Cant login to oculus app on gearvr samsung
So i was looking through my closet and found this gearvr, so i took my old s7 and inserted it into it and i apparently alerdy had all the oculus app on my old s7, but in vr it said i need to login in the oculus app. So i take out phone and try logging in, but i get the no internet connection error, but my phone has wifi and websites work. When I try to login (to META) it asks for a selfie, but as shown in the screenshot (from the META login page) it won't let me upload. As I can't upload a selfie I can't access META support, which means I've had to create a brand new META account just to get support. 😤 Can you please help? My main META account is (apparently I can't tell you) and the email is (again apparently I can't put that here, even if I'm comfortable putting it here), I've been on facebook since pre-2009, and I think META is owned by FB so there shouldn't be any issues verifying me with all that user data. Also the META 3 I got today says no support available, can you tell me why? Hi, thank you for reading my post. As the title states, my account is about to be converted to an adult, but I cannot log in as there is no email linked to my account as I know of, my parent does not recall creating my account with an email and only entering in a username. I'm using a throwaway account just to get to the forums and support team (well, I tried to) Does anybody know any way to assign an email and password to my account so I can log in? I am trying to get in contact with support but the support page says 'The Meta Support Team cannot help you with problems with your account, but you can visit the FAQs' and they did not help at all. I am trying all the methods of trying to get in contact with the support team to help me. Please, help me, my account will be deleted on the 14th of June if I do not get my account converted. Meta, if you are reading this post, the system needs serious upgrades. Why can't it just give the instructions in the Meta Horizon app instead of sending me emails to my account that has no email linked to it, nor a phone number? Also, can it just convert automatically and simply tell me what I can now do with my account? I'm getting really upset over this as my account has a year's worth of data, including from games such as UG, Gorilla Tag, Wizherd and many, many more. I've had a meta horizon account since I bought my quest. I put my number on the account my email and etc. but ever since I've moved to another country I completely forgot to change the old number to the new one.. and I one day factory resetted both my phone and quest 2. Ever since then, I haven't been able to login because of the phone number being stuck to that account, and that I had a bunch of recovery codes that I honestly haven't saved. Or just can't find them at all.. I have the old recovery codes I think. But the new ones are completely gone. and I can't let it go because I've had that account for so long and has lots of screenshots and screen recordings I miss. The situation: My son (12) has a Meta Quest account He turns 13 on April 17, 2026 His account will be deleted on April 8, 2026 according to the notification – 9 days too early What happened: Two weeks ago, I successfully linked his existing account with parental supervision (13+) It worked initially Now I received another deletion notice The invitation link method no longer works The account has purchased games and credit balance What I need: Extension of deletion deadline by 10 days (until after his 13th birthday) Or: Transfer of purchases/credit to a new account Or: Clarification if a supervised 10-12 account can be converted to 13+ on his birthday (without losing data) The support problem: I cannot find any way to contact Meta directly. Hi there, I registered my Meta Quest 3 at 9th of September to my Meta Account. Until now it is NOT visible at https://www.meta.com/my/devices/ . This is very bad, as you cant use the Support and ask them about it und also you cant get help on other issues. I am wondering because at https://auth.meta.com/settings/my/devices/ it is registered and visible (even with the serial number) on the same account. I also bought already two apps in the Meta Horizon store. For me it is a very annoying situation because I don't know how to get help. Someone has an idea what I can do about that? Hi, I have seen other posts regarding this issue and I have tried the Power button and volume down button for 30s+, nothing happens. I have tried contacting support, but even though in the Meta Horizons app, the MetaQuest3S shows up in my devices, it does not in the browser, and when I give the ChatBot my SN, it says it cannot be verified, and I did triple check, and I checked the SN in the app on the device and am using that same one. So, since i purchased it from BestBuy in June and not through MetaStore, the bot is blocking me from contacting support, and the device will not sync between the app and the website. I have tried 5, known/verified working chargers, and nothing happens. I left it charging for 48 hours to be completely sure, and nothing. No LEDs, no sound, nothing. I had a Meta Account Centre account, which was linked to my Facebook, Instagram and Meta Quest 2, but the phone which had the 2FA codes was stolen. I'm able to log into each of my Facebook and Instagram accounts, and I can use my Quest with what's already installed. But I'm completely unable to access my Meta Account Centre account. I know my email and password, but when I get to the page to enter my 2FA code, I'm unable to get any further. I can successfully reset my account password, but that still doesn't allow me to bypass the 2FA, and there doesn't seem to be any accommodation whatsoever for having lost that. On devices which were already logged in to Facebook and Instagram, I'm able to get to the security settings for my Meta account, but not to Meta Account Centre itself, and in order to deactivate the 2FA, it still requires me to enter it. I've spent hours going in circles on Meta's support pages, but I've not been successful in finding a way of actually contacting the relevant department to talk about this issue. I went through the steps to recover access to a 'hacked' facebook account. But all that did was reset my Facebook password, and did nothing to help gain access to Meta Account Centre, which still asked for the 2FA afterwards. I've even tried following the steps to make a privacy rights request, citing that I was being denied access to my data. But they just immediately closed the ticket saying I was in the wrong place, and directed me back to the generic support page again. I'm completely at a loss. I've had to create an entirely new account just to be able to post here. But I still don't see any way of actually being able to talk to someone. Am I missing something?
