Why is my editor unable to find module 'horizon/avatar_ai_agent'
Hello, I can't figure out why I have the error : [NPCSManager] (2, 121:146) Cannot find module 'horizon/avatar_ai_agent' or its corresponding type declarations. [NPCSManager] (25, 55:71) Property 'spawnAgentPlayer' does not exist on type 'Entity'. Do I have to enable some settings ?Solved109Views0likes2CommentsPanic attacks & The Wizard of Oz
I posted this topic into "what i'm building" forum but hasn't received any responses. I'm not surprised as this as the forum suggests making statements as opposed to asking questions of which mine does both ;} SO I'll drop it here and hopefully someone can help me navigate DE to get the NPC(s) to do my bidding! Hello everyone, first time poster so might be a bit of a long one. Jan 1st I began a self taught journey into Meta Horizons. I am Ex -British Military and Teacher wanting to create learning environments for my colleagues using VR technology, specifically in the field of Therapy. I have been building a small world and have made what I consider to be moderate gains given my lack of knowledge and skill but I am enjoying the process so that's the main thing I suppose. I have been relying quite heavily on AI using CoPilot, Grok, Chat and even the in built AI on the editor but I am finding increasingly that they aren't seeing what I am seeing quite often, so their suggestions (albeit said with huge confidence on their part!) are incorrect (unless its me just need understanding them and the editor as well as perhaps I think. One of my primary issues is that I am not in Desktop Editor but in fact Desktop studio. I have tried repeatedly to adhere to the AI instruction on correcting this but i just end up back in the same place which is with what I believe to be Desktop Editor and what they believe to be desktop studio. I think this disconnect is causing me to not be able to advance as quickly as I could. So my first question is: Can someone tell me if I am using the right software? I have downloaded and am using Worlds Desktop Editor (that's the title of the thumbnail with the "O" on the black background. AI is telling me I am in studio and not Editor and that's why their suggestions aren't marrying up with whatever software it is I am actually working with? Secondly, can I trust AI to continue to help me with this or do I need a different approach? Thirdly, I have an NPC created and I want to attach a text to speech audio file to give the NPC dialogue that can be interacted with i.e. on the click of the trigger the NPC starts speaking. Be great to hear peoples thoughts and I am more than happy to help out with the challenges I have encountered so far and overcome. Thanks in advance - Ant124Views1like5CommentsNPCs break triggers when simulating
If you stop simulation in Horizon Desktop Editor while NPC is in trigger, it will break trigger for that NPC. Once broken, any time simulation is started, the trigger will trigger for that NPC right away and then will not trigger again for that NPC. Currently resetting world fixes the issue and I would assume this does not affect published worlds (since it is related to stopping simulation). Image below just shows the setup I used to recreate bug, I was able to break each trigger by stopping simulation when NPC was in trigger. I attempted with real player and no issue occured.99Views0likes4Comments⚔️ Spell Sword
Finally finished this project with this original combat mechanic designed as a mobile only game! It's a fantasy adventure turn-based RPG where you spell words to attack the enemy. Clear each floor to earn XP, more health, and of course LOOT! The game starts out easy while you familiarize yourself with the mechanic. Then you start earning armor and weapons to take on higher floors. Use potions to recover HP, and scrolls to summon up to 2 extra letters at a time. This progression system was by design made to be addictive and challenging tracking 4,700+ data points and a custom word engine using JSON files for precise adjustments to difficulty for the 3 player archetypes: casual gamer, the dedicated gamer who put in their time, and those gamers who choose to pay-to-win. Custom leaderboards use World Persistent Variables which allowed me not to track just scores, but also what words earned them their ranking (after filtering out 500 words to stay appropriate to general audiences). Please try it out and vote for the project on Devpost53Views0likes1CommentAI NPCs missing
I’ve seen in my game that AI generated NPCs have reverted to the default ones. This seems to happen sporadically, wasn’t happening last night and is happening today. Just posting to say has anyone else had similar issues, do you have workarounds and to any meta staff, is there anything that might fix this ahead of judging for the MHCP mobile innovation competition?89Views0likes4Comments🎥 Make NPCs Come Alive w/ NavMesh Waypoints

I've contacted support and they said i should check out the community forums and post feedback which i already did and they closed my ticket saying these features are not available, even though i was told they are available for everyone in the US. I'm so confused and don't really know whether they are available in the US or not. I have all the rest of the GenAI features but not the NPC features.62Views0likes4CommentsNPC character builder- unable to access
Yesterday while building a world, I tried to test the NPC AI Character Generator in the desktop editor. I attempted several times to select that option, but it appeared grayed out/almost unavailable. I tried both the standalone desktop editor and the Link/Meta desktop editor, and had the same issue in both. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, how do I resolve it? I’m trying to add special NPC characters to the world I’m currently building and would really like to get this in for the holiday, so any information or timing guidance would be very helpfulSolved63Views0likes2Comments
