but its grayed out. I have even tried to just change his birthday so we can get this done but that doesn't work either. Surely there is a way for a parent to add money or buy items for their kids accounts?Solved14KViews5likes33CommentsSupervised child profile creation issue
I am unable to create a child account for supervision. I had issues creating an account for "Max" and it ended up creating 3 accounts for him. I requested to have the 2 duplicate accounts deleted, but now I'm unable to create accounts for my other 2 children aged 10 and 11. How can I get this restriction removed so that they can have a profile that will allow them to play on their own Quest 3s headsets? I hope I do not have to wait 30 days for the 2 duplicate profiles for "Max" to delete before I'm able to create new ones, since the hard limit for child accounts with supervision appears to be 5 profiles. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!21Views0likes1CommentAuthentication should be required to switch to the admin account on Quest 3
I've created two supervised child accounts, I've added both accounts to our one headset (Quest 3). My account is the admin/parent supervisory account. When I go to the "switch accounts" interface, I can select either child account. But once I'm in that child account, I can just click "switch accounts" and become the other child or the admin without any prompt for passcode or any other kind of authentication. This defeats the purpose of enabling parental controls on the child accounts if they can just switch to the admin account at will. I must be missing something obvious, but I can't figure out how to keep account switching limited for the non-privileged users. I've enabled the headset passcode, but that's not the same thing. That just gives access to the headset. Once any user is admitted to the headset, they can become any of the accounts that are added to that headset including the admin. I keep reading about some kind of swipe pattern that was used on the Quest 2 but I haven't seen any menu items on Quest 3 that allude to a swipe pattern. I'm sure I'm missing something.Solved9.4KViews13likes27CommentsQuest Link desktop "blocked"
I have a Quest 3. My son has a computer. He wants to use Link to play PC games. Attempting to login to the desktop Link app with his account results in an error saying something like no permission or unauthorized or something. When I login with my account on Link it lets me do so, but then attempting to link via his account on the Quest 3 headset results in a message stating "blocked" or similar and prompts that the parent can update his account to enable Link access. There is no such menu option in Family center to enable linking. Additionally, when not connected to his PC, while logged in through his Meta account, going to settings > Link and attempting to enable results in the same message; something about it being blocked Where can I enable my son's meta account to connect via Link. Currently he cannot connect to his PC with the Quest 3, unless he uses my meta account on both the headset and the desktop software. I see no option in the family center to enable Link206Views0likes4CommentsYou aren't able to create an account based on the information that you provided. Child's Account
Hi, I believe it's possible to set up a child's meta account and link it to my account with parent supervision. I've got so far as to enter his email address and name, but when I've entered his date of birth I'm getting the message: "Something went wrong You aren't able to create an account based on the information that you provided." I'm guessing it's nothing to do with age, because even when I try a different birth year I'm getting the same message. The only solution I've got at the moment is to let him play VR on my adult account - which doesn;t really seem ideal. Thanks in advanceSolved35KViews4likes63Commentspurchased games for child account
I’m a parent managing a child account. My child is the Oculus user. She wants to play Beat Saber so I purchased it from the store and gave her permission to use it, but in her headset it just says “Request sent.” I’m sure I must be missing a step, but I have no idea how to get her access to this game. I hope someone can help! wd12KViews1like34CommentsYouth gorilla tag - can’t talk/hear others
My 10 year old can no longer play with others in gorilla tag since the latest update. He only hears monkey sounds, cannot talk or hear others. We have re-set, updated the game. He got a message (3/31/24) when powering on that parental restrictions have been updated by meta but I cannot find anything online supporting that or telling me what has changed. Has something changed that no longer allows under 13 to play? Is there a way to bypass?Solved30KViews2likes31Comments
