Oculus quest 2 developer mode not working properly
Hello, Since yesterday 15:30 (AMS time) The developer hub app stopped working properly. I've done a total of 3 factory resets. I reinstalled all my accounts. Reinstalled every app on my computer for developing for the oculus. But the problem persists. The problem is: I connect the oculus through the usb cable to the computer. The hub detects it as usual. But 6 seconds into the future and it kicks the device right of the hub. It tells me: Device detected but unauthorized. Please put on your headset to confirm the USB Debugging dialog. Funny thing is, I allowed this already. I have to restart the device to see this window pop up again. It's on always allow for this computer. But the problem still persists. It kicks my device after exactly 6 seconds and I get the same message, over and over again. Lovely problem. Working already for 6 hours to resolve this problem, but can't seem to find anyone on any forum with the same problem. I haven't found a work around so if someone finds a solution or knows what is wrong please let me know. Just want to add that this is one of the worst devices I have worked with. I have a game that released Thursday morning, but it isn't showing up on the "Latest Releases" page. None of the categories or search terms that we submitted in the metadata section are working. The only way people can get to our game is if they search the title directly. This is absolutely destroying the release of our game, is there anyone I can talk to, or is there something that needs to be done to get the game displaying in the proper areas? For the last week or so, I get the error "Tax ID verification is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." when attempting to setup a payout account in the dev dashboard. This onlys happens for EINs, individual ids don't cause errors. In my case, I need to setup my LLC. Our users cannot redeem the Product Keys created from the developer dashboard: https://developer.oculus.com/manage/applications/[appid]/oculus-keys/ The previously working process was to visit page: https://secure.oculus.com/redeem-code/ and enter their product key. Now the field will not accept the full product key which is 5 groups of 5 alphanumeric characters plus 4 dashes (29 chars). Hello, I need to talk about using Quest3 for education purposes. I'm the IT guy in a public high school and we bought 5 headsets as a starter. I'm having a few problems on securing the device and the UI. We want to buy more headsets but I will wait before these issues are fixed. We need a somewhat controlled environnement for students. We want them to give them access to only specific apps and games and be able to block them from downloading any games that they want. Because we don't see what they do in VR, we don't want them do to somehting completly different than what they are supposed to do and download and play Population One for example. The only way I was able to do it is creating child accounts but now all social features are not available so they can't be in a VR experience together so that is not a viable option. If I could have the option to put a **bleep** on the store that would literraly fix most of my problems. The other thing I would really like is be able to move the icons of games and apps. Being able to make categories would be nice to have also. Can you imagine a cellphone that wouldn't let you sort your icons the way you want in 2024 ? I really feel like the Quest3 is an advanced piece of technology but with an outaded UI. If you are serious about Quest3 for education I believe that you need to make those changes. You are promoting VR for education (https://about.meta.com/immersive-learning/) and yet you say that this simple feature is only possible through the Meta for Business. Business and education are two different environnements. We don't have a lot of budget in public schools, I'm sure you already know that. It really makes no sense to ask us to pay 15$ a month per device only to lock the Store so that our students don't do whatever they want. I think it is also a bit shady to promote VR for education when you don't specifically say on your webpage that you NEED to pay for Meta for Business to secure these devices. Think about 13-16 years old teens, they want to do everything except what they are asked. So YES, these devices must be secured. I think you could benefit a lot from making the Quest a viable device for schools and education. As I said, a simple lock with **bleep** protection on the store would fix most of my problems. Meta Messaging Dashboard
Will there ever be a dashboard created with Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM’s and Whatsapp combined? Since Meta owns all these platforms will they ever combine all messages in a singular dashboard for easy access? Instead of opening all the different platform in different tabs you can simply cross share messages without problem.
