That's how long PCVR has been unusable, for 8 months, or since the release of v76 of the link app, a large selling point of owning a meta headset has been rendered pointless, we're 5 (7 if you count PTC) major updates in, throughout the better half of a year and still we cant use their app dedicated to PCVR for PCVR The most recent update we've gotten from meta read basically as "don't worry, we have a link app update for all of you, yes that's right, we've renamed it, that's all, no we haven't fixed it" And the cherry on top? the app consistently soft locks PC's (you cant press anything with your IRL mouse or even a digital VR screen one) until you fully reboot This has to be a joke at this point, there is no at-home fixes we can do meta, trust us, we've tried them all, and a majority of us want to use wireless FIX THE LINK APP103Views1like7CommentsMultimodal doesn't work on Quest2
Context: We are developing applications using the multimodal system to separate controller tracking from hand tracking. This development is being carried out in Unity 2022.3, and we are using the Meta XR Core SDK plug-in for this purpose. Problem: Since the V81 update, we have noticed that this system no longer works on Quest2. After several tests, we have noticed that it is not possible to have both hand and controller tracking at the same time. This applies regardless of the SDK version. We have not found any evidence of any changes in the Meta Releases or on the forums. We are seeking solutions or other options. Thank you in advance for your responses!15Views0likes0CommentsV81 problems
Is it just me or when I updated my quest 2 to v81, the boot up process is much slower, and the shutdown process is slower too. I haven’t used it in 9 months so I was in v68 (I think) and for v68, both the boot up process and the shutdown process was not a problem at all. Can anyone let me know if this is a known problem.107Views0likes2Comments
