Quest 3 - Airlink freezing and stuttering/shaking after any small movements
I've recently bought a Quest 3 and it works fine in most games, however a couple of them seem to have a constant issue: After about 5-10 minutes of comfortable playing through Airlink the game would suddenly freeze and, upon waking up, the tracking becomes very shaky and extremely sensitive to the smallest of movements. Turning the headset off and on temporarily fixes the problem, but after a few seconds the image freezes again at which point the problem repeats up until the game is restarted. Turning off Asynchronous Spacewarp in the debug tool seemed to have fixed the issue completely in TWD Saints & Sinners, however it is still occuring in Into the Radius regardless if ASW is turned off or not22KViews5likes36CommentsBUG report v81 Update removed Recording/Screenshot options in Meta Quest Link
I am writing to report a major regression after updating my Quest to v81. When using Meta Quest Link (PCVR), the functionality of the overlay menu has been downgraded. Previously, I could double-tap the side of the headset to bring up the menu and access the 'Record Video' or 'Take Photo' buttons. Now, in v81, double-tapping only shows a prompt to 'Resume the app,' and the recording/screenshot options are completely missing. And no, your short cut button to record video never work, you trash !!!!30Views0likes0CommentsQuest Pro controllers go to sleep too quickly.
Both my partner and I have Quest Pros. We AirLink them to our PCs and play VRChat that way. However, we've both noticed that if we stop moving our hands for only about 10 to 15 seconds the controllers seem to go into a sleep mode which causes our characters in VR's arms to drop straight down to their sides. We can wake the controllers back up by wiggling them a bit but it's quite annoying and jarring to have your arms constantly fall to your sides. It's especially annoying when you're using one controller to scroll through a menu and the other goes to sleep causing the game to enter into one controller mode and then the controller you were using to scroll a menu now moves your character so the menu closes and your character starts moving in some direction. I have looked all over but do not see a way to adjust how frequently the controllers go to sleep when not being moved. I've also tried factory resetting both the headset and the controllers.Solved11KViews7likes20CommentsVR in iRacing, stutters randomly, vision is extremely distorted, occasional complete black
I am attempting to use my Quest 3 to play iRacing, I have a 3070 and ryzen 7 5800x, my settings on iRacing are turned down to only having the car textures on High everything else is low / off. the resolution on my Oculus app is set at 0.9, the refresh rate at 70hz. The issue is that after maybe 5 minutes into a race, the VR starts looking terrible, it gets all distorted and it looks like certain squares are not where they are supposed to be. Randomly it will begin to stutter and freeze. Additionally, sometimes the whole thing just shows a black screen. I am using the Quest 3 Link cable from Meta its brand new.23KViews6likes58CommentsQuest 3: No Sound, only when using Air Link for wireless PCVR
Hi All, Solved: Repair the installation of the Oculus PC app by running the installer again and selecting repair. Mine took two attempts, as the first repair crashed mid-repair. Problem: When using Air Link to play wireless PCVR, I have no sound though the headset speakers or through headphones that are plugged into the headset. I DO have sound under all other circumstances and conditions, including playing PCVR via steam link and virtual desktop, and the headset by itself. I am unable to locate any existing advice that goes beyond the following settings, which all appear to be in line with recommendations. I doubt it matters, but my hardware is as follow: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Meta Link App Version 62.0.0.235.346 (62.0.0.235.346) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700x Memory: 16GB DDR4 Mobo: TUF Gaming x570-PLUS GPU: PNY GeForce RTX® 4080 16GB XLR8 Gaming Verto Epic-X What I've tried: reinstalling Oculus on the PC. Setting Playback device to Oculus Virtual Audio Device. A clean reinstall of windows. Replace m2 drive. Update drivers for bios, motherboard, cpu, gpu. Ensure headset software is up to date.Solved8.5KViews1like11CommentsConfirm pairing code not showing up on PC side Meta Quest Link
Whenever I go to air link my 3s to my computer it tells me I need to pair my headset (which I had already done) to my computer, but the only thing is nothing pops up on the Meta Quest Link app on my computer besides the blue bar asking me if I want to set my headset up. (as can be seen in the picture) And when I click "set up" it takes me to a screen telling me to choose which connection method I want to go with, I choose air link, and it gives me the steps on how to enable air link nothing more than that.382Views1like4CommentsCan't pair with my PC on my Quest 2.
I am having issues with my Quest 2 not pairing air link with my new PC. I built it and have all the latest drivers installed, I've tried factory resetting my Quest 2, resetting/rebooting my PC, router, modem, Meta Quest Link app on my PC and my Quest 2. I've tried turning off and on the air link, have bluetooth enabled, it's currently connected to my 5g wi-fi on my router ect and I cannot fathom on how to get this thing to air link my PC, all it does is "Searching for PC" but has no problem connecting to my desktop via remote desktop. I'm at my wit ends here.Solved66Views0likes3CommentsLink not working in any capacity on new quest 3
I’m not new to this. I bought the quest 1 and 2 on release day of each. I was a little late to quest 3 but I’ve got one now. I’ve tried everything in my power to get link to work, including but not limited to: Trying different cables and different ports. I used 3 different cables, all USB 3.0, in every possible port on my pc. Including a USB hub Launching airlink instead. This works somewhat, but is unable to launch steamvr which is what I am really after restarting headset and computer. They always say try this, but it didn’t fix anything before you ask me the stupid questions, yes I am absolutely 100% sure my PC meets the minimum specifications, and I am 100% sure that they are both on the same network. When I plug my headset into my pc, I get the connection notification in both the headset and windows, so I know there is some level of communication going on. Why the meta desktop app or my quest are unable to recognize eachother is one of the most frustrating mysteries I have came across in a minute. I am seemingly unable to attach images in these forum posts, but I have relevant images. One of which shows my PC monitor searching for a link, and then my in quest screen also searching for a link, with the cable connecting the two clearly visible. Looking to get this resolved with a patch of some sort, as I’m assuming this is a software issue (also yes I am running the latest version of all relevant softwares)297Views1like14Comments
