Headset keeps freezing
Hi im destiny, And i have a issue my quest 2 keeps freezing if it using memory, When it using memory my headset it also get hot not normal warm or something realy hot, On a cold start and while using it it freezes a lot. What do i mean with freezes like all the apps not even one giving me a frozen screen when i try to rotate my head it is black on the edges and when i turn 180 its upside down and its issn't playable anymore. Iv'e tried: restarting factory reset cleaning lenses for tracking its even getting it on cold or hard boot. Let me say i have tried everything but the issue keeps existing. My headset is more than 2 years old and i have no idea what to do anymore. I hope somebody can help me. Greetz Destiny.
Screen freezes/image follows face upon returning to main menu
So I've been seeing this issue in my Oculus Quest app where, upon returning to the main menu from a level, the screen freezes and the image follows your face around - I'm not sure if there's a name for this but I feel there should be, since I've seen it happen many times and I'm sure others have too. At first I thought it was because the OVRManager component of my OVRCameraRig was getting destroyed/disappearing, but I made sure it didn't disappear and it's still happening. Then, I thought it was because the OVRManager was getting disabled, so I made sure it's always enabled and the same thing happens. I do know that the object that is the parent of the OVRCameraRig, which we have called the Overlord, has clones that are created and then instantly destroyed - it seemed like this may be causing the issue but I'm not sure. Has anyone seen this behavior before, and does anyone know what causes it? I'm using Unity version 2019.3.15f1, Oculus Utilities version 1.51.0, OVRPlugin version 1.51.0, SDK version 1.51.0. Thanks!
Quest freezes when I take it off
When I take my Quest off (To answer the phone or something) and then put it back on, it usually stops tracking. It comes up with an error message that for some reason the device is unable to track. also, it no longer sees the controllers and the whole "look at what you want to choose and press the button" stops working as well. The only way to get everything to work again is to hold the power button until the headset reboots.And you have to do that a few times before it works. I pause the game, put the headset to sleep and set it on the floor at my feet to keep it in the play area whenever I take it off. I also have plenty of light in the room. But it still does the above. It seems like after I play (population one) for a while the game begins to get choppy and laggy and the more aggressive I play the more the headset can't keep up with the visuals and for split seconds what I see turns in to a 2D picture frozen in space surrounded by darkness. It tries to catch back up in 3D and continues to do the same thing a few more times and then crashes to the Oculus home lobby. This has been reoccurring every day for the past several days.. Since no one else seems to be having this issue in any of the VR groups I am in I'm guessing it must be the hardware and if this is already happening a month in to owning the quest 2 I'm nervous replacing versus returning. I just hate I have bought a couple hundred dollars worth of accessories and would have to return them as well. I could see having problems like this 2 years down the road but not after only a month. Also seems like the tracking when first powered on is becoming more and more glitchy(lost tracking, can't find play area, controller being shown pointing in opposite direction). I purchased from Amazon and could request a return or replace at this time. If I replaced how would I be able to attach my facebook account to the new headset and re-download the games I have purchased? Any support would be greatly appreciated! Hello everyone, I hope someone can can help me. Since a few days my quest crashes every time after a few minutes. The crash occurs in all games that I'm playing (tested on quest tutorial, Eleven). The following happend: The picture freezes. I see the information of the eye distance. After a few seconds black screen. The quest only starts when I hold the power button for 30 seconds. Had someone of you the same effect and has someone an idea how to solve it? Unable to play any game or use an app at the moment. Thanks in advance for you help...
Quest Issues :(
Hello, My oculus quest is having some major issues as far as accessibility. Every time i try to go to the home store page my headset does not load anything afterwards. Also, my oculus link home opens and immediately freezes and i have to turn off my quest to access it. I hope this issue is resolved soon so i can play the games i just bought today.
Why is it suddenly impossible to create stencils? | Oculus Medium
Hey, I started using Oculus Medium with the Rift S on a Windows 10 machine this january. Everything was fine but now when I make a stencil it is stuck on the loading screen and turns into the cinemascreen view with everything around that rectangle being black. Also when turning the head the contours of whats on the screen smear if that is relevant. I tried letting it do its thing for 15 minutes but nothing changed (the sound of it processing continued though. I also restarted and updated Windows and the Oculus Firmware, tried different projects and even just tried turning extremely lowpoly-blobs into stencils but it´s all leading to the mentioned freezing. My machine specs are: Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X and 32 GB of RAM. Other than Google Chrome and Spotify I didn't multitask heavily either. It just suddenly stopped working fine. Do you have any clue what the root of the cause could be or if this is a common problem by any chance? My Oculus Quest is freezing all the time no matter which game i start the quest starts to freeze random after 10/20/30 minutes in game or in link .I tried allready different USB ports ,updated my Nvidia driver,turned off the Nvidia game overlay,turned of the Public beta channel .In my first week i never had a problem with my quest but now its freezin all the time and sometimes it wont connect. iam using the cable tex USB C cable to typ C USB 3.1 3meters with Nimaso USB too USB C adapter USB 3.0 5gb´s speed.Oculus Go Freezing and Restarting Continuously (Reboot Loop)
I am using oculus go for almost 2 months now. Yesterday i faced an issue where my oculus go is randomly freezing and thn it restarts. Sometimes it is freezing on the boot screen logo and sometime on oculus home screen. My headset if fully charged, there is no heating issue, it is updated to latest firmware and mobile app and i tried resting my oculus go and even after reseting problem is still the same. I hope this is not a hardware issue since i live in india and sending back the device is long process. I have searched the oculus forum but could not find anything related to this issue. can anyone help.
