Horizon link not working
My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link. I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly. I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'. There is no support article. I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work. Anyone else having or had similar issues recently? Horizon software 83.0.0.333.349 Headset V83.1034 build 5156385.14650.520 Grateful for any ideas.Solved20KViews101likes317CommentsHaving to click the USB Detected notification before Link detects connection
My quest recently updated to v2.3.1027 which added the new Navigator UI. Before, I could just plug in a USB cable from my PC and the headset would ask me if I want to start Link. If I chose not to, I could go to the Link option in settings and it showed my PC as available. After updating, now when I connect the USB cable, it doesn't ask me to start Link. When I go to the Link settings, its showing that a USB cable isn't connected. I found that when I first plug in the USB cable, I need to have the headset on and click on the USB Detected notification that pops up. Just clicking on it allows Link to see my PC as available. This popup disappears after a few seconds and the only way I've found to get it back is to disconnect/reconnect the USB cable. Does anyone know of a way to restore the functionality so I don't have to click this notification every time? I do PCVR development and I prefer using USB connection.63Views0likes5CommentsMeta Horizon app black screen
The app keeps showing a black screen. My Quest 3 headset, which I just bought, stays on the screen asking me to enter the pairing code to link it to my account, but since the Meta Horizon app is stuck on a black screen, I'm unable to complete the pairing process. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?Solved56Views0likes4CommentsMeta Link freezes after a few seconds
After installing latest Meta Horizon Windows app update (85.0.0.239.552), the display inside headset freezes (sometimes goes black, similar to when proximity sensor kicks in, but while still wearing VR headset) after a few seconds after establishing cabled link (official 5m cable). Have to restart PC and re-establish Link to get it to work again, but then same happens after a few seconds. Can still hear audio inside headset, and when using games it seems to do head tracking (monitor screen updates, but not inside headset). This also happens inside the Meta Link view (grey environment with grid floor and ceiling inside VR headset after establishing link). Firmware in VR headset is also on latest version, This happened after updating Meta Horizon Windows app on 3rd/4th March. Before this it was working perfect. Have tested this on 4 different PC's, with 3 different Meta Quest 3 headsets and one Quest Pro, with same result. Hardware on test PC's: Windows 11, different i9 processors (13th/14th gen, Intel Core Ultra 9), RTX 5090 laptop, RTX 5070 Ti Desktop, RTX 4090 desktop. 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Drivers 595.71 WHQL driver + latest Windows updates2.9KViews10likes36CommentsMeta Quest Remote Desktop won´t start on Windows 11 Pro
Dear Community, I have a problem running Meta Quest Remote Desktop on Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (Build 22631.4037). Installation with Meta Quest Remote Desktop Setup.msi (Version from 13.8.24) works fine and shows no errors. However, when Opening the App Meta Quest Remote Desktop nothing happens and in the task manager MQRDCrashpadHandler is shown for 1-2 seconds. How can I install the Meta Quest Remote Desktop App on my machine. Happy to collect further data to solve the problem. Thanks in advance, TobiasSolved25KViews0likes70CommentsQuest 3 has "Water and Debris" Errors every 10 Minutes.
Hello Meta Quest Team, Before you close this, I want to clarify that I am aware other users have reported this issue and that there is an existing troubleshooting post. I recently purchased a new Quest 3 and a new Quest 3S. I use both custom cables and chargers, as well as the original Meta cable and charger. On both brand new headsets, I repeatedly receive the water and debris warning every 10 to 20 minutes, which makes normal use impossible. This happens with custom cables and chargers that provide a valid 30 to 40 watts, which matches the power specifications stated by Meta. The same issue also occurs when using the original Meta cable and charger. Given that this affects two separate new headsets under the same conditions, it is very unlikely that this is simply bad luck or defective hardware. This strongly points to a software related issue. I have seen many other users report the same problem, and some of these reports mention partial removals or moderation of posts, which makes it feel like this issue is not being openly addressed. That is frustrating as a customer. Both of my headsets are fully updated to the latest software version. A friend of mine with a Quest 3 is experiencing the exact same problem as well. This suggests the issue is not isolated to a single unit or setup. Please investigate and address this at the software level. In the European Union, restricting or falsely flagging third party cables through software can be legally problematic. More importantly, this issue is affecting normal use even with original Meta accessories. I am asking for a clear acknowledgment of the problem and a proper software fix. Having multiple headsets show the same behavior with both original and compliant third party accessories should not be considered normal.261Views0likes4CommentsNew Quest 3s won’t connect to WiFi
I’ve just bought a Quest 3s and am trying to set it up with no luck at all. When I try to connect to my WiFi it tells me password is incorrect even though I am 100% certain it’s right. I’ve tried factory resetting the headset, restarting router, connecting to my iPhone mobile hotspot (that won’t connect either) but nothing seems to help. I’ve tried to pair the headset with the Horizon app and it asks me to enter a code displayed in the headset but nothing is showing. Incredibly frustrating, can anyone provide any assistance? Many thanks in advance, Geoff94Views0likes4CommentsMeta Quest app - stuck on the "Pair a new device" screen
I'm stuck on the "Pair your headset with the Meta Quest app to continue." step during the Meta Quest 3 setup. The smartphone app tells me to "Allow permissions", which I have already done. I have "Use precise location" enabled as well. Pressing the blue "Continue" button does nothing. The Meta Quest 3 button is greyed out. I have a code displayed in the headset that I'm supposed to input somewhere in this app. What do I do? My Meta Quest app is up to date. I have already installed all system updates on my smartphone. My smartphone and Meta Quest 3 are on the same WiFi network. See screenshots:Solved21KViews1like9CommentsMeta Link app not downloading after update
Do to the issues these past few days in the beginning turning on and off the internet worked for me, but as of yesterdays update I had more problems. I decided to click fix connection or repair I forget but then the whole app deleted itself because there was a failure during upload and now I'm in this infinite loop of the app never downloading because there is a problem. no matter how many times I restart my computer like it tells me too.182Views0likes2Comments
