My quest 2 mic is not working
I was playing nock with a buddy of mine switched to app chat from our party chat and it completely broke my mic. I have tried to fix it since by: 1. checking all my settings making sure it wasn't muted 2. Factory Resetting 3. testing on both air link and voice commands both output literally zero sound 4. Recording video to test it out 5. booting from the hidden menu you get to by holding down the power and - volume button 6. Enabling every permission on everything it allowed None of these fixed the problem and I'm losing my **bleep** not being able to talk in game. If anyone has anything I haven't tried please let me know this does seem to be some weird software lock but I'm not sure what is causing it i think the party chat is what broke it but I need help with this because it's driving me insane22KViews0likes7CommentsNo sound when casting to any device - Quest 3
I don't get any sound when casting regardless of which device I cast to. TV, PC, or mobile app, all the same. Actually, I do hear sound when casting to the mobile app, but I can't get the sound to play through a connected speaker (bluetooth or otherwise), so it doesn't really matter. When casting to PC on oculus.com/casting, there's no sound at all. AirPlay to TV is the same.15KViews2likes18CommentsQuest 3: No Sound, only when using Air Link for wireless PCVR
Hi All, Solved: Repair the installation of the Oculus PC app by running the installer again and selecting repair. Mine took two attempts, as the first repair crashed mid-repair. Problem: When using Air Link to play wireless PCVR, I have no sound though the headset speakers or through headphones that are plugged into the headset. I DO have sound under all other circumstances and conditions, including playing PCVR via steam link and virtual desktop, and the headset by itself. I am unable to locate any existing advice that goes beyond the following settings, which all appear to be in line with recommendations. I doubt it matters, but my hardware is as follow: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Meta Link App Version 62.0.0.235.346 (62.0.0.235.346) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700x Memory: 16GB DDR4 Mobo: TUF Gaming x570-PLUS GPU: PNY GeForce RTX® 4080 16GB XLR8 Gaming Verto Epic-X What I've tried: reinstalling Oculus on the PC. Setting Playback device to Oculus Virtual Audio Device. A clean reinstall of windows. Replace m2 drive. Update drivers for bios, motherboard, cpu, gpu. Ensure headset software is up to date.Solved6.7KViews0likes10CommentsRight audio issue, cloth peeling off & the plastic is old.
My audio on my right side is officially done. It seems like a internal issue because my right headphone works well on the left side. Second, The head strap is peeling off . Third, the plastic headphone(the right side) got stress crack from old age. It already crack on the joint section, but I 3D printed the joint to hold the headphone together. Plus, The lens section is crack too. It looks like plastic material is loose inside. All I was doing is playing Boneworks . Suddenly, I heard a pop sound from the inside of my headset. I want this fix soon. I already got a ticket about this, but I haven't got a answer for two days from customer service. My warranty is over if you want to know. I will upload the video soon to see my issues. Edit: Just look on youtube.com and Type Oculus Rift. Right audio issue and old plastic. or youtube.com/watch?v=HiYyGxsCOOo482Views0likes0Comments
