Getting application logs from a test user account
Has anyone had any luck accessing logs created with a test user account that isn't the device owner? I am working on IAP at the moment and to test purchases, I need to use a test account. This works fine but If I am logged into this other account on my device, no logs are created on the device. This makes it a massive pain to debug as I have no logs that i can read to debug. It seems like only the "Device Owner" account actually saves any application logs. Is there a way to give permission to my test account to behave like my main account? This seems like a really annoying and stupid design decision when you prevent Test accounts from creating logs... What are you supposed to be testing if you have no logging!1.1KViews0likes2CommentsAdding a test user account to Quest 3
Hi, I'm following these intructions: https://developers.meta.com/horizon/resources/test-users/ I have created test accounts in the dashboard (they worked with quest 2, but now I try to add them to a Quest 3 device). But now I get stuck on point 10. "Add Account" inside the headset. The problem is that I can only choose Facebook or Instagram accounts to add and the test user account is neither, they are Meta accounts. I have also tried this: - Login to companion app with test user account - Pair app with factory reset headset (success) That makes me see the test app in the library, but i cannot install it, it only says Purchased or Unavailable and install button is greyed out. What am I missing here?2.6KViews1like3CommentsTest User IAP Checkout Flow Stopped Working
We've run into an issue when testing our IAP purchase flow. Up until this week, when we'd click on an In-App purchase (durable level addon), it would open the Meta App Lap Purchase window, where it would give a price and ask to purchase or cancel, then ask for PIN. This was great for testing functionality. Now, when we click on the IAP purchase, the Purchase flow just automatically succeeds and the level gets purchased without prompting with the Purchase Flow window (no confirm purchase, no pin). This happens even after removing the Test Users IAP entitlements. If we turn off the "Inherit organizations entitlements", then the purchase flow just fails with the test user - doesn't even pop up the window. Has anyone else noticed a change in the IAP Checkout flow functionality starting this week? It would be nice to test the checkout flow with our test users before releasing our updates.Solved17KViews0likes15CommentsTest User Password
I've been using the same set of Test Users for a while now. For the first time in about a year, I find I need to know the password for one of them, but I don't have the passwords written down anywhere. Is there somewhere to retrieve password information for Test Users, or do I just have to create new ones?2.4KViews0likes2CommentsApps not showing up in Test User accounts?
Is anyone noticing that your app is not showing up in new Test User accounts? The apps DO show up in the Test User accounts if you make the Test User a developer in the organization, but NOT if you invite the Test User by email. This is true including for apps that have definitely worked for Test Users before. Oculus, are you aware of this as an issue?Solved5.5KViews0likes1Comment
