Quest 3 left controller joystick
I’ve been having issues with my left controller joystick. It won’t move correctly for a seemingly random amount of time, then after that it works perfectly fine. The problem is that the headset won’t interpret the joystick movements correctly, so for example if I push it to move forward, it may move only slightly forward or not at all. The time that these issues has varied incredibly, from only one day, to many months with the issue. It was endurable previously because the issue only arose for directions like left, right and backward. But now it’s not understanding forward movement. I’ve tried replacing the battery, and factory resetting the controller multiple times, but the only thing that ever works is just waiting for it to fix itself. Is there any way of actually fixing that isn’t just buy a new controller?58Views0likes2CommentsQuest 3 Controllers disconnecting at certain distance
I've been noticing lately that my hands will just suddenly become stiff if I stretch, grab something in VRChat or when I'm trying to grab something on a current model I'm wearing. Its becoming increasingly worrisome that I can't even grab things on certain models that you can actively grabbed Now I'm in a well lit room, my radius is lined by my room so plenty of space. I just don't know what it is, please someone help.23Views0likes0CommentsQuest 2 Controller Tracking Degradation
Hi everyone, I’m hoping for some input from experienced Quest 2 users before I make a final decision regarding controller replacement / moving away from meta by upgrading my headset. Over time, my right touch controller (and to a lesser extent the left) has developed noticeable tracking degradation. This wasn’t a sudden failure, it gradually became more apparent during gameplay, particularly in Beat Saber where consistent tracking is important for accuracy and fitness use. I’ve gone through extensive troubleshooting, including: Testing in multiple rooms (including a different property) Controlled lighting conditions (no direct sunlight, no reflective surfaces, no LED interference) Fresh batteries (multiple brands) Re-pairing controllers Cleaning headset cameras and controller rings Guardian reset Full factory reset Testing both standalone and via PCVR The issue persists across all environments. I’ve been in contact with support and understand that, as the device is out of warranty, replacement controllers would need to be purchased through the out-of-warranty program. Investing close to £100 in refurbished replacements, seems very risky and steep, I want to be absolutely certain there isn’t a less obvious cause I’ve overlooked, especially since the root cause hasn’t been conclusively identified as hardware failure. Has anyone experienced gradual tracking degradation like this and successfully resolved it without replacing hardware? I’m particularly interested in: Battery contact or movement issues Less obvious environmental interference Known long-term wear factors Any advanced diagnostics I can try I use my headset primarily for exercise, so reliability is important, but I’d prefer to rule out every possible factor before committing to replacement hardware. Appreciate any constructive suggestions — thank you in advance.188Views0likes5CommentsSent Controllers with Headset By Mistake
I recently had to send in my Quest 3 for an OOW replacement. I thought the controllers had to be sent in as well, so I included them. The replacement headset arrived today and, of course, no controllers were included. How can I retrieve my controllers? Any help appreciated.39Views0likes1CommentNo controllers are connected to my headset and hand tracking isn't turned on what do I do?!?!

Hello, I am reaching out on behalf of one of our clients, who has reported the following: While running our application, their users may occasionally press the Meta button, which invokes the Meta UI and temporarily makes it so they cannot interact with our application until the Meta UI is closed out of. This part makes perfect sense. However, the issue is that they have reported difficulty in closing out the Meta UI and returning back to our application. Normally, users can either press the Meta button again (or press the 'Resume' button while the Meta UI is overlayed) to return back to the application. In our client's case, they state that they have to press the Meta button / press the 'Resume' button multiple times before the Meta UI finally responds to the action and closes out, returning to the application. In their troubleshooting, they could not find any consistent pattern that would indicate a condition that triggers this. For instance: They are using Quest 3 headsets Some of them are on Shared Mode or Kiosk Mode, while others are not Some of them are on an MDM solution while others are not The controllers do not have any noticeable debris on them and are regularly cleaned with approved electronic sanitization products (i.e. low moisture wipes and set to dry in a UV cart, not using any sprays) The controller batteries are also regularly charged before any session of our application is run Tracking frequency on controllers is set to 'auto' *Especially for the 2nd and 3rd point listed above about Shared/Kiosk Mode and MDM solution - it does not matter whether these headsets have these enabled. The issue occurs on headsets that have these enabled as well as those in which these are not applicable. Can you kindly please suggest additional troubleshooting suggestions that our client can try, as this issue is significantly impacting their use of the application? Thank you, and please let me know if there are additional details I can share.28Views0likes0CommentsController(s) failed 3x in month. Now the right has solid purple lights.
I am sooooooooooo tired of not being able to use my $500 quest 3 because of these controllers constantly failing. the purple lights is new. The first two times, there was no explanation. Meta support is useless. Meta again wants me to send back the right controller, and the process takes a month. I basically have not been able to use it more than a few days after the first fail of left. Meta keeps sending refurbished, won't address rhe firmware or bigger issue, and my warranty runs out soon, which means buying new controllers every week? Seriously? I have done everything but a factory reset of headset because 1. It's a pain to set back up, and 2. I have a feeling it won't work anyway based on what I read. I put in fresh batteries and it either says it is dead or 70% which makes absolutely no sense. why does this keep happening and is there a potential fix?107Views0likes0CommentsBattery can't touch battery contact in Quest 3s controller
As you can see the battery contact on the right controller somehow moved down a bit and when I put in a battery it doesn't touch it so the controller doesn't receive power and doesn't work, atleast that's what I think is happening. I don't want to pull the contact back up cause I am scared I will break it even more but if there is nothing else I can do than I will try it. Does anyone know how to fix it?Solved487Views1like3CommentsCan I connect my Quest 3 controllers to my Quest 2?
I have Quest Pro Controllers that I have been using on my Quest 2 (Great!!) I purchased a Quest 3 and will be moving the Quest Pro Controllers to it. I would like/prefer to pair my Quest 3 Controllers to my Quest 2 Headset. Currently this is not an option to select in the App. Are there any plans to allow Quest 3 Controllers to work on a Quest 2 (similar to how the Pro Controllers work on Q2)? What would be the reason to not allow/support it? Thank You! MrTasselhof YouTube (MrTasselhof) Twitch (MrTasselhof)55KViews10likes19Comments
