Why can't I cast my Meta Quest 3 to my Roku Tv?
For some reason when I go to try and cast my Meta Quest 3 headset to my tv, it only picks up 2 other TV's and a computer. There is no "look for other devices" button so it just won't let me connect to my tv and continues to only give me the other tv and computer casting options. Please tell me there is a way to cast to my Roku TV that I'm not seeing.17KViews0likes10CommentsCasting to phone does not show the full view
When I cast my Meta Quest 3 to my phone with screen ratio 21:9, I see pretty much nothing of what the person is looking at and I constantly tell them to look down. Then I noticed that even when I record the screen or when I take a screenshot, what I see doesn't align with what's recorded. In the video below I trace the edges of my field of view with my finger. As you can see, there is a large portion of the video that I don't see through my headset and a large portion that I see, but it's not being recorded. Combine that with cropping the video to fit a wide-screen phone and what the person looks at is often beneath what's visible.

We were given a quest3 we sat up an avatar for my son and one for my daughter. We enjoy watching him in the tab but when it is my daughters turn we can not figure out how to view her on the oculas app. Is there a way to change the view from one avatar to another or is a second tab needed? *note* There are no children settings in place as my twins are teens. Any assistance is appreciated, thank you33Views0likes1CommentA question about the casting function
Hi everyone, I am reaching out on behalf of one of our clients. They wanted to know if the casting feature of the headset requires that the headset and the screen being casted to communicate on a peer-to-peer basis, or do they both go through the cloud? I would assume it is through the cloud since the user is required to go to horizon.meta.com/casting, but I wanted to doublecheck. Thank you, and please let me know if I should ask the client for any clarification on their question.35Views0likes1CommentHow do I set up Casting from a child’s account?
We’ve just purchased a quest 3 for my child for his Birthday, we’ve managed to set him up a child’s account supervised from my account (I won’t ever be using the device but set up my account just so I can manage his), but we can’t seem to cast to a tv/phone so we can watch him play? He asks us questions whilst he is playing, but we can’t help as can’t see what he’s doing, it says in order to cast we need to log in as me on the headset but then he wouldn’t be playing on his own account and wouldn’t be safe. Could you please let me know how we can set up casting from his account? Many thanks 😊Solved16KViews27likes25CommentsStill cannot use built in mic for casting on MQDH... Extremely obnoxious oversight...
I just don't understand. Meta is advertising this as the best way to cast gameplay and yet to this day there isn't even an option to turn on the mic. You can hear the mic when you record, but not when you cast? Make it make sense. The fact that this has been a common complaint for a couple years now just makes this all the more frustrating. If /casting can do it, what's stopping Dev Hub from doing it? Can anyone here think of a legitimate and logical reason for MQDH to lack this basic feature?1.1KViews0likes1CommentTest Users not logging into horizon.meta.com
Hi Everyone. Since about two months ago the test users that my company uses to deliver apps to our customers cannot be used to make casting to a pc, because for that logging into horizon.meta.com is required, and that capability aparently have been removed for test users. In comparison, when a normal user (not a test user) is used the logging to horizon.meta.com, and therefore the casting to a pc, can be achieved without problem. The situation has been reported to Meta and their response is that this behaviour is due to the country from which the request is made (Colombia). Arguing that the country is not currently supported. That response was refuted because evidence was sent to Meta showing the use of a VPN that carried the connection through Europe, and another connection attempted directly from California. Test with VPN --- --- Test from California --- The problem is only for the platform horizon.meta.com, because the same test user can log into http://www.meta.com and also into the cellphone app Meta Horizon. Our thoughts are that in the process of change from oculus.com/casting to horizon.meta.com/casting something could be broken and left the test users out. ¿Has anyone experienced something similar to our problem? ¿Any advice to cope with this situation?242Views0likes0CommentsMeta Quest 3 Recording Area is Too High

So recently I've seen that in the Camera, there's now an option to go live on YouTube and see your chat while you stream. I've tried to use this feature, but every time I do it always says "something went wrong". (for the record I use OBS studio and stream the oculus.com/casting window. WHAT I'VE TRIED: - Going live on OBS then casting - Starting a scheduled live If someone could please tell me what I'm doing wrong I would appreciate any help.13KViews6likes37Comments
