I have an Asus ROG G14 laptop (2024) Specifications: Ryzen 7 8845HS RTX 4060 8GB 16 GB RAM Last year, I was using a Pico 4 headset and didn’t notice any problems. Then, after a year, I bought a new Quest 3 for PC gaming (I sold the Pico last year). I downloaded Quest Link to connect to the PC via cable, connected it, and launched SteamVR. It worked fine, but when I started games, periodic lag and stuttering appeared immediately. When launching HL:Alyx, a message about insufficient video memory showed up in the menu. I spent almost a whole day researching this issue but couldn’t find a good solution. The problem is that when I connect the headset to the PC, Quest Link immediately consumes 2-3 GB of video memory. Then I launch SteamVR, and the video memory usage goes up to around 6 GB. When I start HL:Alyx through SteamVR, there is practically no video memory left. I tried different settings in the Debug Tool and also changed the headset’s resolution and refresh rate. The result is the same — not enough video memory, causing lag and an uncomfortable gameplay experience. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?70Views0likes2CommentsOption to Disable the "Liquid or Debris Detected" Error
This notification ruins the gaming experience for many people. It turns the screen off and shows the "Liquid or debris detected, charging port disabled" notification. I'm in a simracing game and have to switch to the controller and close that popup to continue the game, which I already crashed thanks to the stupid notification. I don't care if the charging is disabled or not, please don't turn my screen off in the middle of a game.24Views0likes1CommentQuest 3: Air Link and Charging
Hey supporters, after upgrading to a new fast wifi-router I've tried to connect to my PC by air link. Everything went fine and the wireless connection is fast and stable. But while using air link it is not possible to use an external battery since the USB-port is disabled. While using the Quest standalone the external battery works fine, so I cannot understand why it is not allowed to use it for charing when air link is activated. For me, it semms to be a bug and neither a feature. I didn't find any option to disable the deactivation of the USB-port. If there is such an option, maybe one can tell me where it can be found. Otherwise, I would like to understand why the USB-port is deactivated when using air link. Using the external battery often doubles the time you can use the Quest until charging is necessary. Hello, I used to be able to play on my VR with a link cable perfectly fine, but I recently got a new computer, and it doesn't work. I checked the requirements and my PC meets them without question, but whenever I try to connect the headset, my computer gives me messages like "Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article." I checked that article, but nothing seemed to help. The Quest program on my computer shows that my headset is connected and ready to launch, and so does my headset, but when I launch it through the link cable, it just doesn't load, and it stays on a black screen. I've also tried connecting my headset through a USB hub instead of the actual computer to connect it through USB 3, but it still doesn't work. Is there any way I can troubleshoot it? Thank you!Solved28KViews3likes51CommentsMeta Quest Link / Air Link Stuck on 3 Dots (No Video): Advanced Fixes Needed
We are still dealing with one of the most persistent and frustrating bugs in the Quest Link ecosystem. I am making this post because the endless "three-dot loading screen" issue is still happening to users for days, weeks, or even months, and there has been no effective, consistent fix provided by Meta. The problem: My Meta Quest headset successfully connects to the PC app, which reports "Connected," but the headset itself gets stuck on the black screen with the three pulsing white dots indefinitely. I can often hear the PC audio, but I receive absolutely no video feed. This bug makes PC VR unusable. I have tried almost every known solution to fix this, including all standard and many advanced troubleshooting steps.49Views0likes1CommentOculus rift cv1 connected but no display

Hello to all who see this, I am a bit of a pickle and do not know how to go about remedying this problem. I'm using an Oculus Rift S and here lately whenever I get on any VR game, I can only play it for a period of time before the link app itself crashes. I have had the headset itself since 2020. I would be playing then suddenly the screen freezes and goes black, then immediately after that I would peak at my PC screen and see that the app itself has crashed and restarted. Does anyone know what is going on with it? I really do not want to have to drop the money for a new headset.97Views0likes6Comments
