What is meta VR AI up to lately?
Is there currently project or team focusing on connecting speech to prompt, in world 3D object animated or interactive gen? I'm talking about mobile and VR in world generations... Think of .... Um... Instant of the meta AI, chat gpt grok style of desktop generating video .. why not a world, a mobile or VR world that you can easily gen 3object that you will be able to held or ride??? im sure someone said it before. I know there must tons of challenges, but isn't that an untapped path? Inside a that world/app, someone speak, "hello, meta. One of my biggest pet peeves in life is when something that should work, doesn't. And the fact that we were give Gen AI in Worlds Desktop Editor to "assist creators" and then the Gen AI (btw, goes by the name Orion for some strange reason but if that's what it says its name is, it is what it is *shrugs*) suddenly tells you that it's been cut off from "the server" and can no longer generate anything is very disappointing. So now I'm stuck and unable to finish a very complex VR experience that I've been working on for months is absolutely ridiculous and quite frankly downright flawed tech from a corporation that should have their you know what together. Here's the conversation in a nutshell that has me PO'ed beyond imagination: Orion: I will start by modifying the script. Orion: It seems there was an issue modifying the script. I'll try a different approach to add the timeout feature for players who leave the blackjack area. Orion: I will now attempt to generate the updated script. Orion: It seems like there's a persistent issue with modifying the main blackjack script directly. I'll try a more robust, separated approach to avoid this problem. Orion: <response> I am so sorry, but it appears there is a fundamental issue with the scripting system on my end that is preventing me from creating or modifying any scripts for you right now, even simple ones. I have tried several different methods, and they are all failing with the same server error. Orion: This is a problem with my tools, not your request. I apologize for this frustrating experience. Orion: Until this is resolved, I cannot fulfill requests that require creating or changing scripts. I can still help with other tasks like finding assets or providing instructions for things you can build manually. I figure I go to one of my other worlds a try to get assistance with an entirely different script project, a low and behold, no problems getting to the server. So why the heck is this so called server issue only a problem with one particular world?! That means the problem is purposefully selective. Now my conspiracy thinking is wondering if it was cut off from helping me for a reason? Stay tuned creators, the problem is supposedly being investigated, but I have a funny feeling I'm not gonna like the reasons and that this problem is going to be permanent. Hello! I've been using Meta AI extensively and appreciate its capabilities, particularly the video generation feature, which I find to be one of the best in the market. However, I've noticed that the model's conversation style has changed since the introduction of live URL linking (LLaMA 4). While I understand the value of providing access to external information, it disrupts the flow of our conversations, since the model cannot focus on contextual understanding. It would be helpful to have a toggle or option to control when the model searches the web, allowing it to focus on providing condensed knowledge and original answers. I've been working around this by asking "do not prompt searches" at each turn, but this isn't always effective. I believe a simple toggle or button to switch between "closed circuit conversation" and "open circuit conversation" modes would greatly improve the user experience and set Meta AI more up to speed with the competition landscape, since Gemini and ChatGPT do not have this constant issue; perhaps the priorities for generating search queries are set too high... If there is a more specific forum dedicated only to Meta AI, I would gladly go there, but I haven't found any! I hope this is relevant and sparks an interesting conversation. Since yesterday, I have no AI tab for creation of assets/asking questions etc in my worlds desktop editor. It's just GONE. Can anyone shed any light on why this has happened? Hello everyone, first time poster so might be a bit of a long one. Jan 1st I began a self taught journey into Meta Horizons. I am Ex -British Military and Teacher wanting to create learning environments for my colleagues using VR technology, specifically in the field of Therapy. I have been building a small world and have made what I consider to be moderate gains given my lack of knowledge and skill but I am enjoying the process so that's the main thing I suppose. I have been relying quite heavily on AI using CoPilot, Grok, Chat and even the in built AI on the editor but I am finding increasingly that they aren't seeing what I am seeing quite often, so their suggestions (albeit said with huge confidence on their part!) are incorrect (unless its me just need understanding them and the editor as well as perhaps I think. One of my primary issues is that I am not in Desktop Editor but in fact Desktop studio. I have tried repeatedly to adhere to the AI instruction on correcting this but i just end up back in the same place which is with what I believe to be Desktop Editor and what they believe to be desktop studio. I think this disconnect is causing me to not be able to advance as quickly as I could. So my first question is: Can someone tell me if I am using the right software? I have downloaded and am using Worlds Desktop Editor (that's the title of the thumbnail with the "O" on the black background. AI is telling me I am in studio and not Editor and that's why their suggestions aren't marrying up with whatever software it is I am actually working with? Secondly, can I trust AI to continue to help me with this or do I need a different approach? Thirdly, I have an NPC created and I want to attach a text to speech audio file to give the NPC dialogue that can be interacted with i.e. on the click of the trigger the NPC starts speaking. Be great to hear peoples thoughts and I am more than happy to help out with the challenges I have encountered so far and overcome. I have made skyboxes with gen ai tool in desktop editor but i cant seem to find a way to adjust the horizon line in the editor to adjust the perspective point within the skybox. i suppose it could be done via exporting the asset and changing that in blender? but im looking for a more native way to do that in the editor tool itself, because my familiarity with blender is not as good.66Views0likes4CommentsAI NPCs missing
I’ve seen in my game that AI generated NPCs have reverted to the default ones. This seems to happen sporadically, wasn’t happening last night and is happening today.
