Can't un/pair controllers to Meta 3 Headset
Hi, I have about 20 Meta Quest 3 headset. I mostly develop for them hands free, so I don't care about the controllers at all. The things is all the controllers got mixed up. I want to do factory reset on many devices but I can't proceed without pairing some controllers, but they don't pair because they are paired to hell knows what device with hell know which account. I had bought the Meta Quest s3 back in December for Christmas. Within a month, my right controller had a bad stick shift that made anything unplayable. Mind you that, there wasn't any games that I had that I had to used the thumbstick for so for a component that I barely used break was awful. I had to send the controller for a replacement. It took a month for them to send back a controller with about 3-4 times contacting customer service to ask about my replacement with no answer. The only answer they gave me was "We will look into this matter" all the times I've contacted them to get any updates. This experience itself was appalling. Now my left controller isn't pairing to my headset. It is stuck on "Updating firmware" only for it to fail. When a prompt comes up to pair the controller, nothing happens when I hold Y and =, no vibrations, just the controller blinking. My right controller is connected just fine. I've tried hard booting, I've tried unpairing and pairing it through my phone, I've replaced new batteries, I've tried using their software update tool, I've contacted customer service and went through the steps to troubleshoot. I've spent the past 2 hours troubleshooting to no avail. Now they just want me to send it in for another replacement. This is one of the worst experience I've had with any company or products and all I can get is "I'm sorry you are having a bad experience, I understand" but the company does very little to fix the issue. I feel like as if I've been sold a very bad product and being told this is the best they can do with a cheap apology attached. my quest 3 controllers are not working and i kept changing the battery putting new ones in, in case they died. this all started happening a couple months ago i don’t know why i was grounded from my vr for 2 years i got it back but when i did the controllers didn’t work i put new batteries in and it still didn’t work, i factory reset it and it didn’t work im stuck on the remove strap thing screen and my controllers won’t connect they aren’t broken because i haven’t used them please help me fix this i don’t have warranty so i cant afford to get a new vr or controllers if anyone knows what to do let me know. i saw earlier on how to factory reset the controllers but they won’t turn on no light or anything they have new batteries and it still didn’t work please someone help i can’t afford a new headset or controllers i’ve only got to use it for a month before i got grounded.148Views0likes7CommentsLatest Q3 headset software bricked my controllers...
Anyone else experience this? Factory reset doesn't fix, controller re-pair doesn't fix, holy water sprinkle...nada. Sounds like support has at least heard of it before, as they tell me a software fix is just a couple days away. Of course, that was after they tried to sell me on their out of warranty program. Hey there! My daughter and I both have the quest 3s. The issue is with the left controller on her 3s randomly quit working and won’t pair. Luckily I was able to pair my controller to hers headset. But now I’m down a controller 😞and can’t play with her anymore. This happened about 2 months after purchase. As @GhostBonezQuest pro controller failing to pair said, I too have tried all the troubleshooting possible and to no avail, it won’t connect to either headset. Bonjour, ça fait des au moins deux semaines que j’ai un problème avec mon Link depuis la nouvelle mise à jour v85 de mon Quest 3 mon ne me semble plus fonctionner. Meta Quest 3s worst device I ever purchased. Can’t connect device to app, did all the troubleshooting tips besides with Pc cause I don’t have one and that’s unfair to the customers who don’t have one cause now we out of 300 plus dollars. If the issue is a software issue regardless of warranty or not Meta should be able to fix it cause this is happening on their end. I’m a very dissatisfied customer and I’m looking into a class action lawsuit. Too many customers are experiencing the same issue with no solution. I dislike wasting my money especially when I work very hard to get the device for it to stop working on Meta part not mine.
