Oculus Link Infinite Loading?
I've been using Quest + Link almost since release and it has been working just fine but now all of a sudden it has stopped working. It says on the oculus client that my Quest is active and ready to go. I put on the headset and enable oculus link. When I do that my screen goes black and then I'm stuck on an infinite loading screen. All I can see are the three moving dots and nothing else. I've tried reinstalling, repairing and restarting the oculus software but nothing has worked. Any help would be greatSolved229KViews15likes38CommentsMy Oculus Quest 2 keeps turning off randomly?!
Now, I will have to say a few things before any replies on solutions are made: - The battery of the headset is 100%. - The camera is clean and tracking is working. - The headset itself on the outside has no damage. - This issue has just started. Well, to put it simply, it keeps turning off. I have to manually turn it back on and it isn’t a black screen of death situation. It could be that the power button has some dust in it but it is unlikely. It would be great if someone has this same issue as I have searched a bit and have not seen this issue in the slightest. Once again having this problem still. I cant use my vr on pc anymore because of this problem please help me out. Tried all methods usually used like reinstalling on a new drive. Updating and all of the above. I need a workaround or a fix please I need some help soon! I've been looking everywhere on the internet, tried every solution found on reddit and whatsoever, even tried to use software to bypass meta software... Looks like Facebook killed the Oculus Rift S. I cannot contact support because my serial is not recognized, it's ridiculous. I was so disappointed and sad when I saw Facebook taking over Oculus, and I was right, it's become awful, and now after the last update, the Rift S worked only once and now never anymore. Sensor, remotes and everything works, except that the screen stays black. Nothing changed and now i have a nice piece of technology that does not work This is extremely disrespectful, pushing people to buy new products by killing the old ones. It is unfair, as I paid money for a device that was working, and i really WISH that Facebook wouldn't have forced us to use their ridiculous software. Who's going to refund me for a 5 years old device that was working perfectly, always taken care of and put back in its box at every use, looking brand new, no damage to cables or anything. There MUST be a workaround to make it work again. Please, solve. I don't want to buy a standalone device. My computer did not get any update so it's all on facebook. I would write so many offensive words to their engineers and managers but it's pointless, hoping to get a reply and a fix that actually works, avoiding software like OculusKiller (which did not work anyway) or other payware. 80+% of the time when I boot my quest 3 after the meta logo it goes to a black/blank screen but I can hear the sounds of the system working. After much research I have found this is caused by the face sensor not seeing me. When I remove the mask it works just fine. Put it back on and nothing. If I move the headset so the mask is being pushed up by my forehead it works but this is very uncomfortable and clearly not how it was intended to be used. I have attempted to find a way to talk to someone from support but that doesn't exist because profits over people. Found a reddit post about this issue and the solution is getting a white face mask. After spending $500 on this device Meta should be footing the bill for fixing their design flaw. Make there be a setting to turn off the need for the face sensor to wake up the device, let us just hit the power button, or press the Meta button on the remotes, or use the ever listening AI to tell it to wakeup and ignore that sensor. I also emailed support but thought I would try this as well. I have a meta quest 3 (7ish weeks old). I worked out yesterday morning with Supernatural and it was fine. Plugged it in after I was done. A couple hours later, went to put it back on and had a few things happen. I got the SIM card symbol with the arrow and the green loading bar. Then I got the spinning meta sign just constantly spinning. Then the spinning meta going to black then coming back on and spinning (repeating). I have also gotten the image of a little robot lying on his back looking dead. We have tried a few things: 1. Hold power down for 30 seconds to restart - doesn’t work 2. Power and volume down, did a hard reboot - doesn’t work 3. Did everything on that menu including a factory reset - doesn’t work What next? I have the Oculus Rift S and I purchased it in 2020. I was using last night with no issues at all, and I took a 20-minute break and when I came back to it the screen was black and nothing was working. It recognized the cables were plugged in and it could see that the sensors are working and I would even get the audio from my PC through the rift headset, but when I went to continue setup in VR it is just a black screen. I have uninstalled and re installed the meta quest app several times along with restarting my computer and even updating all drivers and other possible update my computer could have but nothing is fixing it. When I try and contact customer support it asks me to verify my device using the serial number or email, but when I put either of those in it is unable to find my product, but I have the product in my hand and my original order email. This whole process has been quite frustrating because it stopped working in a blink of an eye and the meta support has been less than helpful.
