Meta glasses audio recording not working
Hello, I have a pair of meta glasses that I have been using for a couple of months now. I recently recorded a video of me at an ATM and during the video my glasses seem to have a muffled static during the video (I was going to attach the 25 second video but I cannot). Unfortunately, the beginning of this video is the last time I’ve had adequate and working audio recording. I would love any assistance here if possible, thank you. Note that I have already used the hold capture button feature to clear any moisture and also factory reset the glasses.44Views0likes0CommentsMeta Quest 3 not recording any in-game audio
I've been having the same issue for the past 2-3 weeks. My mic audio gets recorded, and not my game audio at all. Today when I tried to record again, I only heard the record sound indicator in the replay, but no game audio. I tried the same troubleshooting steps, along with a factory reset, but it doesn't work. I contacted Meta about this and they were only able to tell me to factory reset the headset, and no further fixes from them (such as making a headset software update.) It's getting incredibly annoying, plus the fact that I'm a part time VR content creator makes this even worse to deal with. Doesn't record with any app either, especially with virtual desktop, which I use on a daily basis.320Views2likes5CommentsCasting to phone does not show the full view
When I cast my Meta Quest 3 to my phone with screen ratio 21:9, I see pretty much nothing of what the person is looking at and I constantly tell them to look down. Then I noticed that even when I record the screen or when I take a screenshot, what I see doesn't align with what's recorded. In the video below I trace the edges of my field of view with my finger. As you can see, there is a large portion of the video that I don't see through my headset and a large portion that I see, but it's not being recorded. Combine that with cropping the video to fit a wide-screen phone and what the person looks at is often beneath what's visible.
Solved17KViews8likes69CommentsThe camera app settings don't take effect.
I have a problem recording my screen in portrait or landscape aspect ratios, even after I change the aspect ratio in the advanced camera settings, it still records in square 1:1 aspect ratio. Sometimes, it randomly works, but most of time it doesn't. It also always uses the right eye, even if I set the Eye to left eye. This has been happening for a while now, and even though I'm on v81 the latest version available to me, it still doesn't fix my problem. Also note that I didn't have this problem when I first got the headset, it was fine, I would say it started happening around version 76 or 77. I've been playing with friends in Meta World, but recently, when recording with the camera app, only my own voice comes through—nothing else is picked up. I used to enjoy uploading these recordings to YouTube, but now my friends' voices and sound effects aren't being captured, which is frustrating. My friends are experiencing the same issue. Is there any way to fix this?85Views0likes4CommentsProblem transfer recording from Meta Quest 3s to PC
Hi, I recorded a session in my Meta Quest 3S that I'm trying to move to my PC for editing and use in a project but can't get it to work. When I plug in a USB-C cable I get the prompt in the headset to allow my PC to see files and I can see it in the Explorer on my PC. When I click on the headset in the Explorer it's empty even though I can see the recording under Files in the headset. I've tried different USB-C cables with the same result. Any ideas? Cheers, Patrik189Views0likes4CommentsHow can I run a Unity app as a background process while I play another game on the meta quest 3?
I’m trying to develop a meta quest 3 application that runs in the background so I can record controller data (IMU and button actions) while I’m playing a PCVR game like SkyrimVR. my headset will be connected to my pc with an oculus link.221Views1like2CommentsMeta Quest 3 Recording Area is Too High

Hello there, I have a few questions regarding recording videos on Oculus Quest 3. In the headset itself, there is no "both eyes" option. It's available in Meta Quest Developer Hub PC app, however. Can I somehow set it on the headset itself so when I start "Record Video" from Camera app, it would record both eyes? When I set "both eyes" in developer hub, there's no option to record audio. What's the deal here? How can I record both eyes and audio? The video with both eyes has images slanted, which I think also cuts away some of the image. What's the deal with that, why make it slanted? Can I set side-by-side without rotated images? 4. when recording on the headset, mic has agressive noise suppression, making environment sounds completely cut off. Can I turn this off?6.7KViews0likes3CommentsOculus Quest not recording audio if using Fmod
We have implemented FMOD plugin in Unity for audio. The game functions well and sounds can be heard in HMD. However, as soon as i turn on screen recording in headset, the audio can no longer be heard. This issue was not present previously. We believe this started happening after recent Meta auto update. We are currently clueless on what causes and how to solve it. We have tried reverting back to Unity audio and it works fine there. So we can confirm that it only happening using the plugin. Any leads on what causes and how we can rectify this issue will be helpful. Thank you.Solved1.9KViews1like4Comments
