APK No Longer Loading onto Headset
I've been able to package my game many times and drag and drop the .apk into the MQDH and it was working just fine. But today it suddenly stopped working. It shows the .apk loading then says the APK Successfully Installed, but the application isn't there. I tried it on older .apk builds that worked before but I'm getting the same thing for them too now. I've tried restarting all my devices. Quest. Computer. MQDH. Unplugged the headset. Nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else had this? Does anyone have a fix?Solved4.4KViews1like5CommentsError uploading app via MQDH ("Installing CLI...")
Hi, I've recently updated MQDH to 4.5.0 and I've been unable to upload new app versions since. Trying to upload, I'm getting this message: "Error: spawn EBUSY" After trying to restart and try again a few times, I'm getting: "CLI not found or does not have permissions to execute" In the release channels screen, to the right where the "upload" button was, there's a loading icon and hover shows "installing CLI" but it remains this way forever. I've tried: - Restarting PC - Reinstalling MQDH 4.5.0 - Reinstalling MQDH to previous version 4.4.1 - Pushing previous versions of APK (it would error on version code but it never got there) to make sure the APK isn't the problem - Pointing ADB to different path - Running MQDH as admin - Removing "odh" folder from appdata as suggested in some older threads Other (recent) devs having this issue: - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Quest-Development/Build-Upload-Error-CLI-not-found-or-does-not-have-permissions-to/m-p/1129333 - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Developer-Dashboard/MQDH-cannot-installing-latest-CLI/m-p/1113150 - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Developer-Dashboard/quot-Installing-latest-cli-quot-is-always-displayed-in-the-App/m-p/1180422#M1648 Any pointers would be appreciated! Hello! I'm looking for some help/clarification for the Meta Quest Developer Hub's build deployment feature. The Documentation Page covers the basics of using MQDH to upload an application to the Quest, which seems to work fine as long as the app only requires a single OBB file. Unfortunately our Unreal Engine game has recently exceeded the 4gb limit and we've had to split the package into multiple OBBs. When I install the app through MQDH the app fails to launch. If I then manually push the patch OBB (like the install script Unreal generates does) the app will launch correctly. This indicates to me that MQDH will only grab the main OBB file (i.e. `main.1.com.___.obb`) Does anyone know how to get MQDH to install all OBBs present in the same folder as the APK file? Do I need to follow any specific naming conventions or processes? I'd like to continue using MQDH as for some reason it seems that installing the Android commandline tools themselves has been... troublesome for some of our remote team members.2.8KViews1like1Commentquest 3 newbie dev connect issue mistakes
Hi! So, day 1 and the Mrs has setup the quest, I've also got my Dev account but as a visitor / guest / additional profile. I'm trying to connect to mqdh but it won't connect. The instructions say "make sure you are logged in with the same account" and mine is the active profile. Do I need to be the admin user? (I.e. wipe and restart)? Bonus question, if we wipe and restart, will the game sharing only work from the admin account and any games my wife has already bought only work under her profile?549Views1like0CommentsMetrics Hud crashing Quest 2
I'm seeing the Metrics HUD crashing the quest 2 device. I install the apk from the MQDH, it restarts the headset, and then I get stuck a the "objects detected in area" visual with no UI to continue past it. Looking at ADB, my logs are filled with this: "Warn VrRuntimeClient perfmgr: GetSystemPerformanceData(): unexpected version: 0 (vs. 3)" If I restart the headset, it gets stuck at the same place. If I uninstall the metrics hud, it eventually recovers and I can get to the home ui again.626Views0likes0CommentsQuest updates to Oculus Store build while I'm trying to run a test APK
Here's my use case: I need to test unreleased changes for a live app, so I sideload an APK using MQDH. I launch the APK on the Quest. My headset seemingly begins updating the APK to the current live build while the APK is running. The APK closes without reporting an error. My APK disappears from MQDH, and the test build listed in my library is replaced with the current live build. This happens roughly 1/5 of the time I try to run a sideloaded APK. There doesn't appear to be an option to prevent the Quest from auto-updating builds, so I'm not sure how to resolve this.658Views0likes0CommentsMQDH / Developer Dashboard - Server Error - API Error - No Tests Ran on Build
I am having a number of issues with Meta Quest Developer Hub and Developer Dashboard. For the past three days I have been unable to upload a build through MQDH due to a few different errors. I am using the latest version of MQDH. When uploading a build I either get an API_ERROR, ECONNRESET error, or PROCESSING_ERROR "please try again later". Looking at the logs it said server error, attempting to try again, and does this over and over. It doesnt seem to be an issue with my actual build, or manifest or anything that I am able to solve on my end. Have tried reinstalling MQDH or switching the adb file path to match unity. After repeated attempts failing through MQDH I decided to try using the OVR Platform Utility Tool. I was able to upload my .apk with an OBB file, though I received multiple server errors in the process. After about and hour and a half the upload process finally succeeded through the server errors and I am able to see my new build in developer dashboard inside a new release channel. My new issue is that the new build uploaded has not yet gone through the automated testing. I uploaded the build over 16 hours ago. Dashboard still says "No test runs were found to be associated with this build." Because of this I cant actually install and play this new build. And with both MQDH and Dashboard causing issues I am at a complete standstill on my project. Is there some sort of server issue on Metas side that is causing this? Any assistance is greatly appreciatted1.2KViews1like0CommentsQuest Pro - Developer mode issue
Looking for help in getting the Quest Pro into developer mode. I have allowed the developer mode on the MQDH mobile app and within the headset however when I plug the USB-C cable into any computer it makes the noise as if something has connected but never pops up with the allow device and hence does not appear within explorer. Has anyone seen the same issue and got a solution to this?663Views0likes0CommentsHow to Launch App within Oculus Quest 2 using Meta Quest Developer Hub 3.2
Hi, I am using Unreal Engine 5.02 as engine, and I am using the VR Template from the engine. I can generate the apk file without any problem. I add the apk file from my computer to MQDH 3.2 and everything seems fine. The problem that I am facing is the Launch App option from the 3 dot is not available in MQDH. The only thing that I can do is uninstall. However, I already have another apk from a different project and the Launch App option it is available. Has anyone known how to solve this problem? BTW, I checked to File Manager ---> Apps---> and tried to launch the app and it is not working. Same problem as described in my previous paragraph. I am connecting my Oculus Quest 2 using the link cable. The image below shows that the other apk have the option to be Launched within the Quest 2.3.3KViews0likes1CommentUnable to add additional account to quest pro
Not able to connect the quest pro to neither mobile app nor quest developer hub. All the required settings are enabled including developer mode and the device gets recognised on the Developer hub but doesn't connect . The Only issue that I see is two different accounts are logged into the quest pro and quest developer hub...but both are developer accounts. And previously in quest and quest2 there was an option to add additional accounts. I don't see that option in quest pro. Arbor xr (If that matters) is installed on this quest pro for device management but I can exit out of it and use the device as a regular one.918Views1like1Comment
