Controller snaps to Hand Wrist (Simultaneous tracking of Controllers and Hands)
Hi everyone, I have an issue that I enabled simultaneous tracking for both controllers and hands, everything works an all, just the controller is stuck in the hand all the time. I'm using Unity version 2022.3.52f1 and the Meta XR All-In-One-SDK version 71.0.0. About the setup: both Controllers and the Hand Tracking have the Show State "Always" since I want them tracked and in the scene constantly. Under Camera Rig "Simultaneous Hands and Controllers" is ticked as well as more below "Launch simultaneous Hand and Controllers mode". Body Tracking is by the way NOT enabled. Now further about the problem, when I have my controller in the hand it shows hand and controller, which is fine of course, but when I let go of the controller the virtual controller snaps to the wrist of my tracked hand and the virtual controller doesn't track my real controller anymore. When I pick it up again, the controller is tracked like nothing happened. This is for both hands and I couldn't achieve the effect I want like in this video, where both hands and controllers are constantly tracked and visible, no snapping to the wrist, but the controller stays where I put it down: https://youtu.be/ShIeLRZbUEA?si=UWLEchRaYYu9JS7M&t=348 I really hope you guys know what to do here, thanks ahead for the answers already! Hello, I'm trying to use Unity UI Scroll with UIButtons inside, but i can't get em to work with the controllers, but its working fine with hands gesture. The problem is with the sensitivity of the button to unselect, like if I can hold the controller without shaking its possible to selected but the normal use, the simple act of pressing the controller you move a little and the MetaQuest only registe the scroll movement and not the click.Solved1.3KViews0likes4CommentsExample of controller movement that's not teleportation?
Hey everyone. I've been playing around with the Meta All-In-One SDK, and after installing the samples I didn't see any locomotion examples aside from the teleportation one. Where can I find a typical movement one with the left thumbstick (forward, back, left strafe, right strafe) and the right thumbstick for snap turn? I've tried to use Blocks, hoping that it has a setup working out-of-the-box, but no luck there either. I'm coming from Unity's XR Toolkit which works great, but I wanted to see what Meta has put together. My main reason for switching over is for the Multimodal, using controllers and hands at the same time, which Unity's XR doesn't have. Thanks!1KViews0likes2CommentsTrigger the controller click button
Hello, I just put a Cube on the scene with his Box Collider then I added the Event Trigger > Pointer Click and I attached my public method as you can see below in the picture, but when i try to build and run on my MetaQuest 3 the application works fine, but i can't trigger the method when i pressed the controller's button on the Cube. I just want to click an object with my controller and execute a method, but i can't find any example any documentation related to this easy step. Any Idea? Hi, Please help. I developed an app that doesn't require controllers, hands, or gaze (just relax and watch). But after a while, the users get an annoying "(Right \ Left) Controllers not connected, press any key" popup message at each run. Is there a way to disable it through code or settings? (I am using Unity, OpenXR, and OVR) Thanks720Views1like0CommentsFaulty Meta Products leading to continuous woes
In less than a month I have been through 2 Meta quest headsets, yes 2! First was purchased on April 9, arrived April 10. May 3 the headset melted while plugged in using the charger provided in a good, working socket that has no issues charging anything else or anything electrical. Meta support wanted me to send them my headset, wait for approval to replace, and then wait to have the new (by new I mean refurbished) to come in, about a 2 week process for something I am trying to use daily for physical and mental health. Instead of waiting that ridiculously long time to get something replaced due to a defect that has been RAMPANTLY REPORTED ACROSS THE INTERNET, I returned the device to amazon who happily accepted the return after explaining the defect, and purchased a new headset. New Headset was purchased May 4. As of today, May 10, the right controller is now broken. Headset is not tracking it and all I see is a single blinking white light that flashes every half second or so. Went through all the troubleshooting, tried new batteries, tried existing known working batteries, unpaired and re-paired several times, rebooted the headset multiple times. I reached out to support and the only option yet again was to wait about 2 weeks to get a potentially working product. What is QA doing if I have essentially purchased 2 faulty products in less than a month from different retailers? What can be done to better this process for the customer? Why are there not more just straight up working devices being shipped to retailers? The entire experience has been sub par and I am beyond frustrated that I have spent almost $1000 on 2 256GB models that apparently just came with faulty products and now me, the customer, am being punished as a result. Hate this whole situation and heavily considering just returning the new headset that I have had for less than a week and just buying from a different manufacturer that do not have these reports everywhere.988Views1like1CommentQuest Pro HSE1DevKit - ADB unauthorised
Hi guys, I'm trying to pair the controllers to the Quest Pro HSE1DevKit but it's proving impossible. Also, I tried to sideload new firmware to the controllers but I can't because they are unauthorized. adb: sideload connection failed: device unauthorized. This adb server's $ADB_VENDOR_KEYS is not set Any suggestion on what to do? Cheers714Views0likes0Comments
