Elite battery strap disconnecting
I recently updated the to V81 and now my elite battery strap disconnects after roughly 1-2 seconds. I’ve tried resetting the battery pack. Restarting the headset, And even putting the headset back to factory and reinstalling all the updates. Any thoughts?25Views0likes3CommentsBug battery, inssue or normal?
I'm having a problem that I don't know if it's a defect or normal, when I leave the oculus on standby for a long time, like from Monday to Friday, it drops from 100% to about 50% for exemple, but when I pick them up on Friday and put them on my face and look at the battery, I see the battery jumping from 50 to 43, then to 39, then 34, 27 and it keeps jumping until it stabilizes at a low number like 23, then it goes slowly, 22, 21, 20... etc, is this normal?89Views0likes12CommentsQuest 3 battery drainage when not in use.
If quest 3 staff read this please read it properly and not give me an automated reply I work in IT I don't want automated or generic support I'm not an idiot. I’ve been dealing with a persistent and widespread issue affecting the Meta Quest 3 headset and controllers related to severe battery drain, both during use and while powered off. For several months, I’ve noticed that even when the headset is fully charged and then turned off properly, the battery depletes at an unusually high rate. After leaving the headset unused for approximately one month, the charge drops from 100% to around 5%. This is extremely frustrating, especially since my previous Quest 2 headset could hold a full charge for months without any noticeable drain, and its controllers maintained more than 60% charge even after extended periods of inactivity. I have thoroughly reviewed all available settings to disable features that might keep the headset active in the background or prevent it from entering sleep mode. I’ve also turned off auto-updates and background services, yet the issue persists. Despite these precautions, the headset still performs auto-updates and consumes power unnecessarily when it should remain idle. To rule out individual hardware faults, I tested two separate Quest 3 headsets in my household both exhibit the same problem. Additionally, several friends and family members who own the Quest 3 report identical behaviour, confirming this is not an isolated defect but a broader design or firmware issue. I’ve kept the firmware updated in hopes that Meta would address the problem, but there has been no improvement. Each update seems to introduce additional complications while failing to resolve the ongoing battery drain I hate the fact the headset will auto update when I have that turned off. At this point, it’s clear that the Quest 3 suffers from a serious power management flaw that needs urgent attention from Meta’s engineering and software teams. The level of battery depletion while the device is off is unacceptable for a headset and significantly undermines its usability. It feels like the setting is a lie when you turn off the device its like turning off is a fake sleep mode where you device is in fact still on and updating even if you disable.34Views0likes2CommentsMeta Quest 3 Headset Won't Power on

Hello, I plugged my Quest 3 in last night to use it today. I always shut down after using it. The glasses were very hot to the touch. The USB boot screen was on strangely, so I toggled down to restart. There was some software update that happened and then my main screen came up with a low battery warning. Also, the boot screen information was burned into my left eye's screen. The controllers then updated. I powered it off and plugged it back in. I waited a few minutes and restarted. It went through the same software and controller updates and still shows the screen burn and seems hotter. PLEASE HELP!40Views0likes1CommentController drain battery & get hot & won’t update
Hi everybody, I just bought a brand new meta quest 3. The right controller drain battery extremely quick I have tested to put new batteries and after the same time (controller stored not in use) the right controller have obviously consumed much more battery the the left one. I continued the test with other batteries brand and the result remain same. One other noticeable thing is that the right controller have on its bottom an area that become way hotter that the left one. When finally powering up with a brand new battery, it says that the battery is low and it is unable to update. The controller is unusable, no button react and tracking just don’t work. Can someone help me to figure this out ? I have tried to factory reset the controller it but noting happened. I also tried to remove battery, unpair-repair but nothing changed. thanks for your help49Views0likes3CommentsQuest 3 battery is charging too slow and draining too fast
Hello support team and other quest 3 users! Background story: I have owned my quest 3 for probably a year and more now, I'm using BOBOVR2 with a fancy extended battery strap, and I always used it every time I use the Quest 3 because it extends the battery by a large amount. I barely charge my Quest 3 because I rarely got it to 0% while using it because of the extended battery (sometimes probably 40% if the battery died). Last night, it is the first time in probably months that the Quest 3 reaches 0% battery and shuts down (It happened because i didn't plug my battery extension). SO what I did is, I charged it with a 67 W charger (which I always used). I waited for almost 4 hours and suddenly, the LED light changed from "charging mode" (orange) to "low battery mode" (flashing red), WHILE charger is plugged in. I checked the battery status by pressing the power button and it shows a empty battery with a charge indicator on it (which is 0%). Not knowing what to do after searching a lot of forums, I left it to charge for a couple more minutes. It reached 1% after 20-ish minutes, and reaches 2% after 20-ish minutes too, so I left it and went to bed. This morning, the quest 3 battery is 51% (I slept for around 8 hours), which is crazy. I tried turning it on unplugged to test the battery, and it was draining super fast, like 1% per 20 seconds, I tried booting the device and power off (using power off button and volume down). It still doesn't work. Chat, is my quest 3 battery cooked? It happened so suddenly too, and coincidentally (could be) after an update 3 days ago...Solved530Views1like12CommentsQuest 3 controllers battery drain super fast
I am having problems with various Quest 3 headsets. All the headsets are showing the same issue. The controllers battery is draining super quickly. The pattern is always the same. I put new batteries and use them once for 1-2 hour session. Then I switch everything off and the next time I switch them on again (the same day in the afternoon, or after one week, or after 1 month) the controllers batteries are dead and I need to replace them again. Is there anyone else that is having this issue? Has meta investigated this? Can you please look into this issue and see if it is a software problem? How could I solve this?309Views0likes7CommentsCharging quest 2, turns on, shuts down, repeats endlessly
When charging my quest 2, it keeps turning on, loading with the meta logo, showing the powering off/shutting down loading screen, then turning off, about 5 to 10 second delay then repeat. This has been happening when I've been charging it for the past few days. If I unplug it, it stops but seems to be dead.Solved26KViews1like34Comments
