BUG: Meta Horizon mobile app "Device locked" pop-up error
So the Meta Horizon app on my iPhone SE (2020) got an update today (v364.0.2.18.265), and now it keeps randomly popping-up the error "Device locked. To allow your headset to share information with this device, put on your headset and enter your passcode." Well, my nearest connected headset doesn't even have a locking passcode set! 😠 Also, we have two headsets managed by the mobile app. The annoying popup doesn't even identify which device it is referring to! 😠 My daughter's headset has a locking code on my primary account, but not on her account. However, it was asleep on charging and too far away, thus appearing as "not connected". So that shouldn't be the issue either. I did a Google search for the above error message and nothing at all was found. Zero. I guess it's a new "thing". Thanks Meta 😠. I tried fully powering both headsets off and on, restarting the phone and logging out and back in to the app, but the bug persists. I've reported the issue to Meta via the mobile app. Anyone else having this issue?68Views0likes5CommentsVoice Controls - unable to turn off
Hello everyone, I was messing around in the accessibility settings and decided to try out Voice Controls. I got a download prompt, clicked through it, and admittedly spammed the toggle a bit to get it to turn on. It finally turned on, but now I'm stuck with a really annoying bug: There is a permanent purple circle with a white microphone icon floating in the top right of my FOV (looks a bit like the red recording indicator). The voice commands don't actually work at all (I'm in Germany, so dictation/AI features have never worked for me anyway). The worst part: I can't turn it off. The Voice Control toggle/slider in the settings is completely unresponsive and stuck in the ON position. I've already tried rebooting the headset, but the floating icon is still there and the toggle remains stuck. Does anyone know a fix or a way to force-disable this accessibility feature? Having this icon constantly floating in my view is super distracting. Thanks!Solved523Views0likes8Commentsv85/v2.1.1034 Passthrough Loop
I put this on Reddit also posting here in case it's a bugged update? Ok so this is my issue after Feb 27th v2.1.1034 Update: 1. The Problem: v85/v2.1 "Passthrough Loop" AI advises: This specific flickering issue (cycling between Home and Passthrough) is a known bug associated with the v85/v2.1 update. It appears to be tied to a conflict between the new "Navigator" UI and the headset's tracking/boundary service. Why it happens: The OS is essentially "crashing" the immersive home environment and falling back to Passthrough as a failsafe, then attempting to reload the environment again. The "Double Tap" Fix: Manually forcing Passthrough works because it tells the OS to stop trying to render the immersive environment, which bypasses the crash loop. 2. Process: Meta Software Update Tool Attempted resolution: I proceeded with the Sideload Update - update successfully loaded but.... Issue persists > Goto 1. LOL. So right now I will perhaps await the next meta update which may fix my problem before attempting a factory reset and linking accounts up etc... > If I manually enable pass through, I can get to quick access menus etc. so could update from there when next update available. > I haven't tried - PC Wired Link yet, so hopefully can get to MSFS SIM I use. > For the moment, standalone usage is a no go. Note: > I do have WhatsApp on the Quest which I know is active and in past updates I've seen this crashing in the background via notifications message things popping up. That has not happend this time but I think the Q2 may be struggling in my case as per above, something is causing it to crash. > I recently starting testing the 3rd party Immersive App on Q2 with it's version of remote desktop and virtual second monitor feature it can use with a laptop, as native Meta RD can't do that.....but I'm assuming nothing is running in BG with that app if it's not being used...... META / Anyone - any thoughts?Solved503Views1like15CommentsCan't disable double tap enabling PTC
Hi! New version of firmvare (v81) doesn't exists option like "Passthrough->Enable passthrough double tap on quest" And now, if I double tap on my quest, it enable passthrough. How can I fix that? Maybe some adb command or smth else or only wait new update?2.7KViews21likes37CommentsQuest Pro controllers going in sleep mode too quickly
I know this is a feature to try to increase battery life, but Quest Pro controllers goes in sleep mode way to quickly. You just have to not move your hand for a few seconds and they go in sleep mode, which completely destroy the immersion and is a bit unacceptable for this price tag. Actually, the issue seems like that these controllers fails to correctly detect if you are holding them or not, since they don't take into account that you are touching something on the controller (ie the trigger or the thumbrest) before going into sleep mode. In the Quest menu, the ghost hands have the tendency of disappearing (aka the controller thinks you aren't holding it) when not moving them even if you are touching something. This basic functionally Quest 2 and Quest 3/3s controllers correctly execute and they do not go to sleep mode when you are touching something on them.244Views0likes7CommentsQuest Link / Air Link suddenly stopped working today – session never starts
Device: Meta Quest 3 OS: Windows 11 GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080 Connection: Air Link and USB Link (same behavior) Quest Link (both Air Link and USB Link) was working normally for months and was working earlier today. After ending a session and starting another one, Link stopped working completely. The headset is detected, the session initializes, but it freezes on the grey/purple Link screen and never reaches VR Home. Eventually the session drops or returns to the headset home. This is not a USB issue, not a network issue, and not a headset pairing issue. Important facts Same hardware and setup working for ~4 months Worked earlier today No hardware change No Windows reinstall No BIOS change No GPU change What I already tried Reinstalled Meta Quest Link multiple times Factory reset the Quest 3 Removed all Oculus / Meta registry entries Clean GPU driver reinstall with DDU Downgraded NVIDIA driver Tested both Air Link and USB Link Repair installation Restarted all Meta/Oculus services Reconfigured the headset from scratch None of the above resolved the issue. Observed behavior PC app detects the headset Session enters VR mode Streaming loop starts Grey / purple Link screen appears No image is ever presented Session freezes or terminates This indicates the session is created, but the compositor never presents a valid frame. Relevant log behavior From Service.log and LinkClient.log (same timestamps): VR session initializes Streaming starts Frames may briefly decode Compositor or transport fails shortly after Errors such as: Failed to read display driver information Graphics adapter state UNKNOWN Elevated Shared Memory failed to initialize Error -1002 Registry/config access failures after reinstall This points to a runtime or compositor state failure, not user configuration. Key point This did not degrade gradually. It stopped working suddenly today after previously working normally. That strongly suggests a silent Meta runtime update or a runtime state corruption that reinstall does not fully reset. Request to Meta Please confirm whether there was a Quest Link / runtime update today Clarify how to perform a true clean runtime reset (not just reinstall) Confirm if there is a known issue with Link compositor initialization Provide a way to roll back the Quest Link runtime At the moment, Quest Link is completely unusable despite supported hardware and exhaustive troubleshooting. I can provide full Service and LinkClient logs with timestamps if needed.Solved6KViews35likes88CommentsGift purchases not sending email codes, money taken, no real support
I’ve tried multiple times to send a game as a gift (to my friend’s email and even my own alt). Each time, the money is deducted and I receive the Meta Horizon Store receipt, but the actual gift code email never arrives. Support has been no help at all — the only answer I get is “wait 30 days for an automatic refund if you can’t find the email.” This is not acceptable when real money is involved and the problem is clearly on Meta’s side. If there is an issue with Meta’s email/SMTP system for game gifts, it needs to be acknowledged and fixed immediately, instead of leaving customers stuck for a month with no product and no solution.417Views1like3CommentsUpdate installed wrong or bug, fixable or not? (Or refund?)
I recently bought a gunstock. I play a game called ghosts of tabor specifically. When i try to grip the front of my gun with my left trigger, i can't. This is because my left hand is too much to the right. This is caused by an update installed wrong or just a bug that's causing it. I am on meta quest 2. Is this fixable, or do i have to get a whole new headset just for that problem? It is a tracking issue, but i'm just not sure. Any help?41Views0likes3CommentsCan't change/edit my Horizon Avatar
Hello, I'm experiencing a frustrating bug in Quest 3: In Horizon Worlds, I can no longer change or edit my avatar (my in-game character)! Even when I'm looking in the mirror in my home apartment, the edit button on the right side of the window doesn't work... nothing happens. Restarting Quest 3 didn't help, and neither did clearing the cache. I've already submitted a bug report several times, but so far, no solution. Have any of you encountered a similar problem, or do you have any ideas on how to fix it? Or do I just have to wait for the next update and hope it works then? Best regards, Tomyi682Views2likes10Comments
