Meta Ray Ban Display malfunction
I had gotten Meta Ray Ban Display (w/ prescriptions) as a birthday present and have been enjoying them for a long time, especially after the V23 update. However, today, when I went and turned them on, it wasn't working properly. The LED light wasn't working, the in-lens display wasn't showing, wasn't connecting to my smartphone via Bluetooth, and all I can hear is a sound effect when I tap the touchpad. Force restarting and factory resetting didn't work as the LED light is NOT working. I appreciate it if someone has a working solution to this problem. Good morning fellas, I bought the new Meta Rayban yesterday and I find them much better than the old ones I only have one problem, from the settings you can connect a Whatsapp account for messages etc etc, the problem is that I use Whatsapp business and it is not possible to connect them to this app. The assistance confirmed it to me and told me to write a post here with a request to the developers so that they can make this whatsapp business also connectable. It would be enough to give the choice once you click on “connect” between one or the other whatsapp in my opinion. I put this on Reddit also posting here in case it's a bugged update? Ok so this is my issue after Feb 27th v2.1.1034 Update: 1. The Problem: v85/v2.1 "Passthrough Loop" AI advises: This specific flickering issue (cycling between Home and Passthrough) is a known bug associated with the v85/v2.1 update. It appears to be tied to a conflict between the new "Navigator" UI and the headset's tracking/boundary service. Why it happens: The OS is essentially "crashing" the immersive home environment and falling back to Passthrough as a failsafe, then attempting to reload the environment again. The "Double Tap" Fix: Manually forcing Passthrough works because it tells the OS to stop trying to render the immersive environment, which bypasses the crash loop. 2. Process: Meta Software Update Tool Attempted resolution: I proceeded with the Sideload Update - update successfully loaded but.... Issue persists > Goto 1. LOL. So right now I will perhaps await the next meta update which may fix my problem before attempting a factory reset and linking accounts up etc... > If I manually enable pass through, I can get to quick access menus etc. so could update from there when next update available. > I haven't tried - PC Wired Link yet, so hopefully can get to MSFS SIM I use. > For the moment, standalone usage is a no go. Im having issues with my brand new glasses. It does not play any audio coming from the phone. Everything else works but when it comes to listen to music or making calls. It gave me an update to version 17 whilst setting up the glasses and both the phone and meta ai app are up to date. I already tried the TS found over here re-pair the glasses, factory reset and all the works. it feels like a firmware bug but i have no idea what to do. Oakley did not help they just offered a return but it is not possible for me. I bought them for a trip in which I currently am… in a different country. any ideas?507Views0likes7CommentsPossible fixes
I recently purchased the Ray Ban Gen 2. I love them, however. There is a list of things I do not like, The audio that comes out of the speaker rattles at a low frequency. It begins at 50% percent than stays like that, doesn't get worse because as you push for full volume, you seem to lose all the low end and focus more on the mid and upper range frequency. It actually sounds louder and fuller at 50% volume than it does at 100%. As for the bass, all you hear is a rattle from the low frequency. Even with voices. I do enjoy the stereo field you guys created. I can focus on song mixes at a low volume. If you guys can update the way the audio is being output with some kind of firmware that cleans up how the speakers receive the sound. That could fix that issue. I would also like to add that when you tell META to add information to the MEMORY section. Most of the time, it is mistaken for setting a REMINDER. That should be a problem that should be fixed, as well as META responding back to when it actually says that it has updated the memory with that information, but when you look back into the Settings and check in the Memory section, it is not updated. And if it is setting reminders, its not reminding me regardless of using other connected apps that would if i input that data. I would like for META AI app to be the main source of memory, documents, and reminders etc.. The average battery life for the glasses is 3-4 hours. They also seem to heat up easily when using Live AI for quite a bit of time. Anyways, awesome product! Hello everyone, I am writing this from a temporary account I just created specifically to ask for help, as my main Meta account is currently disabled and I cannot log in to post here. My main Meta account was deactivated because it was linked to an Instagram account that was suspended for not following community rules. While I understand the decision regarding Instagram, my Meta Quest account has absolutely nothing to do with it. I recently bought a Quest 3S and I have invested a significant amount of money in a large library of games. Currently, my headset is basically a brick because I can no longer access the content I legally purchased. To be honest, I do not care about the Instagram account anymore. Meta can keep it disabled. However, I desperately need to recover my Meta or Oculus account and my game library. It feels very unfair to lose hundreds of euros worth of digital content because of a linked social media profile issue. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there a way to decouple my banned Instagram from my Meta account so I can use my Quest 3S again? I really need help from a moderator or anyone who knows the right path to take. I recently purchased the Meta Display Glasses with the Neuro Band. I've set up both devices, but I can't control the Displays at all via the Neuro Band. I've tried to wake the Displays and/or use any of the gestures in order to control the Displays, but nothing works. I've tried everything including factory resetting both devices. Also, when I bring up the Display screen via the touch pad, the screen shows the symbol indicating that the Neuro Band is not connected. Does anyone know what the issue is and how to fix it? And/or does anyone have a contact number with Meta so I can speak to them regarding it? Hi! I have been using it daily since October and I love the day to day with it on my updated Android. This morning I ran into a problem: the microphone on my glasses stopped working on my phone. My main case of wearing glasses is still using them as a headset for calls and sending voice messages. It is updated to the last version available. I've tried factory restoration (also unpair and re-pair) and nothing. I already had a first generation with a very similar problem, but there it was possible to remedy the problem by activating an option in the app settings. However, we do not have that option here. Hello everyone, I was messing around in the accessibility settings and decided to try out Voice Controls. I got a download prompt, clicked through it, and admittedly spammed the toggle a bit to get it to turn on. It finally turned on, but now I'm stuck with a really annoying bug: There is a permanent purple circle with a white microphone icon floating in the top right of my FOV (looks a bit like the red recording indicator). The voice commands don't actually work at all (I'm in Germany, so dictation/AI features have never worked for me anyway). The worst part: I can't turn it off. The Voice Control toggle/slider in the settings is completely unresponsive and stuck in the ON position. I've already tried rebooting the headset, but the floating icon is still there and the toggle remains stuck. Does anyone know a fix or a way to force-disable this accessibility feature?
