Developer Mode Issues Update
Hello everyone, Thank you all for your reports and your patience on this issue! In regards to developers being unable to enable Developer Mode in the Oculus app, a new update has been pushed to fix the issue. Please update your Oculus app to the latest version (as of the date of this post) and try enabling Developer Mode once more. Update 11/8: The fix pushed to the latest App Update does not seem to have fixed the issue for all developers. At this time we are re-opening the issue and will update this post as well as this forum thread with any relevant details. In the meantime, many of our awesome developers have shared that verifying using a Credit Card allowed the Developer Mode option to appear. Update 11/15: We have received reports that this issue has been fixed for most developers experiencing this issue. Please log out and log back into your Oculus app and try enabling Developer Mode once more. If you still experience the same issue, please reach out to our team at https://developer.oculus.com/support (click "Contact Us") and we'll dive deeper.32KViews8likes53CommentsCan't verify Oculus Developer Account
I wanted to Turn on developer mode for my account, but every time I try it will tell me to verify my account. I didn't have a payment method and Phone Number Verification wasn't working so I got the Authenticator App and connected it which did work. The only problem is when I go to create an organization, it still tells me to verify my account when I already have 2FA. I've reloaded and don't know what to do. Can anyone help me?Solved19KViews6likes25CommentsOculus quest 2 developer mode not working properly
Hello, Since yesterday 15:30 (AMS time) The developer hub app stopped working properly. I've done a total of 3 factory resets. I reinstalled all my accounts. Reinstalled every app on my computer for developing for the oculus. But the problem persists. The problem is: I connect the oculus through the usb cable to the computer. The hub detects it as usual. But 6 seconds into the future and it kicks the device right of the hub. It tells me: Device detected but unauthorized. Please put on your headset to confirm the USB Debugging dialog. Funny thing is, I allowed this already. I have to restart the device to see this window pop up again. It's on always allow for this computer. But the problem still persists. It kicks my device after exactly 6 seconds and I get the same message, over and over again. Lovely problem. Working already for 6 hours to resolve this problem, but can't seem to find anyone on any forum with the same problem. I haven't found a work around so if someone finds a solution or knows what is wrong please let me know. Just want to add that this is one of the worst devices I have worked with. Can't seem to get this device to work stable for development. Mark fix your company14KViews4likes6Comments[Feature Request] Camera and Depth raw data access through USB ADB connection
I know there have been plenty of other posts requesting access to the camera feeds from the Quest devices, and I understand the privacy and potential PR issues that might arise from giving apps access to the raw feeds from the cameras. I know Passthrough Over Link exists, but it's not the original data. What I don't understand, however, is why the raw data isn't accessible through a wired ADB connection... Wouldn't it be possible to enable access to the raw data of each camera and the depth sensor through a wired ADB connection, without exposing it to apps running on the device? Akin to what is done for screen capture as described in https://creator.oculus.com/create-build/capturing-video-from-a-quest-headset/ I'm interested in using the data for my university research, but the lack of access to it is rather disappointing.1.1KViews4likes1CommentIs WebXR dom-overlay support hidden behind a feature flag?
Hi, I'm trying to use the WebXR `dom-overlay` feature. I've tried some online demos and turning on these Chrome flags: "WebXR Experiments" "Experimental Platform features" But no joy. Is this simply not supported? Is there any plan to support it? Thanks Wayne5.6KViews3likes10CommentsError in mobile app when try to set developer mode
I cannot set developer mode after doing a factory reset on my Quest 2. I'm having the black screen issues, so I did a factory reset to try to solve it. But it doesn't help and now I'm trying to get developer mode to disable proximity sensor, but when I switch the developer mode button in mobile app I'm getting the error shown in the picture. The message in red says: we're having trouble completing your request. Try again... I haven't had problems to set developer mode before. But now it seems impossible. I tried all common troubleshooting... Remove phone number / CC in developer account, I created a new developer account, changed the Oculus account, tried in another phone, etc. Nothing helped. Because black screen I cannot even enter the Oculus home. Tried all known troubleshooting to solve Oculus black screen issue, nothing helped too.2.1KViews2likes4CommentsDeveloper Mode Disabled when switching to Secondary Account
I have some testers that when they change to a secondary account on their Oculus Quest 2, Developer Mode becomes disabled and have to use Oculus phone app to re-enable. Looking for a solution or fix that does not require Developer Mode to be re-enabled every time their spouse or kids use the Oculus.Solved5.2KViews2likes3Comments
