Quest 3s wont connect to WIFI
So, my headset had been working perfectly since i got it, and vie never had any issues with anything. But after my WIFI went out yesterday, i cant connect to it with my headset, but everything else can connect. It says, Saved/Check password and try again. i Know the password is right. I did ALL of the fixes that people suggested and in the end i ended up factory restarting my headset. Even after the factory restart, it STILL wont connect. now im stuck on the Setting up your WIFI bit of setting up a headset and now i cant even play offline games because i cant connect to WIFI. So my headset is currently just unusable. What can i do to fix this?11Views0likes2CommentsWifi Still Disconnecting on Quest 3
Hi there. Like a lot of Quest 3 users on this forum and on Reddit, I too have problems with my Quest 3 disconnecting from the wifi every 15 to 20 minutes or so. I was hoping that the last three firmware updates would help. Meta had said that v67 has helped with this, but I'm still disconnecting. It's really frustrating when playing a game or while on the Bigscreen app. I've tried everything in addition to the new firmware updates - I've changed between ipv4 and ipv6 on my router, and I've erased the Quest OS and reinstalled everything multiple times. I've also rebooted my CenturyLink modem/router a couple of times. Nothing works. Is there anyone - including Meta support - that has any ideas on what to do now? Or is it possible that my headset is faulty and needs to be exchanged. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.12KViews1like49CommentsQuest 2 Won't Download Games
Had an issue with my Quest 2 not connecting to WiFi a few months ago. It would connect and then disconnect and keep doing this. Finally got around to troubleshooting it today and below are the steps I've taken. Factory Reset Quest 2 Connected to cellular hotspot Downloaded and installed update This resolved the WiFi connectivity issue Connected to home WiFi Able to access speedtest.net in browser and get over 300 Mbps up and down Checked for updates and installed additional update. Attempt to download purchased games Click "Install" on game in Library Brings up WiFi settings Shows connected, nothing needs to be changed Clicking done just closes settings This happens on every game I've tried to install in this manner This also happens while actively running a speed test in browser Find Game in Store Click on Download Adds to Queue and doesn't install One time only, I was able to get about half of a game downloaded but then it quit. There is a serious software issue with the Quest 2. I have updated the device to the most recent OS version. It's connected to the WiFi. I have rebooted all our network equipment. Our equipment is not running WiFi 6. The device has been factory reset. Please provide a resolution to this software issue so that we can use the device.18Views0likes2CommentsCan’t Forget Network
Need help! My son has a Meta 3s and when we recently moved homes, the old network (same SSID as current house) is locked into his device and there is no way to forget this network and connect to the new one. It acts like it can’t see the new one and we can’t forget the old one. No “>” character. He can’t connect to the WiFi and this is obviously a huge problem. I’d like to avoid a full factory reset so he doesn’t lose all previous purchases, etc. What should I do?161Views0likes2CommentsQuest pro extreme instability issues on an eero mesh/WAN network
Got a quest pro recently in mint condition and has absolutely no problems other than it refusing to maintain a connection on only the 5ghz bandwidth of my WiFi. It works fine with mobile hotspots and maintains a consistent connection on 2.4ghz but I plan to use it for PCVR so that's not really an option. It's not traffic on the router either as I have tested with nothing else connected to it. If anyone has any advice on this or has been in a similar situation some help would be appreciated as I've looked everywhere to find there is no info on this at all. Even Meta support couldn't figure it out.14Views0likes0Commentswifi keeps disconnecting
We've gotten a new router recently, and the Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting, saying it's unable to connect to Wi-Fi. It takes a couple of minutes, but it reconnects after a while, then disconnects again. i've tried turning off IPv6. Restarting the headset, restarting the router, banging my head against the wall please someone help19Views0likes1CommentQuest 3 unstable network.
After about 2 minutes of stable gameplay, network latency starts to spike, causing the image to freeze for split seconds. I've tried multiple Wi-Fi networks, but it hasn't helped, even setting the bitrate to 10mbps still gives me the same spikes. If I completely turn off Wi-Fi on the Quest 3 and turn it back on, the network stabilizes for a short while, but after a few minutes, the spikes return. Is there any way to fix this ? This never happened on my Quest 2, which I used just a week ago. If I turn off the 802.1ax band, it's a bit better and by that I mean it doesn't freeze everytime I move my head, but again, after some minutes it becomes worse, even with a turned off ax band, I can use 200mbps but after that, stutters begin and I have to turn it down to around 80 and it still freezes, tho a lot less rarely and could be tolarsted in low intensity games. Tldr Ax band on: stable first 2 min of gameplay, after that it stutters heavily even at 10mbps Ax band off: 200mbps fine for some time, but it starts to stutter and I have to turn it down to 80 and it still stutters a bit. Turning the wifi of the quest 3 off and on from quick settings fixes the stutters for around 2 minutes and it all begins all over again.51Views0likes3Comments
