Submission of new app payment failure
We are trying to submit a game like many others and have done everything requested, when trying to submit the info where the Iban screen is we just get a message saying "could not be processed please try again" we've been trying for days now. Raised a ticket, then told its Facebook we have to deal with. Then we go to the new ticket/ awful AI bot and just get errors. Does anyone know how to do this or any way to actually contact someone?209Views0likes0CommentsWhat do you want us to do?
I'm writing this as a developer that talked to your representatives at GDC this year in San Fransisco. As a developer that currently has a game on your store. Why did we not show up under new releases? It's been a week and no one can search for us using the search terms we provided or the categories we entered. Other games last week and this week were posted but we can't be found unless someone types in our name specifically. We virtually don't exist on the store. We geared months of development work towards releasing on the quest store after talking to reps at GDC where we were told we would get some time in the new releases section, that people would be able to find our game. We have an open ticket where we just keep getting the same response. The internal team has it. Nothing helpful, nothing for us to do to help fix a problem if there is one, to tell us if there is something we missed or to actually fix the issue. Our posts here are ignored. If there is something we need to fix, tell us and we'll fix it. But we passed all the checks, we did everything you asked us to do. All we get is, "it has been escalated". Our entire roll out has been destroyed. We have streamers playing the game then getting asked where we are because they can't find us on the store. Please feel free to ignore this, like you ignored everything else.671Views0likes3CommentsMQDH framerate lower than OVR Metrics Tool or users perspective
My App submission currently failes the review on the VRC.Quest.Performance.1 reqiurement. When observing the frame rate in MQDH I do see the low frame rate of 18 even in the starting window. When properly entering the application, I see the framerate quickly switching between 18 and 72. When using the OVR Metrics Tool, it show me a constant framerate of 72. Even from the users perspective, I do not see the beginning low framerate in the starting window or the quick switches of framerates in the main part of the application. This requirement currently fails during my app submissions. Does someone have an idea how to fix this or how to properly debug this behaviour? I am using UE5.3.2 and the latest MetaXR plugin version for UE5.3.2. Thanks!834Views1like2CommentsMixed Reality app without boundary limit
Hi, we are building an MR/passthrough game meant to be played outdoors in large open areas. We found out that boundaries are limited to 10m by 10m which is hugely insufficient, as our game requires the players to move around a lot (easily in an area of a basketball or even a football field). We found out that we can disable the boundaries with the permission: <uses-feature android:name="com.oculus.feature.BOUNDARYLESS_APP" android:required="true" /> but when we try to publish the app, it gives an error: This APK includes experimental APIs (com.oculus.feature.BOUNDARYLESS_APP in AndroidManifest.xml).... APKs with experimental APIs cannot be pushed to public channels. how can we publish the game on Meta Quest store without the boundary limitation? PS: Arkio doesn't seem to have any boundaries so there must be a way. We are putting in place solutions to enable awareness of obstacles and hazards so it's not like we don't take safety seriously2.4KViews3likes3CommentsHow to properly upload and submit a build ?
Hi everybody, I am new here. I'm having a few errors when uploading builds to my chanel via Meta Quest Developer Hub. I got an error that simply said "API_ERROR", "A server error occurred. The request will be retried.". I was builded an .exe version and can play it on my windows computer. When I went to the build section on the web, I saw my application showing the uploaded build. But it hasn't been included in any chanel yet. I also used that build to move to production chanel. And sent a review request and am getting an error "VRC.Functional.1 - TEST BLOCKER - No build available to download". I'm wondering if my build has actually been pushed properly? When I click download on https://developer.oculus.com/manage, it only reloads that website. without receiving any download files. Can anyone tell me what error I'm getting? And how to solve it? Thank you very much.736Views0likes0CommentsRemoving SharedUserID Flag from a legacy app
Hey everyone, We've got a handful of applications that were developed in the Oculus Go era and has been ported over through the years. Back then, we had enabled the SharedUserID flag (https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-element), which has since been deprecated. We are now trying to update those applications but the store won't let us remove the flag. Is there any known way to break the chain and remove the SharedUserID manifest flag for the future of our apps, other than creating a whole new Application listing?479Views0likes0CommentsThis metadata has already been approved and cannot be modified
Hi, I am trying to upload my app to the store but they requested me to change something in an aproved metadata, but when I go into the metadata and change it it says "This metadata has already been approved and cannot be modified" when trying to save it. I am not in reading mode and I cannot eliminate de submision and create another one, it says that i can not do that since this is the first submission. Thanks512Views0likes0CommentsStuck in App Store Review for 7+ months
Hello, I'm developing a game for the Quest 2 as part of a small indie studio. We submitted our game to be reviewed for the oculus app store, and it's been stuck in review for over 7 months. I understand the average is 3 months, so what's going on? We have had no communication from Meta, no emails, no activity, and there's no way to contact them. We also can't resubmit our game for review, so there's literally nothing we can do. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? How are you dealing with it? It's been so long that we're about to release the game on Steam in early access. We wanted to release on Steam and the Quest at the same time as we have cross-platform multiplayer, but we can't release on the app store until Meta's review is complete. The game's optimised and ready to go for the Quest, it's just this review process that's stopping us, and it's about to kill the company. We're at a loss here, what do we do?1.5KViews2likes4Comments
