I am currently researching innovation modules that may be relevant to several Meta teams, including but not limited to Meta Horizon, Generative AI, LLaMA, and Experimental Interface Research. I am seeking guidance on the following: 1. What department, contact, or channel is best for submitting innovation proposals or partnership ideas? 2. Is there a dedicated team within Meta (e.g. Horizon Labs, Research, R&D, Co-Design, etc.) that reviews early-stage concept proposals from external independent authors? 3. Are there any internal innovation or consulting programs (e.g. Co-design Program, Meta Open Research, Meta Quest Creators Hub) that are currently accepting new participants or promising collaborations? I am particularly interested in hybrid models where I can contribute not as a permanent team member, but as an external signal architect, designer, or creative collaborator. I thought I read that Oculus won't allow us to collect income/payments for app lap apps outside of the Oculus platform without some kind of agreement with them. But I can't seem to find that, and I just now ran across this post that says we can sell keys without giving any revenue to Oculus: https://developer.oculus.com/blog/oculus-distribution-channel-guide/ We're building education apps and want to be able to sell "bulk" licenses to schools, for example, in addition to sales to individuals on app lab. My team is looking to deploy a private app with multiplayer. Initially we were going to use App Lab and the private keys feature... but I am not exactly sure how that works with the merge of App Lab into Meta's app store. Does App Lab still support private key sharing of an application? If not, our next plan is to try Meta Quest for Business to share the app privately, but I'm hoping we don't have to go that route... Any help is greatly appreciated. I wish Meta was more clear about the changes made to App Lab and how developers are supposed to handle it. Hi, We recently released our "SetVr Xl-Unleashed" application in the Meta App lab. We are selling this application at 19.99$. When our users from the US region tried to purchase this application, their Purchase failed. They tried 3-4 times but every time, the same result. Please see the attached images for reference. I am experiencing a problem with my APK upload from Unity. I upload the APK from Unity just fine, but when I open the game in my headset to test, all movement is delayed, on top of that it is laggy. You cannot move anywhere, my game uses the Gorilla Locomotion System. There are no errors in the Console. The file is only about 200 megabytes. My headset is a Meta Quest 2, so it should have enough processing power to run the file. My headset has run a game the size of a gigabyte before, so it should be fine. Hi, I am trying to deploy a Meta Quest App to the Meta Store. The first submission was rejected, so I am trying to submit a new one, but when I try, I get the following error: OCULUS_PLATFORM__APK_PACKAGE_NAME_ALREADY_IN_USE The funny part is when I try some other name, I get a new error saying that I am trying to use a new package name, and I must use the previous name. Meaning the previous name that is giving the error of package name already in use So maybe someone has had the same issue.
