Battery problems on Meta Quest 3
I didn't think this would become this big of an issue until now. Recently. on my Quest 3 headset, I've noticed some weird problems, one of the most common issues being the battery's depletion rate. It is going down very quickly, as if it's in a rush, which is something I've never seen before. For example, I'm about to play with my friends on a game. My battery is only at 17%, which shouldn't be that big of a deal. I've just loaded into the Loft area and my screen says "Power Off" without me turning off my headset. I thought I would have more time to play, not just around a countable 30 seconds. Something else I notice changing is the speed of charging. It has slowed down significantly along with the battery going down fast. This problem is only happening more recently, and I know that it could be because of how I'm charging it, but that itself shouldn't be the problem. Another thing that could add into it is how I am a secondary account on my Quest headset, as they tend to have more bugs than regular.52Views0likes3CommentsQuest 3 controllers battery drain super fast
I am having problems with various Quest 3 headsets. All the headsets are showing the same issue. The controllers battery is draining super quickly. The pattern is always the same. I put new batteries and use them once for 1-2 hour session. Then I switch everything off and the next time I switch them on again (the same day in the afternoon, or after one week, or after 1 month) the controllers batteries are dead and I need to replace them again. Is there anyone else that is having this issue? Has meta investigated this? Can you please look into this issue and see if it is a software problem? How could I solve this?1.6KViews0likes10CommentsQuest 3 Not charging or Charging Slowly
Hello, As the title says, My quest 3 appears to not charge or charges slowly. Some Back Story I ordered my headset from Currys which is a UK Tech store and have their care and repair; I have had this device for about 9-10 months. As I use the headset for long periods of time, it is connected to a charger a majority of the time, except when I use it to walk between the room with my pc and the room where I use VR. I recently had to get a better, Higher wattage charger; Namely 35W; The cable I use can support up to 60W of power. The reason for a different charger is simple, the Quest 3 one is short and lacks the proper power output for when I need to charge and game at the same time due to the headset reporting slow charging. For reference, I was playing VRChat through Steam link to my PC, I ended up falling asleep due to how exhausted I was due to the flu (Rare this happens), The cable was still plugged in to the port. However, When I checked the battery percentage it was at 5% and had powered itself off. The charger I have is an Anker 6 port charger dock with 1 USB-C port being able to kick out 35w of charging. What's now happening I previously used the quest link feature with a cable from a well-known company that supports charging and playing at the same time, This stopped working aswell. Any charger that gets plugged into my quest become un-usable for other devices such as my phone which reports issues with charging; This brings me to the conclusion that there appears to be a fault with either the charging ports and battery shorting cables OR I'm just really unlucky with cables. The headset seems to report charging and then not charging from a brand new cable aswell. I am curious if the USB-C port has become dislodged or a connection inside the headset has become worn. What I've tried, headset-wise I've done a complete shutdown through the headset by holding the power button down completely. I've checked for any updates - No updates needed I've checked the port itself and can't see any dust, lint or debris inside the port or the chargers I've checked settings to make sure the "Power device when charging to install updates" is turned off. I have not done a complete factory reset. My question is: With the few reports from people with a similar issue, is this a software issue where the headset's battery management has a bug in or is this a hardware issue? I plan to potentially take this into the store for them to take a look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated; I am sure that having the headset on charge shouldn't necessarily cause issues, as I'd expect the software to stop charging to deplete the battery slightly before allowing charge.Solved384Views0likes4CommentsCharging quest 2, turns on, shuts down, repeats endlessly
When charging my quest 2, it keeps turning on, loading with the meta logo, showing the powering off/shutting down loading screen, then turning off, about 5 to 10 second delay then repeat. This has been happening when I've been charging it for the past few days. If I unplug it, it stops but seems to be dead.Solved27KViews1like35CommentsRay-Ban Meta glasses battery drains fast, serial number not recognized
Hi Meta team, I’m experiencing a serious battery degradation issue with my Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. The glasses were purchased from an authorized third-party optical retailer (LensCrafters). After about a year of normal use, the battery now drains abnormally fast and the smart features are no longer usable. I’ve tried all official support channels, but I’m stuck in an automated loop: - When selecting Ray-Ban Meta glasses -> battery issue, I’m required to enter a serial number - The serial number is not recognized by the Meta Store system (likely due to third-party purchase) - Selecting “third-party retailer” redirects me to Ray-Ban, which does not handle smart battery or AI hardware issues - I’m unable to create a support case or receive any support emails I do have: - The physical device - The serial number (on the glasses) - Original proof of purchase I’m requesting assistance from a Meta moderator or support representative to help manually create a support case or advise on next steps for warranty or replacement evaluation. Thank you for your help.325Views1like3CommentsFans Running When Headset is Off
I recently purchased a Quest 3 (having owned one before just after release and don't remember having this issue). I have automatic updates off and never put the headset to sleep, I always turn it off. I've noticed a couple of times now on passing the headset, that I can hear the fan going full blast when the headset is off, black screen, and it takes a long press of the power button to stop the fan, which also turns on the device. If I had not done this, the battery will have probably completely drained (strap with battery was already at 0%). Is this a known issue, or do I need to return the headset?179Views0likes2CommentsQuestion about the meta quest 3s battery
So I bought it on black friday. Each time I fully charge it ( I dont have elite strap with the battery ) and open my meta quest 3s and check the battery in settings it says 99%. It is normal ( like it drains 1% away right when you start it ) or does the battery has an issue? Thanks for help!53Views0likes3CommentsMeta Ray-Ban Gen 2 Glasses Not Powering On or Charging
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a pair of Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2 smart glasses (prescription lenses) from Walmart. However, I’m facing an issue where the glasses do not power on or charge, despite following all recommended steps. Here’s the situation: The charging case works correctly: when plugged in, the case shows the yellow LED indicating it’s charging. When I place the glasses in the case: No LED appears on the glasses. The case sometimes shows a red LED when open. I have tried: Using the original iPhone 20W wall charger Checking and cleaning the charging pins on both the case and glasses Ensuring the glasses sit properly in the case with magnets snapping in place Attempting the long reset method (pressing the side button for 20–25 seconds) Despite all this, the glasses remain unresponsive. Additional details: Glasses have prescription lenses installed. The box was sealed when purchased, so this is the first use. I’ve tried multiple cables and wall sockets. Power button on the glasses is the slide type, not press-and-hold. Issue Summary: The glasses appear completely dead, and it seems like either the battery is in a deep-dead state or there’s a hardware defect preventing charging/detection. The case itself is functioning normally. Has anyone experienced this issue with Meta Gen 2 glasses? Any suggestions or confirmed fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!3.7KViews2likes5CommentsIssue with Meta Quest 3S (Battery) (Charging)
Hey everyone, I got my Quest 3s over 4 months ago, and less than 2 months in, my Quest decided to no longer charge. My device is stuck on 1% battery and doesn't turn on at all. I have tried multiple USB-C chargers that should definitely give it enough power, as well as holding down the power button for 20 seconds and the additional volume button, but nothing seems to work. I attempted to go through my warranty to get another device; however, it says, "We couldn’t find a device associated with the verification info provided. Please try again". This device is not a knock-off of any sort, and I received it as a gift from Verizon when bundling my home internet and phone plan. I think that it's absolutely insane that there is 0 way to get in contact with any support, not even AI support lol. Please, if someone knows a way to fix this or get in contact with someone who can actually help. I'm all ears70Views0likes3Comments
