Leaderboards not resolving player identities
hello In my Horizon Worlds worlds, leaderboards no longer display any users. Message displayed: “We can’t find you”. This happens in published versions, after duplicating the worlds, and with multiple accounts. Leaderboards in other worlds work fine. This appears to be related to my creator account/namespace. My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link. I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly. I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'. There is no support article. I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work. Anyone else having or had similar issues recently? My quest 3 controllers work just fine when im entering in my passcode, but after it logs me in i then can no longer press anything wiht my controllers, they are still connected and track normally and i can see the trigger move on the in vr version of my controller so i know its not a problem with the physical trigger, but i no longer have the cursor the would appear on the menu when you point your controller at your menu, i also can no longer see the line that would appear in front of your controller for our cursor. I have tried all the following methods to attempt to fix it with no result: Factory resetting Unpairing and repairing controllers Replacing batteries Restarting headset Clearing boundary history Entering immersive mode and re entering passthrough Switching accounts Pressing with the end of the controller26Views2likes2CommentsQuest Link / Air Link suddenly stopped working today – session never starts
Device: Meta Quest 3 OS: Windows 11 GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080 Connection: Air Link and USB Link (same behavior) Quest Link (both Air Link and USB Link) was working normally for months and was working earlier today. After ending a session and starting another one, Link stopped working completely. The headset is detected, the session initializes, but it freezes on the grey/purple Link screen and never reaches VR Home. Eventually the session drops or returns to the headset home. This is not a USB issue, not a network issue, and not a headset pairing issue. Important facts Same hardware and setup working for ~4 months Worked earlier today No hardware change No Windows reinstall No BIOS change No GPU change What I already tried Reinstalled Meta Quest Link multiple times Factory reset the Quest 3 Removed all Oculus / Meta registry entries Clean GPU driver reinstall with DDU Downgraded NVIDIA driver Tested both Air Link and USB Link Repair installation Restarted all Meta/Oculus services Reconfigured the headset from scratch None of the above resolved the issue. Observed behavior PC app detects the headset Session enters VR mode Streaming loop starts Grey / purple Link screen appears No image is ever presented Session freezes or terminates This indicates the session is created, but the compositor never presents a valid frame. Relevant log behavior From Service.log and LinkClient.log (same timestamps): VR session initializes Streaming starts Frames may briefly decode Compositor or transport fails shortly after Errors such as: Failed to read display driver information Graphics adapter state UNKNOWN Elevated Shared Memory failed to initialize Error -1002 Registry/config access failures after reinstall This points to a runtime or compositor state failure, not user configuration. Key point This did not degrade gradually. It stopped working suddenly today after previously working normally. That strongly suggests a silent Meta runtime update or a runtime state corruption that reinstall does not fully reset. Request to Meta Please confirm whether there was a Quest Link / runtime update today Clarify how to perform a true clean runtime reset (not just reinstall) Confirm if there is a known issue with Link compositor initialization Provide a way to roll back the Quest Link runtime At the moment, Quest Link is completely unusable despite supported hardware and exhaustive troubleshooting. Hi, I found a temporary workaround for Horizon Link not connecting. If you urgently need it for development like I do, try the steps below while we wait for Meta to fix the issue. Workaround (worked for me — both USB-C Link and Air Link were failing): Disconnect your PC from the internet (disable Wi-Fi / unplug Ethernet). Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Meta Horizon\Support\oculus-client\ Launch client.exe manually (do NOT use the desktop shortcut / Fixer.exe). After starting it this way, Horizon Link connects successfully. (Optional) Reconnect the internet after the connection is established. I recently purchased a Quest 3 and noticed a faint pattern on the screen during. This ended up being what's called "Mura", which is a manufacturing defect in the panels themselves. This should usually be pretty minimal in most units, but I even noticed it during normal passthrough mode and navigating Horizon OS. Assuming that my unit had poorly binned panels, I decided to open an RMA and ship it off in hopes of receiving one with less mura. The RMA was opened on December 22. I dropped it off at a Fedex site that same day. It arrived at the Reconext facility on the 26th. Despite the arrival confirmed by Fedex, it would stay on "Awaiting Arrival" ever since. After hearing anectdotes from other customers, I was under the impression that the replacement would be shipped within 3 days. I understand that the holidays probably affected this, so I sent an email on the 29th to ask if this was expected. I received a response further elaborating that the turnaround period was between 3-5 days after arrival. I still don't know if that facility operated during the winter break, so I (and apparently the agent) were under the impression that this was in fact expected. I waited until Janurary 5th before I sent another email inquiring on the status of the return. I received an email the same day informing me that they were "actively investigating" the situation. I was getting a bit desperate at this point, so I sent another email on the 8th asking if there were any further updates. They responded in pretty much the same way they did prior. So It's currently been 2 weeks since it arrived, and 18 days since I opened the RMA. I don't want to seem impatient, but I had originally purchased this as an early christmas gift and barely had the chance to use it. I would be very grateful for any concrete information regarding the RMA, or atleast any confirmation that this is normal and expected. I do hope that it would all be worth the trouble, as the mura issues seem to be neglected by the community. I talked to a friend in the industry and it definitely is a thing with LCD panels as well - with varying degrees of it due to binning. My Quest 3 Mic works completely fine in headset native games, I cannot get it to work via Meta Link. I have tried reinstalling and repairing the Meta Link app, go through windows registries and reset tons of audio components and nothing has seemed to work. The Oculus Virtual Audio Device is listed in my devices and is not disabled, and its stuck at 50% audio level. I have also used a Rift S under the same Oculus Virtual Audio Device input when connected to the PC in the past. Do you know what this super long image is? This is the list when I sort by "Newest" in "Brawse All Games" on Meta Horizon App. This is sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad it brings tears to my eyes. I have to scroll and load over 20 times to reach the actual newest game (red circle one)!!! 🤪 This isn't because there are a ton of crappy gorilla games, but because it shows even unreleased games. Meta devs, ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Have you never considered usability? Someone might say, why not just look at "New Releases" section? Unfortunately, there are many new games that aren't displayed in "New Releases" section. Not only crappy gorilla games. Even properly made games don't show up!!! 👿 What a terrible store. Meta, display new games in New Release section!!! Even if game devs put in a lot of effort to create their game, if it's not listed in New Release section, it's less likely to be seen by people who don't know about the game. This means lower sales. If there is no profit, developers will leave. And lower sales means lower revenues for Meta. Who exactly is this store made for? Coming soon & Pre-order games have their own section. "Newest" in "Brawse All Games" should only show games that have been released. If there are far more games being released than there are now, are you going to make us scroll 100 times to check new games? 🤨 And when Meta fix broken search function? The store's bad usability and glitches have been pointed out countless times since old days. What on earth are Meta devs doing? On meta quest Vr I call people on the Vr on WhatsApp they can hear me but they can’t hear the game. The game name is blade and sorcery. On youtube they can hear it and aim xr.
