Meta Link Stuttering & Yellow Border on Showing Desktop (Windows 10)
Initially it was in beta testing, but today they rolled out an update to the main, and now my stutters seem like I have the half of framerate of 120 hz with spikes, and when I turn on the screen display a yellow frame appears on my moninor like it was in OBS without DXGI method screen capture. I believe this is the main reason why the stutterers appeared. Meta updated the screen capture method and possibly the capture sending to the Quest headset, and now the frame rate is unstable at all. I tried to find a way to disable the new capture method but I couldn't find anything like that in the registry. If you have the same stuff for now please share this My Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X RAM: 64GB GPU: RTX 3060 SSD and so on78Views0likes7CommentsNew Quest 3 locked on software update, impossible to fix.
Hi guys, I bought my first Quest 3 today. When I turned it on, it started a software update but it gets stuck there — the device keeps turning on and off without completing the update, and I can’t get past that screen. I haven’t even set up my Meta Horizon account yet, and since I didn’t purchase my Quest 3 through the official Meta store, when I try to enter my device’s serial number on the website it gives me an error. I tried doing the sideload update (the only fix I found on the internet) by holding the volume down and power buttons on the Quest 3. But when I select my device in the browser, I get a message saying: “your device is not supported, please try reconnecting your devices.” Weird cause both my PC and Chrome are detecting it as Quest 3. I also tried disabling adblock, deleting caché and cookies, incognito mode, other browsers, other PCs, other cables, connecting it on different times, etc. There is not a single thing I haven't tried. (Every single one of these attempts were done while having 50% battery. There’s nothing else I can do, literally — I’ve already tried factory reset several times as well. Do I need to return my device? I'm submitting this post so support can help me. I'm quite desperate, I don't see my issue anywhere on google and I spoke to support via Whatsapp and everything they told me to try, I already had.810Views1like10Commentstoday marks 243 days (8 months)
That's how long PCVR has been unusable, for 8 months, or since the release of v76 of the link app, a large selling point of owning a meta headset has been rendered pointless, we're 5 (7 if you count PTC) major updates in, throughout the better half of a year and still we cant use their app dedicated to PCVR for PCVR The most recent update we've gotten from meta read basically as "don't worry, we have a link app update for all of you, yes that's right, we've renamed it, that's all, no we haven't fixed it" And the cherry on top? the app consistently soft locks PC's (you cant press anything with your IRL mouse or even a digital VR screen one) until you fully reboot This has to be a joke at this point, there is no at-home fixes we can do meta, trust us, we've tried them all, and a majority of us want to use wireless FIX THE LINK APP69Views0likes7CommentsWhere are the 3D movies!
Seriously—there’s now a dedicated “TV” app with a movie section, including a couple of 3D trailers for Avatar, yet there’s no section for 3D movies at all. What kind of dropped ball is this? I should be able to open that app, select 3D movies as a main option, and watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 3D on my Quest 3. VR is perfect for 3D movies—so how is this still not nailed in the Meta/Quest/Horizon/TV experience? At this point, it’s just a sick joke.120Views0likes8CommentsMeta quest link in systray
hello; Is there a way to have the Meta Quest Link application run in the Windows system tray automatically ? I recently purchased the PRISMXR PUPPIS S1, and it’s absolutely amazing,it connects to the Quest automatically and provides an internet connection, which is a huge advantage for VR. I don’t want to manually launch Meta Quest Link every time to mirror my PC screen; I want the application to always run at Windows startup.5Views0likes0CommentsMeta quest link app doesn't launch

Hi folks. This may sound like a weird one, it does to me. But I am a fairly experienced IT professional (retired) and I cannot figure this one out. I have a pretty standard router in my house (TP-Link AX1800). There are lots of different things on my property that use the WiFi and all of them work perfectly fine all the time, unless my ISP goes down. Now, enter the Quest 3. I used to use the Quest 3 connected to a different WiFi on an access point router. Then life got busy and I did nothing with the Quest 3 for weeks. However, it was plugged in. I do not know exactly when the problem started. Here's the problem: I can have many different devices on my home network just humming along. Then, as soon as the Quest 3 connects to the WiFi, all devices in the network lose their internet access. If I turn off the Quest 3 WiFi, the network will return but it will take a while, I am guessing because it is probably reconnecting with my ISP, or something like that. Does anyone know anything that could help me know what's going on? I know how to get into my router and I have checked all the available settings. As stated, everything else works perfectly. I opened a support ticket with Meta but I don't know how long that will take or whether they will even address it with me. I should add that the headset has no problem connecting to my iPhone WiFi hotspot. So, I know it's either something in the TP-Link router configuration, or something at the ISP. I have not contacted the ISP yet. I even had a brand new TP-Link BE9700 WiFi 7 router so I set it up and same result. That makes me think it's the headset. I changed mac addressing to Use Device Mac on the headset. And yes, I did a factory reset of the headset, and when everything was re-initialized, the problem still exists. I am lost. Any help, suggestions, I am all ears. I can't think of anything else to check.83Views1like7CommentsRequest: Add Arabic Language & Keyboard Support for Meta Quest.
Hello Meta Team, I’m writing to highlight the urgent need for Arabic language support (including an Arabic keyboard) on Meta Quest devices. The Arabic-speaking market is one of the largest in the world, with over 420 million native speakers across 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. This region has one of the highest internet and mobile adoption rates, and VR adoption is growing rapidly. According to market research, the MENA gaming market is projected to exceed 6 billion USD by 2027, with VR playing a major role. Many potential users in this region are excited to explore Meta Quest, but the lack of Arabic support creates a barrier to entry and reduces the overall experience. Adding Arabic language support will: Improve accessibility for millions of users. Strengthen Meta’s presence in a fast-growing market. Boost sales and brand loyalty in the region. We sincerely hope you prioritize Arabic language support in upcoming updates, as it would be a game-changer for millions of potential customers. If you also want Arabic support, please upvote this post so Meta can see the demand.103Views3likes1Comment
