Option to Disable Ambient Background Sound
I can't believe how many threads concern Meta's refusal to provide customisation options, as though denying users the capacity to do so is part of Antichrist v2.0's mission statement for his company, but anyway, here's another. Can we please have the option of disabling that horrible ringing noise? It's not pleasant, it doesn't add anything to the experience, it's like New Age tinnitus. Now that we finally have the option to disable that ghastly mirror, how about the same option to disable the dreadful ringing noise?
Meta TV: can't watch HQ content, videos missing
I thought of replace my Quest 2 with Quest 3 but decided to take a look at the latest OS updates on my Quest 2 before. I've updated and the result is awful. One of my favorite media apps is now broken :( Now i can't watch HQ videos as my internet connection is not fast enough for HQ live streaming. Before updating i was able to cache HQ video and watch it any time i wish to. I was able to take it with me in to travels and watch offline in train or plane. I was able to show that videos to my family. Now this is complenely unavailable. How can i get back the "Cache HQ video" button? Furthermore after the update i can't find most of my favorite VR videos in library. I was able to remember some names and find a few of them with search but the rest are missing. I've tried to browse the catalog but there only a few videos in a few categories. No "browse all" category and "show all" for categories themselves. So the library is about empty while i was able to watch my favorite videos just a few hours ago before the update. How can i get back all thatVR videos available before "upgrade"? Is there a way to browse the whole old TV catalog on PC or other app? Will Quest 3 solve this issue?
About communities and "limits"
So after getting a chat restriction 2 days ago it's now lifted or has been I have left all of my old groups or communities if you call them that and when I tried to join new ones it wouldn't let me it said that I had reached a quote limit it shows in my meta Quest app in my community's tab that I have no communities joint at all but when I go back to my old communities meaning I look at the users that are in there for every single group that I left shows my username still in there.
Meta, Please Fix Meta Store
Do you know what this super long image is? This is the list when I sort by "Newest" in "Brawse All Games" on Meta Horizon App. This is sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad it brings tears to my eyes. I have to scroll and load over 20 times to reach the actual newest game (red circle one)!!! 🤪 This isn't because there are a ton of crappy gorilla games, but because it shows even unreleased games. Meta devs, ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Have you never considered usability? Someone might say, why not just look at "New Releases" section? Unfortunately, there are many new games that aren't displayed in "New Releases" section. Not only crappy gorilla games. Even properly made games don't show up!!! 👿 What a terrible store. Meta, display new games in New Release section!!! Even if game devs put in a lot of effort to create their game, if it's not listed in New Release section, it's less likely to be seen by people who don't know about the game. This means lower sales. If there is no profit, developers will leave. And lower sales means lower revenues for Meta. Who exactly is this store made for? Coming soon & Pre-order games have their own section. "Newest" in "Brawse All Games" should only show games that have been released. If there are far more games being released than there are now, are you going to make us scroll 100 times to check new games? 🤨 And when Meta fix broken search function? The store's bad usability and glitches have been pointed out countless times since old days. What on earth are Meta devs doing? It seems like they're reducing game sales and Meta's profits by broken store. Before selling hardware at a huge loss, why not try building a great store?
Vrchat crashing saying I have no memory when I have plenty.
My vrchat has been crashing a lot recently saying I have no memory for the game when I have over 200GB free of storage. I've restarted the headset fully, cleared all cache in the game and nothing has worked, I really don't wanna have to factory reset it just yet incase there is another way I can fix it. I play on quest 2. I've been away from home for 2 weeks and when I came back, I turned on gorilla tag, jumped out the stump, waited a few seconds like I usually do, and nothing happened. I didn't enter a lobby. I restarted my quest and uninstalled and reinstalled gorilla tag but still, nothing would work. Can someone help please?
Viewing Quest Achievements
We're coming up on a year and we still don't have an official way to view and sort the Quest Achievements that we put forth effort unlocking in our massive VR libraries. Developers continue to include them in games as they know it yields extended play sessions and even users revisiting their games to experience every ounce of the hard work they put into their projects. Currently we can only view them in a recently unlocked list in the Meta Horizon Mobile App, and external websites created by Quest users (which are the most useful way at the moment). People didn't even realize Achievements existed because it was hidden in the Scoreboards App, and users hoped for integration into the Profile itself, similar to Steam, Xbox, and PS. Instead, we were left with a misunderstanding of how important Achievements are to the Quest ecosystem. At the very least, could we please get a way to filter by game/in-progress/completed in the Horizon Mobile App? We would love to see them in-headset eventually, but even a small step forward would revitalize our play sessions. 🙏
