Store New Releases Visibility
Hi, I'm a solo indie developer, and I've recently published a game on the Meta Horizon Store: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/alien-monke/25773573445586295/ It's inspired by Gorilla Tag, but with a unique twist: players can move much faster using boost gadgets, and every minute an artifact spawns that allows players to flip the hunt. The game has received exceptionally good feedback so far. Players seem to genuinely enjoy the experience, which has been incredibly rewarding to see as an independent developer. Recently I've removed the Early Access flag in the meta data as the game passed public beta phase and is in good enough condition for general public. However, the game didn't appear in the New Releases category. I've already reached out to support but they recommended to join the Meta Horizon Start program, hence i've created this post. I would be very grateful for any support you could provide. Thank you for your time and consideration. Hi there, I just got an email notification indicating my payout account was restricted and disabled due to "unusual activity", but I received no clarification on what this activity was, or how to resolve this issue. What's the best way to resolve this, and who should I reach out to for clarification? The corresponding "Learn More" button in the Meta Horizon portal links to an identity verification help page, but AFAICT my identity is already fully verified. In both my personal and business account overview there are no account issues flagged. I really don't know how to proceed here and appreciate support from someone at Meta on this.39Views0likes0CommentsComing Soon list in Store
Hello, We’ve had our project’s “Coming Soon” page on Meta for a while now. It’s performing well, especially in terms of conversions, and the number of wishlists is growing every day. However, we haven’t been able to get it to appear in the “Coming Soon” games list in the store. What goal or milestone do we need to achieve to appear there? Thank you very much15Views0likes0CommentsHow to use a new keystore for Quest 3 builds. I can't find how to delete existing builds.
Hi everyone, I'm trying to upload new builds for my Quest 3 app using a different keystore, but I've hit a wall and hoping someone here can help. The official documentation at https://developers.meta.com/horizon/resources/publish-overview-appID/ states: The only way to generate a new keystore is for you to delete every version of your build However, I cannot find any option to delete builds anywhere in the Meta Horizon dashboard. I've looked through the app management pages, version history, and release channels, but there's no visible delete button or option. Thanks!57Views0likes1CommentOTA Zip meta quest 2
Hi, I'm repairing a Quest 2. The headset boots to the Meta logo then shows a flashing grey screen. ADB sideload mode works but the OS is corrupted. I need the official Quest 2 OTA recovery package to reinstall the firmware through adb sideload. Serial number: 1WMHHB6APM2292 Model: KW49CM (128GB) Where can i find the correct OTA zip? Please send the correct signed update zip219Views1like3CommentsAge Group API?
Anyone else have problems implementing the Age Group API for Mixed Ages? I went through the course and it says we just have to call the API in our game (which I did), yet I'm still getting this compliance item as TODO in the dashboard, and my game was removed from the store! People who want to install the game are messaging me saying they can't find it on the store. I'm wondering if anyone else has implemented the Age Group API? Should it clear up automatically if the call is working correctly? Maybe this is a common error that somebody else dealt with, or maybe I'm missing something silly. I've attached some screenshots of my Unity Code, the log in my build, the course completion as well as the violation. Maybe this is Meta's way to push us not to have a mixed age app, and set the age to 13+ only? I really wish there was more transparency so I could know what I have to do.44Views0likes1CommentWishlist 180 day restriction
Hi everyone, I’m currently planning the roadmap for my upcoming title, targeting a Q1 2027 release. I’m looking to start building my community and capturing wishlists now to ensure a strong launch, but I’ve just discovered the 180 day restriction for "Coming Soon" listings on the Horizon Store. Steam's philosophy is to get your store page up as early as possible, sometimes years in advance, to get as many wish lists as possible. This allows indie devs to funnel all social media and press traffic to a single source from day one. With the current Meta policy, I have to wait until late 2026 to even have a presence on the Store. Any hype generated now has nowhere to go on the platform, forcing me to use third-party tools (Discord/Email) which have much higher friction for users than a simple "Wishlist" button on their headset. My questions for the community and Meta team: Is the 180 days just a suggestion and really I could submit a page now? If not, what is the internal reasoning for this limit? I can see a possible issue with vaporware, but I've already sunk a lot of work into my project (which I hope shows in the screen shots and video), and I would not want to give up on it now. How are other devs handling long-term "wishlisting" when the platform itself blocks the page until 6 months before launch? I’d love to understand the strategy here, as it feels like we are losing out on a lot of early organic discovery compared to other platforms. Thanks!46Views0likes1CommentIssue with users switching to Beta/Alpha channels and back to LIVE.
I am hearing a few cases form our users that have issues updating our application after switching from either Beta or Alpha, back to the LIVE version. It will sometimes not update even with a full reinstall. Are there any other developers here experiencing this issue of forcing the application to upload to the selected release channel?111Views0likes2Comments
