locked out of admin user
my son had a quest 2. he gave it to a friend when he got a quest 3, but he didn't reset the headset. He was having issues logging in to his normal user so he created a second account. lets call them user 1 and user 2 I deleted the meta app off my phone and now he cant access the store or play online (i think?) I have reinstalled the app and logged on, reconnected the device to my app. the next troubleshooting step was forgetting the Wi-Fi and reconnecting but the headset said I don't have permission to do that. i think his 'user 1' is the admin, but he's never used it on the quest 3 and cant access it. when i try to access user 1 it says 'something went wrong' so i click 'generate device code'. the page appears to refresh but nothing else happens. is there a way to reestablish connection to the internet and store?76Views0likes14CommentsI can't login...
I've had a meta horizon account since I bought my quest. I put my number on the account my email and etc. but ever since I've moved to another country I completely forgot to change the old number to the new one.. and I one day factory resetted both my phone and quest 2. Ever since then, I haven't been able to login because of the phone number being stuck to that account, and that I had a bunch of recovery codes that I honestly haven't saved. Or just can't find them at all.. I have the old recovery codes I think. But the new ones are completely gone. and I can't let it go because I've had that account for so long and has lots of screenshots and screen recordings I miss. I am trying to log into my meta account on my computer but it says the email or password is incorrect, however the email and password is correct, I have reset both several times, but it still says they are incorrect. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, but that didn't work, and I did the forgot password thing numerous times, but that is not working either. Hello everyone, I am writing here out of desperation. Recently I bought a Metaquest 3S and wanted to create an account there through their app (Meta Horizon) to log in on the device as the Quick Start advised and also continue adding a Metaquest account to my already existing Meta portfolio of Facebook and Instagram. While the app showed as if it was doing just that, after several minutes of "Creating the account" it suddenly got blocked and I had to restart the app. While trying again to do the same thing randomly I received an email and also I think of the screen a message saying "Action needed on your Meta account" with "Your Meta account has been suspended. We did this because your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Terms of Service.". I tried going to their auth.meta.com link and they started requesting me a selfie. For the past 10 days I kept trying to upload a selfie with my face (good lighting, bad lighting, with/without glasses) and always I get an error with "Please try again later" and after 3-4 tries it gives me the message of "You can't upload photos or videos to confirm your identity right now To prevent any misuse, we limit how often you can do certain things on Facebook. Please try again later.". I always try to give it a 24-48h cooldown and retry and nothing works. Out of desperation I created the MetaQuest account with another email I had, but my main Meta account, which contains my Instagram and Facebook accounts is set to be deleted in almost 20 days. No way of contacting Meta because you have to go through the auth.meta.com log in which is still stuck in selfie verification and I tried coming here with my secondary account. This was the best thing I could do. Anyone encountered this situation? How did you manage to fix it? Any way to actually contact Meta if you are actually locked out of your account center? I recently got a 3S for Christmas and when I tried to access Worlds through the device it wouldn't let me saying it's unavailable. Then I tried it on the mobile app and it said that my account is restricted for violating several rules. It told me to check my email and there was none. I checked my account standing and it says that it is perfectly fine. I talked to the little AI helper but it's telling me to do things that are literally impossible like submitting an appeal when there is no option to do so. My iPhone app says it found the headset, but the headset does not display the 5 digit code needed to complete the pairing. Instead my Quest 3 only offers the accounts that already are already set up in it. Hi there, I registered my Meta Quest 3 at 9th of September to my Meta Account. Until now it is NOT visible at https://www.meta.com/my/devices/ . This is very bad, as you cant use the Support and ask them about it und also you cant get help on other issues. I am wondering because at https://auth.meta.com/settings/my/devices/ it is registered and visible (even with the serial number) on the same account. I also bought already two apps in the Meta Horizon store. For me it is a very annoying situation because I don't know how to get help. Someone has an idea what I can do about that?
