Missing NoesisGizmo changePage function
Unfortunately, despite the Meta Horizon v243 Release Notes, there is no changePage function. Is there a workaround or is this going to be added on Monday hours before the contest deadline? I could certainly use this function and was coding some features to use it when I noticed the function was missing from the API.Solved116Views0likes8CommentsMHCP Joining for Innovation Contest
Hi, I have 2 colleagues who want to submit for the Meta Horizon Creator Competition: Mobile Innovation and applied to MHCP about a week ago in order to do that. The page mentions an expedited process for the contest, could they expect to hear back before submission date next week potentially? I'd like to be able to build worlds with them. (Also posted on Noesis forum) Meta's documentation for using a Noesis Gizmo and driving UI changes via typescript are pretty sparse. I managed to get the basics set up, and I can make and see the UI in the World, but that's about it, no interaction. I got to that point by following this video: https://youtu.be/cu-u8cTYomg?si=Zr-JKNH5hJAt3WD5 Meta's documentation only has snippets of code here and there and I'm not able to follow it. I have got my player interacting with the Gizmo, which brings up the focused interaction mode and I can click buttons on the Noesis UI panel, but I'm stuck where I don't know how to drive UI data from the typescript nor respond in the typescript from UI events. I'm trying to get tab navigation going and buttons that affect game state/various meters, and I want buttons that need to be held down for a specified duration before their command is executed, so I'll need to intercept button click/down/up events. I learn better from videos but this documentation here is hard for me to follow: https://developers.meta.com/horizon-wor ... and-events Any guidance is appreciated.Solved192Views0likes2CommentsIs it possible to win the competition with games that were already published or created beforehand?
Hello everyone, I have a question about the last competition that Horizon Worlds held, Meta Horizon “Creator Competition: Mobile Genre Showdown - Reloaded.” I’ve been looking through people’s projects to decide which one to vote for, and I noticed that some of them were created before the competition even started. I’ve even seen some partners who have submitted games that they had already made or started beforehand, which I don’t quite understand, especially considering they’re partners. I’d like to know if it was allowed to submit games that we had already started before the competition was launched? I assume that shouldn’t be allowed, but since I’ve seen Partners and Members submit games that were created months earlier, I need to know if those games are still eligible to win prizes. If not, I hope the Meta team takes a look into it.Solved140Views1like2Comments"Worlds with therapist NPCs cannot be published" - stopping me from publishing world
I have 3 NPCs in my world, none of which have any AI conversation capabilities. On the publishing panel, I am seeing a disabled button with the tooltip stating "Worlds with therapist NPCs cannot be published". I am not sure what these are but I am pretty sure my world does not have any. If anyone has experienced this and knows how to resolve it, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from them! ThanksSolved112Views0likes6CommentsMuting music only
Hi Even though we added music to the game, we'd like to add a button that will let players turn off the music if they'd rather listen to their teammates and friends. So far, we couldn't mute just the music channel. We could only stop all the sounds. Any help that you could give us in how to control just the music in the game would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,Solved33Views0likes2CommentsGen AI Tools gone on desktop editor
I'm currently facing an issue on Meta's desktop editor. I am unable to access the Gen AI tools and am unsure if they have been moved to a different location. I used to have the option on the upper right of my screen but can't seem to find it now I am currently in the US though I traveled abroad a few months ago, not sure if that has something to do with it. I'm gonna need it for the creator competition since it said use at least one Gen AI feature in our world. Is anyone else facing the same issue or knows how to resolve this?80Views0likes3CommentsCongrats to the prize winners!
Congratulations to all the mobile game prize winners. Although I was not one of the winners (😔), as an experienced TypeScript developer, I really liked learning the Horizon Worlds API and development tools. If you need help with future projects, please keep me in mind. And visit my contest entry, Galactic Treasure Hunt, to add to my milestones! https://horizon.meta.com/world/652276037540703/?locale=en_US189Views0likes2CommentsUnable to Load Content
I am trying to finish a contest entry for the Open Source competition, but I shutdown my server and my account broke. I can no longer access any Worlds Editor. It just does what's in the attached image. When I switched my secondary computer over to this account, it instantly breaks too, but it was working on a different account. There was a bit where I could click the "Retry" button a few hundred times and it worked, but now that isn't working either. I've contacted support and posted feedback, but I really need this fixed ASAP. (I've already tried all troubleshooting options)192Views0likes9CommentsBroken Reference
Hello, I would like to know if there is any way to fix the Broken Reference issue in scripts and UI. I’ve made a package for the competition and everything works fine in the world, but once I create the asset with everything, the UI script shows a Broken Reference in the asset, and the same thing happens if I install it in other worlds. I’ve tried making it public, but the issue still persists.Solved80Views0likes5Comments
