Virtual Desktop with cable connection
I have read some posts here and there and found out, that Quest3 supports USB-Ethernet Adapter. After some tests, the best adapter ist this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0C3GHBLB6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It works great, i can charge my quest at gaming and if i start at 95%...play a hour....i end at 95%. It´s a absolut stable connection without interferences and i can use godlike with 500mbps! (measured is ~480mbps, but 500mbps works without any problem) For me the best PCVR link/experience i can get! For use you need: -developer account -activated USB debugging -DHCP in Router Short summary: -turn off WLAN in Quest 3 -LAN cable to router <> adapter -PD to adapter -Adapter to Quest 3 -Turn on and check if the store is loading without WLAN, then you know, it´s working Greetings....ah, and if a meta developer read this: PLEASE DON`T TURN OFF THIS FEATURE!23KViews8likes31CommentsBe a part of Meta's Developer User Research Panel

I am a newby and have a hardware team that creates sports game controllers with special features. In the VR world we see many "holders" of meta controllers to mimic real sports wands, bats etc. We do not want to use the pass-through feature and am reaching out to this forum to advise on how our custom controller can talk directly into the VR game itself?717Views3likes1CommentApp Lab Alpha Release Channel - users not getting opt in email
I have added several users to the alpha release channel of my app, but no one is getting notifications in their emails and no one can see the app in their library. The documentation on this is confusing, here it says they will get an email once I've added them (but they are not getting the email) https://developer.oculus.com/resources/publish-release-channels-add-users/ here it says the app will show up in "my preview apps" but doesn't mention the notification email https://developer.oculus.com/resources/publish-release-channels/ In addition I can't seem to change the app banner without doing a final submission, that's not helping anyone find it in their library either. How can I change the icon?2.2KViews2likes3CommentsCan't find more settings to access developer mode on Oculus app (quest 2)
I'm signed up successfully as a developer on Oculus. My headset is synced to my phone app perfectly, it says it's connected. I want to go into developer mode through the app, and every tutorial I find on how to achieve this says I have to access settings to do so. However, there are only two settings options I can find -- Account Settings, and Privacy Settings. Neither of these contains what I'm looking for. Supposedly there is a "more settings" option somewhere, but it doesn't seem to exist. Why won't it allow me to go into Developer Mode on the app?3.2KViews2likes4Comments'APK is for 6DoF devices only' error when uploading build
Hello, I have made a multiplayer game in Unity, i'm trying upload to the developer dashboard to test the network features and i'm getting this error, 'APK is for 6DoF devices only' This is meant for the Quest so that is correct, I have tried unticking support for oculus go and gear vr (the 3DoF devices) in specs thinking that had something to do with it, can anyone help me to understand what it wants here? Thankyou for your time. using : Unity with Oculus integration tool 1.385.8KViews2likes17CommentsAligning world with Guardian Play Area
I seem to be at a loss for I have been working on this problem for the last couple of days. I am trying to create a game where the player walks through the environment by walking around their play area given it meets the requirements (7 ft x 7 ft). I, however, seem to not be able to make the world align with the play area. I am able to get the play area and calculate where the player is inside of the play area as well as calculate the angle in which the world needs to be rotated to become aligned with the play area. Nothing that I do has seemed to work despite the numbers I have gotten. Has anyone else done this and can give me pointers or a solution on how this might be done?Solved9.9KViews2likes17Comments
