Newest update is Trash
When I drive before the update, I can play music CarPlay and record at the same time. Now it pauses the music. Also when I picked the one press default to take videos, when I put it in the case and use it again, reverts back to taking a photo. It’s so frustrating. The previous version was way better. Meta please fix asap. It’s unusable and annoying. I don’t even want to use this anymore. anyone else having this same issue? I read one person is also having this issue so far.119Views2likes5CommentsDouble text message confirmation
Hello - when replying to a text message, several times a day at random Meta will say: Meta - “message to X says blah blah blah, ready to send?” Me - “yes” Meta - “message to X says blah blah blah, ready to send?” Me - “yes” Meta - “message sent” I can’t find a pattern, I always speak clearly and it tends to work on the second try. Anyone else have this issue? This has happened across two pairs of gen 2 glasses paired with an iPhone 17 Pro Max.48Views0likes5CommentsCan't disable double tap enabling PTC

My new Meta Vanguard sunglasses (one day old) won't charge. I'm getting a constant flashing red LED, even though the case is fully charged (green LED). l've cleaned the contacts and tried a factory reset, but no change. Has anyone had this issue or found a fix?19Views0likes1CommentCan't change/edit my Horizon Avatar
Hello, I'm experiencing a frustrating bug in Quest 3: In Horizon Worlds, I can no longer change or edit my avatar (my in-game character)! Even when I'm looking in the mirror in my home apartment, the edit button on the right side of the window doesn't work... nothing happens. Restarting Quest 3 didn't help, and neither did clearing the cache. I've already submitted a bug report several times, but so far, no solution. Have any of you encountered a similar problem, or do you have any ideas on how to fix it? Or do I just have to wait for the next update and hope it works then? Best regards, Tomyi116Views1like5CommentsNew Quest 3 locked on software update, impossible to fix.
Hi guys, I bought my first Quest 3 today. When I turned it on, it started a software update but it gets stuck there — the device keeps turning on and off without completing the update, and I can’t get past that screen. I haven’t even set up my Meta Horizon account yet, and since I didn’t purchase my Quest 3 through the official Meta store, when I try to enter my device’s serial number on the website it gives me an error. I tried doing the sideload update (the only fix I found on the internet) by holding the volume down and power buttons on the Quest 3. But when I select my device in the browser, I get a message saying: “your device is not supported, please try reconnecting your devices.” Weird cause both my PC and Chrome are detecting it as Quest 3. I also tried disabling adblock, deleting caché and cookies, incognito mode, other browsers, other PCs, other cables, connecting it on different times, etc. There is not a single thing I haven't tried. (Every single one of these attempts were done while having 50% battery. There’s nothing else I can do, literally — I’ve already tried factory reset several times as well. Do I need to return my device? I'm submitting this post so support can help me. I'm quite desperate, I don't see my issue anywhere on google and I spoke to support via Whatsapp and everything they told me to try, I already had.872Views1like10CommentsWake word change confusion v 19.1
For the past two years, I’ve been saying “Okay Meta” as the wake word on my Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses — and it’s always worked perfectly. After updating my Gen 2 Wayfarer to version 19.1, though, the glasses no longer respond properly. The LED lights up and you hear the activation sound, but it shuts off almost immediately. Say “Hey Meta”, the official wake word, and everything works as normal. When I switch to my Gen 1 Headliner, “Okay Meta” still works fine with version 19.1. Has anyone else noticed this change? It may be that Meta was previously more liberal in recognising slight variations of the official wake word, and that the Gen 2 firmware is now stricter in how it maps and processes them. After updating to v19.1, I thought I’d broken Meta Assistant functionality. Relieved I tried a slightly different wake word — more by accident than design! I’m having to unlearn a habit built over the past two years. With the wake word change, saying “Hey Meta” instead of “Okay Meta” feels unnatural and already tough going. After a day of use, I keep saying “Okay Meta”… and nothing happens. It’s surprisingly frustrating when something so small breaks the flow. I really hope Meta makes the assistant more liberal with wake word recognition again. “Okay Meta” is stuck in my mind — and hard to shift.Solved466Views1like17CommentsV81.1034 latest release now detecting usb 3 as usb2
So, having updated to 5131230.22000.520 on 29th Oct, I noticed performance was slow - noticable lag connecting over the link cable. Previous build was fine. I then ran a usb test and it appears its now detecting my USB 3 connection as USB 2 and in the link software I know have an exclamation mark telling me to try USB 3. Its telling me my link speed is 340meg. So i wonder if some regression has crept in the release and now we are missing USB 3 support. Note my pc is AMD chipset based. Nothing else has changed on PC. Meta really do need to do a far better job of testing against pc's !!! its not the first time we've had major issues.581Views2likes33CommentsQuest 3 — Still no PC audio when using Link via USB-C (2025)
Hi everyone, I am reopening this issue because it still happens in 2025. My Quest 3 loses all PC audio when using Link cable. Windows shows “Oculus Virtual Audio Device” and the audio meter moves, but there is no sound in the headset. Cable has been tested by the app and works at full speed. If I use the “Repair” option in the Meta/Oculus PC app, the audio works again. But after a few days, the problem returns and I have to run Repair again. This happens almost every week. This makes the headset annoying to use because repairing the app takes several minutes and should not be necessary for basic audio output. Why this is a problem: -Repairing the app every time: takes several minutes -closes services and restarts the PC app -sometimes resets parts of the configuration -shouldn’t be necessary for such a basic feature What I already checked: -Oculus Virtual Audio Device set as default in Windows -Volume and sound device settings are correct -Good USB 3 cable and port -Quest audio works fine in standalone mode -Windows 11 fully updated -Meta PC app fully updated What I am looking for: Are other users still experiencing this? Does anyone know what keeps breaking the audio driver? Is there a permanent fix that avoids repairing the app constantly? Meta support: when will this known issue be solved??? Thanks in advance for any help or new information.110Views2likes6Comments
