Quest 3 April 22 Update(V2.3) Bug: Window Controls Menu Freezes in Passthrough Mode
After the April 22 update on my Meta Quest 3, the Window Controls Menu freezes in Passthrough mode. When I open the menu from a window, it appears as a ghost overlay and cannot be selected or dismissed. Controllers and hand tracking do not interact with it. If I open the menu from another window, the frozen overlay moves to the new position but remains unusable. This means whenever I want to use window control features such as curved screen mode, Focus Mode, brightness adjustment, or other window options, I cannot do so because the menu immediately freezes and remains stuck on the screen once opened. meta horizon link is saying my graphics card is incompatible when it should be compatible. i am using an AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT which came out after the minimum requirement for graphics card, which means it should be compatible. i suspect it may be because its too new but its displayed before that it is able to recognize it and expresses that it may be not powerful enough for a enjoyable vr experience, however whenever i try to connect it says it cant because the graphics card is incompatible. specs: meta quest 3s (vr headset), amd radeon RX 6500 xt (graphics card), 16 gb of ram (not graphics card), and using air link with a pc that uses ethernet.Solved77Views0likes9CommentsLooking for MSDS for Oculus Meta Quest 3

Hello everyone, I was messing around in the accessibility settings and decided to try out Voice Controls. I got a download prompt, clicked through it, and admittedly spammed the toggle a bit to get it to turn on. It finally turned on, but now I'm stuck with a really annoying bug: There is a permanent purple circle with a white microphone icon floating in the top right of my FOV (looks a bit like the red recording indicator). The voice commands don't actually work at all (I'm in Germany, so dictation/AI features have never worked for me anyway). The worst part: I can't turn it off. The Voice Control toggle/slider in the settings is completely unresponsive and stuck in the ON position. I've already tried rebooting the headset, but the floating icon is still there and the toggle remains stuck. Does anyone know a fix or a way to force-disable this accessibility feature? my son had a quest 2. he gave it to a friend when he got a quest 3, but he didn't reset the headset. He was having issues logging in to his normal user so he created a second account. lets call them user 1 and user 2 I deleted the meta app off my phone and now he cant access the store or play online (i think?) I have reinstalled the app and logged on, reconnected the device to my app. the next troubleshooting step was forgetting the Wi-Fi and reconnecting but the headset said I don't have permission to do that. i think his 'user 1' is the admin, but he's never used it on the quest 3 and cant access it. when i try to access user 1 it says 'something went wrong' so i click 'generate device code'. the page appears to refresh but nothing else happens. is there a way to reestablish connection to the internet and store?146Views0likes14CommentsTurnip video driver support missing from quest 3 and 3s, apps perform worse than quest 2.
this is in relation to the mesa turnip video driver support that is missing in horizon OS against the xr2 gen 2 when used in quest 3 and quest 3s headsets. there is no blockage of the video driver from Mesa against the quest devices, turnip video drivers are working in other VR headsets with the same xr2 gen 2, and even the old oculus and meta quest 2 vr headsets can use turnip video drivers, resulting in a quest 2 running applications and emulators better than quest 3, which is frankly embarrassing. this regression has been present throughout quest 3 life cycle, with no reason given and no hope of working around this, forcing only the use of supplied Qualcomm drivers (which quest 3 is fully up-to-date with) that has compatibility issues and huge performance loss by comparison. this forces some very exciting projects leaving quest 3 behind on performance to all it's competitors when using android apps that take advantage of these better video drivers. Over the years I have seen more things removed than added from what is now called horizon OS, I hope this is something that can be reinstated, especially before launch of competitors like steam frame, of which quest 3 can already mimick the pc gaming on headset, but without turnip video driver support, it is left in the dust for compatibility and performance.90Views1like6CommentsUnable to connect the controllers to my Meta Quest 3
I am unable to connect the controllers to my Meta Quest 3. I performed a factory reset on the headset, but the issue persists. I also attempted additional troubleshooting steps, including resetting the Quest 3 controllers using the correct button combinations: Right controller: Hold the A button and press the Home (Meta logo) button five times. Left controller: Hold the X button and press the Menu button five times. However, no orange or white light appeared, and the light did not change to blue during boot.
