TRIED POWER PLUS DOWN VOLUME OPTION FOR SHUT DOWN AND BOOT. TRIED SIDELOAD UPDATE VIA SOFTWARE UPDATE TOOL V2.1. INSTALLED UPDATE GOT SLIGHTLY MORE OF THE START UP SOUND BUT STILL BOOT LOOP. TRIED UPDATE AGAIN BUT NOW FAILS. HAVE NOT FACTORY RESET YET FROM POWER VOLUME BOOT MENU. Everyone describes the same sequence: Meta logo, firmware arrow loading, then a permanent black screen. People have already tried every official fix that Meta recommends: Rebooting the headset. Performing a full hard reset using the power and volume buttons. Installing the manual firmware update through the Meta update tool on a computer. Even after completing all of these steps successfully, the headset remains unusable. The issue clearly points to a defective firmware update or a corrupted boot process caused by the update itself, not user error or damage. Some customers have received replacements, while others have been denied support because their device is out of warranty. That inconsistency is unacceptable. A firmware defect that originates from Meta should not depend on warranty status. This needs to be recognized as a widespread product issue. Hello Meta Support, I am experiencing a series of issues regarding account management on my Quest device: Cannot Add Profile: When trying to add a new account, it shows "You are unable to be added to this device at this time." App Sharing Error: I cannot enable App Sharing, receiving the error "Something went wrong." Invite Error: Failed to send invite links with the error "There was a problem sending the invite." Hi all, I have a Meta Quest 2 and I am logged in on my parent account. Credit card set up and I've made purchases before. I add my child in Family Center, and they show up in the Horizon app, so that's good. However, in the Horizon app, I go to my device "Manage Profiles" and there is no button to add, I can only see my 1 connected profile. If I go to the profiles in the headset itself, it asks for the new user's email address, but my child's account doesn't have an email address. If I try going to meta.com/device I see my account and my child's account, however in order to add them to the headset it asks for an 8-digit code. No code appears in the headset or anywhere else that I can see. I only have my 5-digit pairing code I found in the settings, but that doesn't help. I've tried restarting the headset, no change. I'm trying to contact support to fix my pairing code not working since I factory reseted my Quest 2 by accident. I've been trying to get the purchase screen in the shop to pop up but have yet to get it to work. I've been playing the game for about a week and have caught most of the fish at Bobber bay but can't access the store to buy anything. Anyone know of a way to get past this?
