V81 Bug? Menu won't appear when turning on Quest 3
Recently got access to the PTC for V81, and all seemed fine. But I turned on my Quest 3 and the menu won't appear at all, even after holding down the right controller button and even testing it with hand tracking... HOWEVER... This issue seems to be hit and miss. When I was ready to give up and do a factory reset, turned my headset on and randomly the menu appeared again. It sometimes disappears if I leave my headset on standby for a while, and sometimes disappears if I turn it off and on, and sometimes just randomly appears. Is this a common bug or does anyone have any potential fixes? I have tried launching games from the app and it did work one time, despite it showing the launch and install on headset, even when the app is already installed. I understand it's a beta and could be a bug but wondering if it's just me. Also, when the menu doesn't appear, if I were to hold the power button, it just shuts down, it doesn't give me the option to reset or anything. Hi There. On v83 PTC and the ability to filter apps based on certain criteria (uninstalled, installed, updates pending, PCVR, etc) has disappeared. Also the ability to sort apps A-Z, Z-A, or by recent is also gone. I hope this will be reinstated, as there is no easy and effective way to find apps you've already purchased. the Store purchase history functionality is cumbersome at best.
PTC v83 Settings has Stopped
Just updated to PTC v83 and have a persistent problem. Quest 3 starts up in passthrough, then after a few seconds I get a dialog box announcing "Settings has stopped". The only option is Close app. Double tapping on the headset cancels passthrough and reveals my homespace. The new menu system is there, I can see all my apps and the haptic feedback triggers when I try to start one, but nothing starts. None of the other menu icons work, apart from home, which goes to passthrough. I tried a restart from the boot menu, but it hasn't altered anything. Multiple normal restarts led to one occasion where I could start apps, but now back to the useless condition.
V81 quest 2 ram issue.
when im playing. my game just crashes and i get this notification. "Not enough memory to run *game / app name*". It started when i updated to PTC v81. Even on v81 stable it still happens.. Ive tried killing useless services and app that run in the backround. Restarted my quest 2 many times. Factory reseted it over 10 times this month. Nothing helped, so it has to be an issue with V81 and V81 PTC. And also when i boot and am doing nothing. Even useless services and apps in the backround killed. So maybe is the Mixed reallity app version for Windows, or my gpu or something 👀 Can someone help me troubleshoot this, please? 🙏🏻
PTC V81 - No access to edit worlds
The worlds app no longer goes to the world selector island, it goes straight to the new horizon central. The new menu in central doesn't have a tab or option to select my own worlds for editing. As of now I have to jump to a different world and use the old menu to go to it.
Can't find Meta Quest Browser App in v81 Navigator
Hi, Today is my first experience of the new v81 Navigator and it like what I see except for one thing. The Meta Quest Browser is not shown anywhere in my Navigator even when showing all (apps, worlds, etc). The only way I can get to the browser is to go to the Store app where it shows that the Browser is installed. From there I can start the browser, but since I can't locate the bowser anywhere in my navigator, I can't pin it (which I definitely would like to do). If I could uninstall the Browser and re-install it, id try that but that doesn't seem to be an option. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, has anyone found a solution which will make the browser show up in the Navigator? ThanksHorizon Central stuck on installing
Hello there! I absolutely adore the newest PTC update, v81. However, there is a bug proventing me from accessing Horizon Central. And that bug is that IT WON'T INSTALL! I do get that this is a beta build, and there are bound to be bugs in almost every beta build. I would love if this got resolved though!
