Voice Controls - unable to turn off
Hello everyone, I was messing around in the accessibility settings and decided to try out Voice Controls. I got a download prompt, clicked through it, and admittedly spammed the toggle a bit to get it to turn on. It finally turned on, but now I'm stuck with a really annoying bug: There is a permanent purple circle with a white microphone icon floating in the top right of my FOV (looks a bit like the red recording indicator). The voice commands don't actually work at all (I'm in Germany, so dictation/AI features have never worked for me anyway). The worst part: I can't turn it off. The Voice Control toggle/slider in the settings is completely unresponsive and stuck in the ON position. I've already tried rebooting the headset, but the floating icon is still there and the toggle remains stuck. Does anyone know a fix or a way to force-disable this accessibility feature? I know this is a feature to try to increase battery life, but Quest Pro controllers goes in sleep mode way to quickly. You just have to not move your hand for a few seconds and they go in sleep mode, which completely destroy the immersion and is a bit unacceptable for this price tag. Actually, the issue seems like that these controllers fails to correctly detect if you are holding them or not, since they don't take into account that you are touching something on the controller (ie the trigger or the thumbrest) before going into sleep mode. In the Quest menu, the ghost hands have the tendency of disappearing (aka the controller thinks you aren't holding it) when not moving them even if you are touching something. This basic functionally Quest 2 and Quest 3/3s controllers correctly execute and they do not go to sleep mode when you are touching something on them.
Gift purchases not sending email codes, money taken, no real support
I’ve tried multiple times to send a game as a gift (to my friend’s email and even my own alt). Each time, the money is deducted and I receive the Meta Horizon Store receipt, but the actual gift code email never arrives. Support has been no help at all — the only answer I get is “wait 30 days for an automatic refund if you can’t find the email.” This is not acceptable when real money is involved and the problem is clearly on Meta’s side. If there is an issue with Meta’s email/SMTP system for game gifts, it needs to be acknowledged and fixed immediately, instead of leaving customers stuck for a month with no product and no solution.
Update installed wrong or bug, fixable or not? (Or refund?)
I recently bought a gunstock. I play a game called ghosts of tabor specifically. When i try to grip the front of my gun with my left trigger, i can't. This is because my left hand is too much to the right. This is caused by an update installed wrong or just a bug that's causing it. I am on meta quest 2. Is this fixable, or do i have to get a whole new headset just for that problem? It is a tracking issue, but i'm just not sure. Any help?Can't change/edit my Horizon Avatar
Hello, I'm experiencing a frustrating bug in Quest 3: In Horizon Worlds, I can no longer change or edit my avatar (my in-game character)! Even when I'm looking in the mirror in my home apartment, the edit button on the right side of the window doesn't work... nothing happens. Restarting Quest 3 didn't help, and neither did clearing the cache. I've already submitted a bug report several times, but so far, no solution. Have any of you encountered a similar problem, or do you have any ideas on how to fix it? Or do I just have to wait for the next update and hope it works then? Best regards, Tomyi
Locked out of main account. 2FA SMS not sending, Authenticator option missing
Hello Meta Support Team and Community, I am writing from a secondary account because I am completely locked out of my main account, which holds all my game purchases and history. The Issue: I am stuck in a verification loop. When I try to log in on PC or the Mobile App, the system asks for an SMS code. However, I am not receiving any SMS codes despite multiple attempts over the last 24 hours. Technical Details: Missing 2FA Option: I have previously set up an Authenticator App, but the login screen (auth.meta.com) does not show the dropdown menu to switch from "SMS" to "Authenticator App". It forces SMS verification, which is broken. "Too Many Attempts": Due to retrying, I am now getting a "Too many attempts" error. Support Block: When I tried to contact support via WhatsApp using the provided number, my number was automatically flagged/blocked by the bot, so I cannot open a ticket there. Proof of Ownership: My Meta Quest headset is currently logged in and working with this account. I have access to the email address associated with the account. I can provide the Headset Serial Number and previous purchase receipts via Private Message. Request: Please open a support ticket for me or provide a way to disable 2FA temporarily so I can regain access and fix my security settings. I simply need to bypass the broken SMS verification. Recently got access to the PTC for V81, and all seemed fine. But I turned on my Quest 3 and the menu won't appear at all, even after holding down the right controller button and even testing it with hand tracking... HOWEVER... This issue seems to be hit and miss. When I was ready to give up and do a factory reset, turned my headset on and randomly the menu appeared again. It sometimes disappears if I leave my headset on standby for a while, and sometimes disappears if I turn it off and on, and sometimes just randomly appears. Is this a common bug or does anyone have any potential fixes? I have tried launching games from the app and it did work one time, despite it showing the launch and install on headset, even when the app is already installed. I understand it's a beta and could be a bug but wondering if it's just me. Also, when the menu doesn't appear, if I were to hold the power button, it just shuts down, it doesn't give me the option to reset or anything. Any help greatly appreciated 😁
Quest 3, v83 (Navigator) have big problems after update
Trackers disconnecting when leave cameras area. No more tracking by gyro, can't get gun from chest in Contractors, can't make t-pose calibration in VRChat at all, gaming and normal use is not possible now. They disconnect not like stuck in place as usually, they literally greyed out in interface, not visible in UI and Quest send notification about tracker disconnection. Meta white line panel didn't hide in PCVR when used Meta button once. Battery can't charge when i'm just sitting in Navigator (33w power charge which works perfectly last year). Battery still drain like 1 percent in 5-10 mins. Charging in sleep mode leads to reboot, loud fan work with black screen and reboot to system without charging. Tried to disable hand tracking for tracker fix, reconnect trackers through app and UI, hard reset 4 times (and after reset i can use old Navigator with app lines and battery in bottom panel, after restart Navigator change to new with chess app positions and more minimalistic bottom panel). Nothing works, all problems still persists. On v81 i didn't get this problems at all.
