Allow option for internal speakers to work with headphones connected / 3.5mm / BT
Hello, Quest 3 feedback suggestion: Allow option for internal speakers to work with 3.5mm or bluetooth headphones connected. Reason: For devices such as the Woojer haptic feedback vests, straps or subwoofers, you cannot use the built in speakers due to connecting these either via the 3.5mm jack or bluetooth. Adding this as an option would not hurt anything, heck you could even add a pop-up to note that this setting has been changed and where to find it each time something is connected. Advantage: There would then be no need to use additional headphones when wearing a haptic vest, haptic strap or when using a subwoofer. Headphones can be cumbersome or not even possible to use with most VR headstraps. Many thanks for listening.260Views4likes5CommentsAbout Meta Quest 4 Development Suggestion
For Meta developers, I am your loyal customers and got Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 for years. I got the rumor and your latest device might be released on 2027! No matter when does it release, I would provide a deep feedback and suggestion for your next device. The overall experience is super brillant for Meta Quest 3, it is much much better than Meta Quest 2. It is due to the MR experience!! But I hope that, you can have a better visualization for MR mode, the existing performance always has shadows for my hands when moving, I cannot wear it for outside as I cannot see very clear in further distance, I can only see the closest view, but even that, when I use it to look at the text in mobile phone, it is a bit hard! Therefore, please enhance the MR experience and this is necessary!! The next enhancement must be the controller setting. I am not saying that, the existing controllers are not good enough for playing games. But as you know, there is very few games for non-controller mode!! Yes, what I mean is, you only need to use your hands and that can control many things. Even if one of your selling games of "The climb" series, I still need to use controllers to play!! But why? The other competitor Value, their controllers can let you to move each fingers separately!! But your controllers cannot, yeah, you can move a few fingers but the other competitor's controllers had been developed for years and that can move each finger's separately. Just if we can move each fingers, I do think that, many games or VR chat would have many new playing methods, even for GYM training! Therefore, would you develop a new controller method just say for example, "Meta Quest Gloves" for both hands to wear (controllers for other games) and that can help us to feel more physical or real in playing VR experience and a new development for new games? As you know, the MR experience would be a huge difference if you develop this and this can push the new trend for whole VR industry!! As AI is an existing hottest technology for the world, please develop or enhance your device with AI functions such as AI chat, yes, a real AI VR chat with your device!! This is the most important point, for Meta Quest 3, there is only VERY FEW games that have been done for enhancement!! What I mean is, enhancement from the Meta Quest 2 version to Meta Quest 3 version!! Yes, very very few games, I hope that, your new device can use AI to let the graphics more sharp and enhance the visual performance for all existing games. In reality, for TV console, such as PlayStation, or even Nintendo Switch 2, they can play the old device's game in the latest device and those games can have a few enhancement, such as FPS, outlook, the 3D image is more sharp comparing with the old device. Therefore, I really hope that, please use AI or develop something that can let users to have a better experience for old games. In the market, there is a tool that call “Quest Games Optimizer", this is an extremely good tool for enhancing the experience for playing games! Please have a look of this tool and see if you can use it in AI functions for Meta Quest 4. The graphics quality of Asgard’s Wrath 2 had been decreased a lot comparing with Asgard’s Wrath 1! It is due to the limit for the device, we cannot connect with PC. Kindly please help to release your game again in Steam platform!! What I mean, I don't know, even your game that release in Steam, but the users for PICO, PS VR 2, they still cannot play it, they must still need a meta quest 4 device. I don't know what you can do, but due to your limitation for the device, many good games cannot play in a better graphics or better performance!! Even if Steam VR is coming to launch, but they are different target segment, they cannot use MR, their device is only for playing games!! Please accept and think again to develop games for Steam!109Views0likes3CommentsTwitch streaming
Can you make it like YouTube where we can see chat while streaming, also can you make it so we can stream without a 3rd party user like OBS or StreamLabs some of us don’t have a pc and want to stream. As always thank you for your time Meta and I hope you take this into consideration.39Views3likes0CommentsMETA QUEST OCULUS NEW WAY TO TURN
META QUEST OCULUS NEW WAY TO TURN State of the art: To turn you have either turn yourself (physical body) or use the thumpstik or use other devices like haptics or treadmill or setup. Proposal (idea): Like in strategy games on PC, to move around a map you approach the cursor to the side or edge of the screen. Similarly to turn on VR you should just need to turn your head to your maximum left or maximum right to start the turning (90 degrees over 360 degrees). By doing this you can look around without turning but you can start turning by looking beyond 90deg. Additionally the speed of the turning can be set by how much you ‘overturn’. If you look at 95º you would start turning your avatar faster. At 100deg you would be turning at max speed. Additionally this should be able to be set up by user (90deg to 110deg) or (45deg to 90deg) or any other number from 0 to 180 or any combination. This setting depends on user comfort. Between 90deg left and 90deg right we will call this dead zone. Beyond 110deg (left or right) we’ll call this saturation. Additionally we can add acceleration between dead zone and saturation. In my opinion linearly (no acceleration) should be the default. This type of movement is going to be called ‘turning by headset’ or TBH. Additionally this can also apply on the z direction (real ground to sky). By looking up or down we can tilt the plane or drone or spaceship up or down. This should be very useful for real drone driving as it will become much easier to drive. In drone-mode or plane-mode you would use the triggers to accelerate or brake (reverse thrust). Additional movements can be performed with the thumbsticks like rotate in the Y direction (z is ground to sky). Additionally you can also rotate on Y axis (clockwise or counterclockwise) by tilting your head clockwise or counterclockwise with the same system previously described. To move around (not just turn) I suggest the use of ‘Natural Locomotion’ (on steam) as it was in my original idea to do it this way but they did it first so I suggest to merge code to get a fully immersive easy to navigate experience. implementation for turning with headset in VR © 2025 by Pol Barreio Font is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International implementation for turning with headset in VR by Pol Barreio Font is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalimplementation for turning with headset in VR © 2025 by Pol Barreio Font is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International implementation for turning with headset in VR by Pol Barreio Font is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International META_IDEAS_PBF/ at main · PolBarreiro/META_IDEAS_PBF483Views0likes1CommentUK Keyboard layout for USB keyboard
So, I don't currently have a bluetooth keyboard. No problem I thought I've got a wireless small logitech keyboard with a USB reciever and an adapter. Which works really well... but I'm rather disappointed to find all the layouts for a phyisal keyboard seem to be US? Would it be that much to put UK options? Tried to screenshot the options but it blanked them out..730Views2likes1CommentExplorting 3d Scans made on the Quest 3
It would be really cool to be able to export the models and textures made while 3d scanning environments using the quest 3. This would allow us to import the scans into a 3d modelling program like blender, to be able to set them up for use in another VR game or experience. In a way it would be helping expand the content available in the metaverse by allowing users to get creative, even if the 3d model isn't particularly high detail, users could add in missing detail via a 3d modelling program. We could also add extra detail by modifying the textures, normal maps, height maps ect. I would love to be able to make a map out of my gaming room for use in a social VR game! People used to make maps in CounterStrike years ago called RAT maps, where they would model an environment where the player was tiny playing in a massive ( to them). Having this feature available would make is much more accessible to create fun content like that. Progress is good ^_^, and the less limitations we have for contributing to the content available the better! Unlock peoples creativity ^_^2.6KViews0likes1CommentMake Oculus rift S swap with Meta Quest possible
Hello everyone, I just asked Meta customer service for this thing and the support I got agreed with my idea ^^ I asked if it was possible to exchange my Oculus Rift S with a brand new Meta Quest 2. By "exchange" I mean that I send my Oculus Rift S and I get a reduction for the Meta Quest 2 like a trade. It will be cool and its a positive point for the ecology, it prevents the old product for being thrown away. I hope you will agree with my suggestion and that my post reach up the Higher up of Meta to be approved ^^ Thanks to the customer assistant Chris.A who said me to post on this forum. Thanks for reading me 🙂1.1KViews1like1CommentVirtual Glasses
If all glasses do is warp the way that light hits our eyes to make our vision clearer, then do you think it would be possible to code a VR headset to take a glasses prescription and change the way it presents images to mimic the glasses and clear their vision in the virtual space? That we have glasses prescriptions means that we know how those measurements effect our vision, so why can't we program the headset to make those changes to how it presents images to us? If you combine that with eye tracking and foveated rendering, then it doesn't seem like it should be impossible.541Views0likes0Comments
