Quest 3: How to keep audio playing on PC speakers when headset is off? (ignore proximity sensor)
Hello, I'm developping for a special hardware and we're trying to switch from HP G2 PCVR to Quest 3 since the availability of the former is waning. We've been working hard to make it work at least as well as it did with the HP, both visually and performance wise. Now we're close to having it all together, except for the sound. With the HP Headset we had audio in both the HMD and PC speakers. With the Quest 3, we have that as well, but only when the proximity sensor is triggered (aka. Headset is on). - Headset On -> audio on both HMD and PC - Headset Off -> only audio on HMD. Is it the expected behavior ? Cause I feel what you'd want, is to have the audio from the HMD turned off when you remove it, not the opposite ? Wether it is expected or not, is there any way, in unity or in the meta software to disable that and keep the audio of the PC playing ? Thanks for your helpSolved3KViews0likes1CommentUnity PC VR - Keep PC Audio active when headset is asleep
Hi, I am developing an interactive installation in Unity 2020.3.25f1 for a Quest 2 in PC VR mode. My project has two cameras, one for the headset and one that is used by a video projector. I've enabled PC audio in the oculus app so that there will be audio on the second display, but there are times when the headset will be inactive and currently this deactivates the PC audio. I've tried switching my audio listener to the non-vr camera but that doesn't have an effect. I'd like the audio to continue on the projected display when the headset is inactive. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, W968Views0likes0CommentsAPK to know users' choice of audio output (Speaker or Rift Headphones)?
Hi there, Using this: https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/pcsdk/latest/concepts/pcsdk-intro/ Is there any APK available to know which audio output the user chooses in Windows Setting and in Oculus PC version? Specifically, in Windows Sound Setting, we could choose to use "Speaker" or "Rift Headphones" and in Oculus PC version we could choose to use "Rift Headphones" and "Use Windows Setting". We want to adjust the audio output in our app according to users' choices. Any help would be highly appreciated.330Views0likes0Comments
