Oculus quest 2 developer mode not working properly
Hello, Since yesterday 15:30 (AMS time) The developer hub app stopped working properly. I've done a total of 3 factory resets. I reinstalled all my accounts. Reinstalled every app on my computer for developing for the oculus. But the problem persists. The problem is: I connect the oculus through the usb cable to the computer. The hub detects it as usual. But 6 seconds into the future and it kicks the device right of the hub. It tells me: Device detected but unauthorized. Please put on your headset to confirm the USB Debugging dialog. Funny thing is, I allowed this already. I have to restart the device to see this window pop up again. It's on always allow for this computer. But the problem still persists. It kicks my device after exactly 6 seconds and I get the same message, over and over again. Lovely problem. Working already for 6 hours to resolve this problem, but can't seem to find anyone on any forum with the same problem. I haven't found a work around so if someone finds a solution or knows what is wrong please let me know. Just want to add that this is one of the worst devices I have worked with. Can't seem to get this device to work stable for development. Mark fix your company14KViews4likes6CommentsOculus 3 developer mode not working to show sideloaded apps
We have an app in the store and are trying to sideload a new version for a demo. It is saying we can't pirate the app. It is our app. When I uninstall it through the app store and side load it it does not show up in the installed app list. What can I do to fix this? We have some errors on the app store version and are trying to see if we have fixed it. We also have a presentation today and need to run the new version ASAP470Views0likes0CommentsUnable to toggle on Developer Mode (Quest 3)
Our organization is looking to develop content for Quest and purchased 12 Quest 3 headsets for testing. Upon setting up meta accounts for each headset, adding each to our developer organization, and verifying the accounts, we are unable to toggle on developer mode for the headsets. The option used to be on the headsets themselves, but we no longer see it at all. The iOS Meta Horizon app shows a link to a guide on getting our organization set up, rather than the toggle-able option to enable developer mode. We've already completed the steps in this guide. Has anybody else encountered this issue? After speaking to two different departments in Meta/Oculus, I was given the link to this forum to receive "further support", I'm not sure if that meant from community members that resolved this issue, or from staff in here.1.4KViews0likes3CommentsUserAgeCategory Error
Two of our developers got a error in the "UserAgeCategory.Get().OnComplete" callback that just said "400". I can't find anything about what this error message could indicate. Doesn't seem to happen to me I think I'm the only one who "Owns" the game The other are invited to separate branches (not sure if that counts as owning, as it passes the entitlement check), so I'm wondering if this has something to do with developer accounts or something else?517Views0likes0CommentsI am not receiving SMS verification code when creating developer Account
I browsed this forum and none of it helped, Yes my country (Polnad) is supported, I tried using Firefox and Google chrome, I did not use incognito mode, I am not using a vpn and as per title I dont receive any verification code via SMS when trying to register for developers account1.9KViews2likes1CommentNo "USB Dialog Connection" option when enabling Developer Mode
I am trying to enable Developer Mode on my Meta Quest 3 and am running into a problem while following 2 different official developer docs: Setup Development Environment & Headset doc; and Enable Developer Mode doc I can confirm that I have logged in dashboard.meta.com using my normal Facebook account, I've created an "Org" and verified my credit card. I've enabled developer mode from inside the Headset Settings on the Meta Quest app on my phone. Both documents now want me to do the exact same thing: put on my headset, and then go to Settings >> System >> Developer. And from there, they want me to turn on the USB Dialog Connection option. The problem is, when I go to Settings >> System >> Developer, I only see these options: As you can see, no mention of a "USB Dialog Connection" option. There is only a "USB Link Auto-Connect" option, but that's already enabled. Can anyone spot where I'm going awry? Am I in the wrong screen perhaps? Also, secondary to that, can anyone clue me in here and explain what this "Quest PC app" is (from my screenshort) with respect to Meta Quest 3 development, and what it might be used for? Is it a debugger/emulator perhaps? I Googled it and it looks like it was something used for Oculus, so I'm not sure why the Meta Quest 3 has options available for it. Thanks in advance for any-and-all help!1.5KViews0likes1CommentCant access Developer mode.
Hey guys, im unable to access developer mod and the meta page makes it kinda impossible to verify my account and create an organization, i've tried everything, payment and phone code method wont work and the verification app isn't accepted as real verification by the page sooooo im totally stuck, also meta support wont answer my PM's anymore... there go my hopes and dreams. 😞 Is there any workaround or maybe some org i could join to access Dev Mode? any help it's greatly appreciated! ;3754Views0likes0CommentsMultiple Developers using one headset.
We have a Meta Quest Pro and we have multiple developers who want to develop for it. What practical way can this be achieved? It seems that only the owner account can side load apps for testing to the headset and all subsequent accounts are unable to be developer accounts as they can't pair the headset to the Meta Quest mobile app. Considering developer accounts need 2FA activated it's not really practical to share one account so what is the solution here for multiple developers using the same headset?1.8KViews0likes2CommentsDeveloper Mode Issues Update
Hello everyone, Thank you all for your reports and your patience on this issue! In regards to developers being unable to enable Developer Mode in the Oculus app, a new update has been pushed to fix the issue. Please update your Oculus app to the latest version (as of the date of this post) and try enabling Developer Mode once more. Update 11/8: The fix pushed to the latest App Update does not seem to have fixed the issue for all developers. At this time we are re-opening the issue and will update this post as well as this forum thread with any relevant details. In the meantime, many of our awesome developers have shared that verifying using a Credit Card allowed the Developer Mode option to appear. Update 11/15: We have received reports that this issue has been fixed for most developers experiencing this issue. Please log out and log back into your Oculus app and try enabling Developer Mode once more. If you still experience the same issue, please reach out to our team at https://developer.oculus.com/support (click "Contact Us") and we'll dive deeper.31KViews8likes53Comments
