Can Oculus make Game Show VR games like. Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, Press Your Luck, and Deal or No Deal with a Community Leaderboard and Online Multiplayer options? I think it would drastically increase revenue for Oculus and also create more long lasting games to continuously play for people. I know for sure it would bring new people into buying and playing Oculus VR. Please and thanks in advance!!!2.1KViews2likes2CommentsGlasses problem!
The original problem of scratching the surface with glasses is temporarily solved with a set of silicon spacers. The awkward part is that there are two different attachments for each eye (the hard plastic and the silicon), and sometimes they are dislocating on their own. The NEW PROBLEM has appeared: the air circulation is compromised! My eyes are boiling inside! The glasses are fogging very quickly. How much more money do we need to invest to fix the Oculus VR product? Also, Oculus should have thought about this before. Expensive vision glasses are already ruined. I am not sure what else I can do to progress with this “glasses situation." I am not ready to keep investing in this Oculus product.603Views0likes0CommentsGetting hand position after pinch

I am working on a hospital room, which has all required equipments. There are a lot of jagged edges that are easily viewable. When i tried workroom in oculus, the texture quality and the model quality of the room is excellent. I would like to know that if ther is any specific settings w.r.t model or texture or material or project is needed to achieve this type of quality.701Views1like0CommentsHow Fast does the AR Scene View Update
https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unreal/unreal-scene-overview/ I'm reading these docs. I imagine the normal usecase is to scan a static unmoving room to build a scene model to find and interact with unmoving scene entities. If my table is a plane, my user places it then moves the table, how long does it take for the quest to correct the underlying scene model. Imagine this usecase as an example. I balance a small city on a platter in my hands infront of me. I tip the platter to interact with the city, will the underlying scene model update fast enough to make this concept playable?750Views0likes0CommentsOculus + Air Link causes computer crashes when the headset disconnects from WiFi.
As usual, it's hard to pinpoint exactly where the issue originates due to all the handoffs between apps. My Quest 2 is connected via Air Link through the Oculus App, to SteamVR, which is then running VR in Unreal's editor. If the connection is active and the headset is awake, I can successfully run in editor as many times as I want. If the connection is not active (only SteamVR is open, Oculus is closed and not set up), Unreal will successfully fall back to a spectator pawn. If the connection is active but the headset has disconnected, my computer will freak out and eventually crash whenever I interact with VR. So far, those crash events occur when I open Unreal (which presumably makes contact with the VR setup) and when I hit that Play in VR button in the editor (as when the headset's fallen asleep between uses). As soon as one of these actions is initiated, I hear cable whine from my PC--the only time I've found that it does this--and I have a very short time to catch it before the mouse freezes, the screen stops, and the computer needs to be restarted. If I'm able to get my headset on, dismiss the lost connection dialogue, and reconnect to my PC over Air Link, it has a decent chance at recovering. I think I've had this happen with Unreal closed, though the above is my primary observations so far. SteamVR has been opening and closing for ages and never caused this on my computer. I previously used VirtualDesktop for this and also never had issues there, though this was largely before my current PC was built so that's not a clear indicator. The computer itself is very new and, on paper, shouldn't be a problem. GPU - 3080 Ti CPU - 5950x RAM - 64gb2.2KViews1like1CommentTrouble with developer mode
