Does Oculus include any way to install dependencies on first launch?
I have dependencies that need to be installed before the first launch of the app. With Steam, they offer "Install Scripts" that allow install scripts to be run prior to the game being opened. I am wondering if Oculus offers anything similar, or if my game exe itself should handle installing those dependencies? Thanks.699Views0likes0CommentsCannot add test users
Hello, I am experiencing blocking problems with the test process. I cannot seem to be able to create test users at all. I also tried adding my own account. I always receive the following message: "Sorry, we couldn't locate the user that you were looking for." Conversely, the page accepts IDs that are not emails (such as "aaa"). I can see those fake users in the list, but obviously I have no way of using them. Please help.1.4KViews0likes3CommentsBuild uploaded to Alpha channel shows as "Not Valid" in Oculus client
I've created a test application on the dev portal, set myself as a developer, entered a bunch of metadata, and uploaded a dummy build to my Alpha channel. The dev portal reports that the upload and processing were successful, and the app shows up in my Oculus client's Not Installed list, but there's a big X over the cover image and the message "Not Valid". If I go into the app's details, everything looks right except version number/release notes, which is blank. I tried uploading the Oculus World demo as a build to see if it was something specific to the exe or folder layout, but that yields the same result. Is there any way to tell what is wrong with it?Solved3.8KViews0likes7CommentsPreview build unavailable to some developers
I've got an alpha channel build and I've added some of my colleagues to it, but it only shows as unavailable without explanation when they try to install it from the preview builds section in the Oculus store app. Both have the "unknown sources" switch enabled. Is there any way to debug this? I can install it myself no problem, and I don't even have a headset attached on my machine.755Views0likes1CommentUn-submit Issues
Our team recently submitted our first app for Oculus review for inclusion on the store. After submission, we wanted to update the screenshots and found we had to Un-Submit the app in order to make these changes. I am guessing that once the app is approved we can change it (unknown). I would suggest finding a way to allow developers to make these changes to the Art assets, info and descriptions without having to pull down the app and restart the review process.482Views0likes0Comments
