Bring Back the Oculus Home!!
While I understand the need for performance optimization, removing the Home environment entirely has removed a core layer of the PCVR ecosystem, the trophy and decoration system. PCVR users have the hardware overhead to support these environments. By forcing us into the minimalist Void Menu Meta has removed the incentive to collect in-game items and interact with the platform UI. Please consider bringing back a persistent, customizable "Home" for Link and Rift users who want more than just a 2D menu. How come you guys gave Quest cool 3d environments and PCVR users are stuck with some weird Interface. And if the Quest 1/2 can't run it then turn it off by default for them. I'm just saying Oculus Home used to feel more futuristic then the "Modern" Dash Menu ever has. Again Meta please consider bringing back what made Oculus Link special.
Can't download Games on Meta Horizon for weeks now. HELP PLZ!
I have been trying to download Asgard's Wrath on Meta Horizon Link for my Rift S, but it starts downloading and after a minute or two it stops and tells me "Sorry, we couldn't install Asgard's Wrath. Visit Meta Quest Support to get help. It was really hard to get the app installed. I looked up and found a solution. Now that it is installed, large download fails to download. These are what I have tried so far: Disable and also Uninstalled AV (Bit Defender), Disable Windows Firewall Changed install direction from C: to D: Checked size in disk (1TB free) Re installed Meta Quest Link Change DNS on router to Google DNS and back Re installed fresh Windows 10 copy and upgraded to Win 11 Updated GPU drivers Download and replaced libcrypto.dll Changed meta folder permissions Set Power Supply on Windows to performance Set Ethernet device not to go to sleep ever Killed a black goat in the name of LOKI and Asgard NOTHING WORKED! I cant place a support ticket either. Meta Quest Support does not show my Rift S (But it does show all my apps, from which I selected Asgard's Wraith but the troubleshooting section was not helpful). I've recently switched to a new computer, and after installing the Meta Horizon Link app I am unable to get my Rift S headset through the initial setup process. The app recognizes my headset, shows a green check-mark on the connection status, and the display inside the headset turns on and shows three dots in the center. Attempting to go through the device setup, the second step tells me "Sensors can't track headset" and I cannot progress further. If I skip setup the headset still only shows the three dots. I have tried using multiple USB ports and multiple display ports. I have made sure the environment is well lit and suitable for VR use. I have made sure the cable is securely plugged into the headset. I have reinstalled the app, making sure to clear all existing files out of appdata and program files. I have reinstalled the device drivers. I have restarted Windows many times and made sure it is up to date. I have made sure the privacy settings in Windows are set correctly. I am also unable to contact support because the form is not recognizing the ID from my Rift S headset I have been using through the desktop app for multiple years.
Oculus Rift S Headset stays black after years of it working
My headset randomly stopped working one day and I've tried everything to get it to work. I've reinstalled the software, I've updated my graphics drivers, I've plugged it into different ports, and still nothing. I tried asking for help on the support page but for some reason, my serial number for my product isn't recognized. Can someone help me please?
Meta Quest Link not working anymore, stuck on grey loading screen
Hi! I'm really hoping that I'll get the help I need the help I need and been searching for weeks now. Here's the issue: I installed Meta Quest Link in order to use my Oculus Rift S, followed every instructions needed and I've been able to make it work without any issues. The actual interface once with the headset worked properly, I was using it like normal until when I tried to launch the ''First Steps'' experience for the first time, I ended in a loading screen on the headset and this screen above this text appeared on my PC within the Meta Quest Link app, it seems like I'm stuck in an eternal loading screen. I tried to close it and restart the app, nothing. I've even uninstall the app to reinstall it after, still nothing, repaired the app with ''OculusSetup'', also nothing. I can't make it past this loading screen and be able to use my headset like normal. I don't know what to do, I tried everything in my power. I'm trying to join the Coldplay concert in Meta Horizon Worlds, and when I click the world, I get a popup that says "Unable to join world. We were unable to take you to your destination." Every other world I've tried seems to works still though. I can view it on my phone, but I really want to watch from the headset.Headset not working, Meta not recognizing serial number to get support
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some help here. I haven't used my VR headset in years and have finally decided to get use it again. I have the Rift S and have done all the updates needed to get the Meta app on my desktop up and running and connected to my headset. There are three issues: My headset is stuck on the 3 dots loading screen. I can't get connected with customer support. When I try to contact support, it says "We couldn't find any devices associated with this Meta account". My email I am using is indeed the same one I have always used. When I try to verify with another method it asks for my email, headset serial number, or order number. When I enter any of these it says no device found. I am not making any typos. When using the one time coupon code to redeem all of my app and in-app purchases that I was emailed by Meta Quest when the change over / migration happened, it redeemed nothing. All of the apps I paid for are nowhere to be found. I understand that with the change from Oculus to Meta, there are issues that have popped up however I have no idea what to do to fix the above or how to get in contact with support to get help. Any help here would be appreciated. Thank you
Rift S broken cable.
I have been trying to find out whats wrong w my rift s for a long time so i wouldnt waste money and i think it would be smart to just go on and try the cable but since its discontinued is there anywhere where i can still get one i had this VR for years and i dont wanna spend money on a new one since i cant really afford it and would like this one to still work for a bit while i enjoy games On my VR i get errors like these Could anyone help me w this?
