App rejection due to VRC.Quest.Functional.9
I am submitting a fully MR only app to Meta Quest store early access and I am getting rejection due to the app failing VRC.Quest.Functional.9 : The user's forward orientation is not reset when the Oculus Home button is long-pressed. I have selected the tracking origin to be Floor and enable Allowed Recenter on OVR Manager, yet I am still getting this rejection. Also, I feel that this should be an requirement for a fully MR app since all the objects in the scene are tracked to user's space and should be change or be recentered. Anyone know what do I need to do to fulfil the requirement? For more context, I am using MRUK to detect user's space.Solved2KViews0likes7CommentsSystem gesture is reserved
The Meta team canceled my app submission because they said that for apps that support hand tracking, the system gesture is reserved and should not trigger any other action within the app. How can I address this problem? They sent me some links, but they are not really useful. Can someone tell me how to address this problem? Thanks. I will link the links they gave me: https://developer.oculus.com/resources/vrc-quest-input-8/ https://developer.oculus.com/resources/hands-design-bp/#system-gesture Hi Big_Flex can you give me a feedback on this ? Thanks for your time 🙂622Views0likes1Commentapp store review comes back with same error
Hello, I have made multiple submissions of different code of my application and the Meta reviewer keeps coming back with the same error: stuck in loading mode with unity logo in one eye. This however, is not what I can see when I load it from any quest or open it from the Meta Quest Developer Hub. I have tried now for 4 different builds and they keep coming back with the same error I do not see. Please can somebody help, does anyone else have this issue? Thanks768Views0likes1CommentHow to contact meta support as a developer?
I'm part of a small indie studio and we submitted a game to be reviewed for app lab 7 months ago. Nothing has happened and the game is stuck in review. We've had no communication from Meta, and we fear that something has gone wrong during the review process and the game will be stuck in review forever. How do we contact Meta support as a developer? Is there an email, phone number, website, ANYTHING we can use to contact them? What are you supposed to do if you have issues during the submission process if there's no one to contact and you can't do anything while the game is being reviewed?2.9KViews1like1CommentApp review taking too long
Hi, I had submitted my App for review in October first week. It shows still under review. I had submitted another app a few months before and the review process happened within 3-4 weeks. But now it seems to be taking forever. Is everyone having the same experience?977Views0likes1CommentApp Lab Submission Approval
Hi, I previously uploaded an app on App Lab. It got flagged on one of the tests. Essentially, the test assumes I'm making a certain type of app. The app I uploaded is not of that type. The approval team and I spoke and got it resolved. It took over a month but we got there. I uploaded another app. Got flagged the same way. It is the exact same issue we resolved last time but with a new app. I intend to upload more apps which will most likely go through the same process. Reached out to the approval team. It's been a month and a half and no response. Can someone help? Thanks2.6KViews0likes1CommentApp Lab Submission Must Support Quest and Quest 2
Hi All, We've had an application fail review for VRC.Content.1 because we are targeting the Quest 2 only and we've been told that we must support both Quest and Quest 2 when submitting to App Lab. Is this true? And is this also true when submitting to the full Oculus Store? The second question that I have is: When a submission fails, do they immediately stop reviewing the other VRCs, or do they do a complete pass on the submission and let you know all of the failures? Thanks so much for any advice!1.3KViews0likes1CommentNo Reply from Oculus Support (2 months)
Hi, my name is Ariel. I have been having issues trying to contact the Oculus Support Team. I have created two tickets in which they both got a response saying they were assigned to Oculus Submissions Team. It's been 2 months already and I haven’t received a response back. If anyone has some advice that would be great - I am still not sure if it’s an issue on my end. I appreciate the help!1.1KViews1like0CommentsPrivacy policy issue when publishing the app to app lab
Hi everyone~ I am running into a privacy policy issue when we try to publish the app to the app lab. We didn't collect any user data in any form for our app, so we show that on our privacy policy page. But still, we receive feedback from the review team indicating we have some issues with our privacy policy. Here are 2 feedback from oculus team: I have 2 questions: 1 I have an assumption of the issue, which is our client wants to show, that in the future version, we will collect user data, but in the current version, we don't. Is this causing the misunderstanding? 2 If we show that we didn't collect any user data, do we still have to have a clear explanation of how the user may request all their data? If anyone has any idea or experience, please leave your thought, thank you so much.Solved2KViews1like1Comment
