Quest 2 controllers not pairing or tracking
I hate complaining and usually I just try to make things work, but this is my second Meta Quest2 and i'm struggling with the same BS that I did with the first one with the **bleep** left controller floating all over the place on the screen and now it won't pair at all. The mobile app says it’s paired, but it doesn’t reflect that in VR. I use this device primarily for working out.I worked out yesterday with one controller whilst still holding onto the non working one and would tap the meta button and it would occasionally pause the game and at times would flash onto the screen for half a second but keeps showing a pop up saying the left controller isn’t connected. It doesn’t matter if I’m in the Home Screen or the supernatural app, the issues persist no matter what I do. I’ve done factory resets which seemed to help a little with the drifting at first, but the hey never went away completely. I just started to get used to it. I use the Supernatural app every single day I have auto immune disease that limits my mobility if I don't keep moving and this app has been perfect for that but trying to get a hold of someone in Meta Quest Support is a freaking nightmare. It's just back-and-forth with the email I mean I spent $300 on the device and they can't even send me a new controller and you go to try to order another controller and it's almost as much as the Device constantly having issues with controllers, not working When the device itself is less than six months old, I've tried every troubleshooting tip. I have restarted my device unpaired and repaired my controllers. Reset the device and nothing nothing ever changes. The drifting would improve slightly from time to time. It was really touching go. I didn't know whether it was gonna give me problems until I turned it on and started playing. and then occasional drift issues. I was just dealing with to now today I can't even get my controller to pop up on the screen. It just won't pair. Sorry for ranting. I'm just really really pissed off. There's no way to call Meta it's probably because their products are Garbage and they want to make it as complicated as possible to talk to someone so you just give up and get a new one I wish it were more like iPhone where if you need your device to be repaired they send you a replacement and just have you send the broken one back but alas, it's like a wild goose chase just trying to contact someone in Support being in VR and then going through your email on your phone is such a pain. The whole set up of customer Support is just infuriating when doing the back and forth through email takes so much time. I have a special needs kiddo and I can’t just wait by my phone/ computer waiting for a reply when I have like 20 other things to do Again I'm sorry for ranting. I just needed to get this out. I'm just frustrated.1.1KViews0likes4CommentsRift S SLAM Drifting correction in warehouse scaling
Hi! everyone, I'm trying to correct the Oculus Rift S SLAM Drifting in warehouse scaling. I assume that this drift is due to the XYZ 0.0.0 Reference set at the beginning of the experience and to the impossibility to create or add some Anchors in the real world. So... I would like to use OpenCV ArUco markers hooked in some space of my warehouse and to make the Virtual world moving slowly to this reference to fit and match with the real world. By the way I should be able to use the real objects occlusions, rather than avoid them... Is there a way to access to the Rift S SDK to use the buffer of the tracking SLAM Camera? I would like to implement all my stuff in a UE4 project ;) does anyone else have some idea to share, or some previous experience with this objective? Thanks.851Views0likes1Comment
