So, the resolution was given officially. Thank you Meta for the fix, and thanks everyone in this thread as your voices indicated how this issue was significant. 😄 ---------- During setup of Oculus Go by Meta Quest for iOS Version 257.0.0.9.106, I could not play "Health and safety" video, although I pressed "Watch Video" button. As a result, I cannot complete setup my Oculus Go. How do I proceed with the next steps? I also tried the setup by Meta Quest for Android, but the symptom is all the same. Version 258.0.0.9.109 released on Marth 13th also show the same symptoms. Still the setup fails and the headset becomes useless. I can click "Continue" button. But all the three links are inactive. As the video never starts, I cannot complete the setup. I have a new Quest 2. I can go into work to use the internet connection there to update and download apps and music packs, but once I'm home, I only have DSL internet. So is there a way to search for apps/games/etc to purchase that DON'T require internet use after downloading? I have Beat Saber (which I LOVE) and Panic at the Disco pack. I need MORE things! (BTW: 70 YO, so not so much interested in violence - more interested in hand eye coordination, movements, things of that nature). I recently wanted to play the Game Bonelab on my quest 2 ! My parents are totally fine with me playing 18+ games since I myself am 17 and turning 18 soon. However my account is entirely restricted for 18+ games ! I already set up the parental controls with my mom‘s Account to disable the function and give me full access to the entire catalogue ! However, whenever my mom disables the restriction, the option is immediately re-enabled when you leave the menu ! My phone app got spammed with „your restrictions have been disabled“ notifications, however the changes never apply ! I also am unable to even send an approval notification for any purchases overall, so there is absolutely no button to even press ! Well, now my Mom gifted me the game over her account, because we thought this maybe worked better. But the activation code just gets rejected with the same „you aren‘t 18 yet“ response… What can i do ? I have full approval of my parents as I said before… We followed all the guides on the websites, doing everything step by step. What the removal of Horizon Feed in VR means for developers The Horizon Feed in VR is not a high-intent surface, and users often see it without a specific intent to browse or purchase apps. Because of that, it historically has not driven strong entitlement conversion, and we don’t expect significant revenue impact for the vast majority of developers. With this rollout, we will monitor for any impact to developer revenue and engagement and continue partnering with developers on ways to surface apps to users effectively in the new experience. New Navigator assets We’ll be introducing new Navigator-specific creative assets in the future. Hi all, I was hoping someone could help with a link or explanation of how you go about getting an App published onto the Oculus Store rather than just the lab? The FAQ section has a section about 'Store Submission FAQs' but it doesn't really tell you how. The 'Create an App Page' is the closest I can find which makes it look like unless you are an 'Approved Oculus Quest Store developers' you wont have the option to create content for the Oculus Store? Hi, I am trying to deploy a Meta Quest App to the Meta Store. The first submission was rejected, so I am trying to submit a new one, but when I try, I get the following error: OCULUS_PLATFORM__APK_PACKAGE_NAME_ALREADY_IN_USE The funny part is when I try some other name, I get a new error saying that I am trying to use a new package name, and I must use the previous name. Meaning the previous name that is giving the error of package name already in use So maybe someone has had the same issue. I'm trying to find the official oculus and oculus store logo asset files (complying with https://developer.oculus.com/distribute/publish-brand-guidelines/) but it looks like the zip folder with all logos that oculus used to have available on their documentation is no longer there.
