quest 3 doesnt show up on devices list
Hey everyone, I just bought a Quest 3 from Best Buy a few days ago and set it up through the Meta Quest phone app. Everything works fine on the headset itself, but I’m running into two issues: The Batman game promo that was supposed to come with the headset never appeared in my library or “Purchased” section. When I log into my Meta account on my computer, it says I don’t have any devices added. If I try to add my Quest 3 manually with the serial number, it tells me there’s no device with that serial number. I’m 100% sure the serial number is correct (I even double-checked O’s vs 0’s). The headset is definitely authentic since I bought it sealed from Best Buy, and it works fine for playing games. The problem is when I try to contact Quest support, it blocks me because my account supposedly has “no devices.” Even though I am logged in on my phone app, support still won’t let me proceed. Has anyone run into this before? How do I get my Quest 3 properly tied to my Meta account so I can claim the Batman promo and actually contact support? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.436Views2likes19CommentsUnable to add payment method
Just bought a quest 3. My debit card is paired to my meta account. However, i am still unable to add my card as a Payment method on the meta horizon app, and get an error each time. I've tried multiple cards, nothing. No update needs to be performed. I have tried using a computer, phone and the actual headset. Even switching to cellular data. I have bought multiple things online lately, and the bank allows international purchases so I don't think it's on the cards end. I have restarted the device multiple times, tried on different days and nothing seems to work. There are a few cases online with the same problems, but they seem to have been fixed using instagram or facebook, which I tried, and they accepted my card, but it still will not add my card into the 'payment method' slot. Or they only use gift cards, which seems like a serious downgrade. Please help before I go and refund this VR before I ever got to play it.87Views0likes2CommentsCan't login to Meta Quest/Oculus Mobile App
Recently tried to link a new controller to my Quest 2. Oculus on phone (which has been updated to 'Meta Quest' refuses to login. I can loginto the Meta Quest site on the laptop - just not the app. I've reinstalled the app and changed passwords but nothing makes any difference. If there's a way to pair a new controller w/out using the app that'd be fine or being able to login to the app would also work.Solved49KViews20likes47CommentsHelp
Hello, I need help removing a Quest 2 device that is still listed on my Meta account. I performed a factory reset on my headset without removing it from the Meta Quest app first. Now, when I try to pair the Quest 2 again, it shows the same pairing code as before, and the app gives me an error because the old device is still associated. Please remove the old/ghost device from my account so I can pair my Quest 2 again. Thank you!172Views1like14CommentsPc not detecting pair with Meta Quest 3
I’ve been trying to pair my Meta Quest 3 with my gaming laptop using Air Link. On my Quest 3, I can select my PC and press “Pair,” but nothing happens—no prompt appears on my PC, and the headset does not connect. Using a Link Cable works perfectly fine, but I don’t have a high-quality cable, so I would like to use Air Link instead, as it would be much more convenient. I’ve also noticed that other people on the forums are experiencing the same problem, and the ones I’ve seen all seem to be using laptops or gaming laptops. I’m not sure if this is related, but it could be worth noting Things ive tried Both PC and Quest are on the same 5 GHz network. Firewall and antivirus disabled. Oculus PC app run as administrator. Oculus services restarted. Reinstalled Oculus PC app completely. Verified router allows LAN communication Confirmed Air Link is enabled in headset and PC. I own two Meta Quest 3 devices with Meta Warranty Plus coverage. I am experiencing the endless boot loop with one of the devices as described in the following threads: https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/QUEST-3-STUCK-ON-LOGO-AND-DOESN-T-START-UP/td-p/1111493 https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/My-Quest-3-is-stuck-in-bootloop-with-Turining-META-logo/td-p/1113431 https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/My-quest-3-won-t-launch-and-will-only-display-the-meta-logo/td-p/1138261 To summarize: After power up, device displays "disk" logo with down arrow and green progress bar After progress bar completes, meta logo appears, spins, fades, and repeats endlessly (have left device plugged in overnight with no progress) Video of the above taken by my phone of my headset is posted here: https://youtube.com/shorts/qpD6hcmvSXw?feature=share In answer to commonly requested questions from similar threads: The issue began on 2024/02/12 at approx 8 PM EST. The headset had been successfully paired with the Meta Quest app on my phone and had been in use since mid-January 2024. The headset had previously updated apps. I'm unaware if the OS and / or firmware had performed any updates. No error messages have been displayed, only the behavior as described and linked in video above. All accessories have been removed from the headset. Headset was fully charged when the issue began, has been allowed to fully discharge, and has fully charged again (LED is green). Issue persists. Two factory resets have been performed via power button and - volume key combination. Issue persists immediately after the reset with no successful boot. Headset was purchased directly from Meta in January, has had no other owners and has been used with care and stored in appropriate conditions free of sunlight, excessive heat, etc. I own the original device box with barcodes and serial numbers. Please advise of steps to have this issue rectified.Solved26KViews3likes73CommentsQuest 3s with the Pro controllers?
I saw the meta forums post about 8 ish months ago, and was wondering if they were made compatible yet, or if there is a way to do it yourself. ive seen the updates happen for the quest 2, which is a headset that is older than the quest pro; but for some reason was not made available for the quest 3s anytime around launch while the 3 got the update fairly quickly; if not made standard for the quest 3... anyone have ANY updates on anything about it? i cant find a thing.52Views0likes3CommentsCan I connect my Quest 3 controllers to my Quest 2?
I have Quest Pro Controllers that I have been using on my Quest 2 (Great!!) I purchased a Quest 3 and will be moving the Quest Pro Controllers to it. I would like/prefer to pair my Quest 3 Controllers to my Quest 2 Headset. Currently this is not an option to select in the App. Are there any plans to allow Quest 3 Controllers to work on a Quest 2 (similar to how the Pro Controllers work on Q2)? What would be the reason to not allow/support it? Thank You! MrTasselhof YouTube (MrTasselhof) Twitch (MrTasselhof)54KViews10likes19Comments
